Stole My Heart

I stood there frozen in disbelief. I had a million thoughts running through my head. I got really dizzy and found it hard to breathe. My ears were ringing from all of the screams and cheering. I remembered I still had the earplugs in my hand, but I was paralyzed. There were thousands of people all around and I felt as though the walls were closing in - I was definitely feeling claustrophobic.

Then I felt Niall squeeze my hand with comfort and reassurance and I could breathe again. I put my earplugs in (which did help but not a whole lot). I turned to face him and he had the most dazzling smile on his face. His eyes twinkled in triumph.

I saw the rest of the boys standing there along with Heather, Nina, and Sarah. They were all looking at Niall and me. Niall must have noticed this too because he turned to Louis and said, "Louis, she's not my girlfriend, not yet anyway." he said turning to me. I just looked down, smiling in embarrassment, looked up and rolled my eyes, knowing that that was never going to happen.

Louis shrugged and said, "Whatever you say Niall." unconvinced.

"Everyone, I'd like you to meet Heather, Nina, Sarah, and Laurel." Zayn said, trying to get the performance back on track.

There were some boos but mostly cheers as he introduced us.

"They're going to be singing with us tonight." he said smiling.

I could tell that both Nina and Sarah were at least as nervous as I was about singing in front of all these people. Heather, being the outgoing person that she is, didn't seem to mind much. I think she was too busy fangirling because Louis was holding her hand. The only difference between Nina and Sarah singing is that they actually can sing; I however, cannot.

Niall squeezed my hand a couple of times, trying to let me know I was going to be fine, but it didn't help. I just kept taking deep breaths and praying that they didn't hand me a microphone.
