Hanging By A Moment

Harry's POV:
After lunch we all gathered in the lounge. Dani and El were playing with Taleiah while Zayn and I had Jacob in the middle of us. The other lads where trying to decide on a movie. Perrie and Sammie entered the room. 'Guys guess what? Sammie's going home' Perrie frowned. 'What' everyone chorused in disappointment, even I did. 'Sammie please stay' El pleaded to her as she placed the food on the table. 'We were only supposed to stay the night' Sammie explained. 'But we haven't had much time to catch up' Dani pouted. 'I'm sorry girls, but there's too many of us here and there's not enough bed' she explained. I think she was feeling guilty for taking my bed and making me sleep on the couch. 'Samantha pleaseee' Louis walked over and kneeled in front her. 'Guys, Zayn and Harry can't keep sleeping on the couch' she told us. 'No it's okay' Zayn and I chorused. I flashed her a smile to show her that it was okay for me to sleep on the couch again, as long as she stays.

Samantha's POV:
They've done it again.

Yup, they've convinced me to stay for another night. Peer pressure, I think that's what it was. Although, I think I knew for myself, that I had no chance in putting up a fight against 5 boys and 3 girls. We had just finished dinner and were all starting to gather in the lounge. The girls and I were in the kitchen preparing some snacks and drinks for the rest of the evening. Even thought, we'd just finish dinner, we knew sooner the boys would be hungry again....and once they've turned into couch potatoes, we knew we would be nagged for food. We carried the bowls of chips and drinks and went in to the lounge. Woohoo' the boys cheered when they saw the food. Zayn had Jacob with him while Taleiah was with Niall.

'So what are we doing tonight?' Perrie asked as she sat next to Zayn. 'Movie or Video games?'Liam asked. 'Movie' the girls chorused. 'Video games' the boys shouted. Then there was an outburst of arguments travelling back and forth the room. 'YES!' Niall shouted randomly. 'Huh?' we all turned to him . 'I got Taleiah to talk' he said ecstatically. Niall had the biggest smile across his face, like it was one of the proudest moment of his existence. 'What did she say?' Harry asked. 'She said FOOD' he said proudly. We all laughed at his respond. 'Bro, I thought you got her to say your name' Zayn chuckled. 'I think we all thought that' Louis laughed. 'Hey, Food IS my middle name' Niall corrected and everyone gagged.

'Why don't we just play singstar?' Liam suggested. 'You know we can all just sing, chillax, chat among ourselves?' he said. We all looked at one another and exchanged nods. Don't ask me, why the boys had a copy of singstar at their place, I wouldn't have a clue either. 'Liam and I shall be the first duet' Louis announced. Liam went to set up the tv and we all took a seat on the couch.

'What song Louis?' Liam asked as he scanned through the selections. 'Um, who let the dogs out, please Liam' Louis replied with his polite tone. I tried to suppress a laugh at his choice of song.

'Who let the dogs out' Liam started to sing. 'Woof, woof, woof, woof' Louis started to bark. We all chorused in laughter at Louis' barking. 'When the party was nice, the party was bumpin' Liam sang the main part. 'Hey, Yippie, Yi, Yo' Louis was the second voice.

'Who let the dogs out' Liam sang. 'Woof, woof, woof, woof' we all joined Louis in his barking. 'Say, A doggy is nuttin' if he don't have a bone' Louis sang then gestured Harry to sing the next line, as he placed the mic towards his mouth. 'Come on Harold, don't be shy in front of Samantha' Louis teased him as he refused to sing. 'A doggy is nuttin' if he don't have a bone' Louis sang again and gave Harry a second chance to sing. 'All doggy hold ya' bone, all doggy hold it' he sang trying not to laugh.

After the comedy show that Liam and Louis put on, it was time for a new singer. 'Who's next?' Liam asked. 'Any volunteer for a solo' Louis waved the mic around. 'I think Harry should have a go' Zayn pointed at him. 'No thanks' Harry just smiled. 'Harold, we wanna hear your beautiful voice' Louis walked up to him and offered the mic. 'What would it take for you to sing?' Perrie called out. 'If Sammie says she wants you to sing will you do it' Louis placed his arm over Harry's shoulder. Did he just put me on the spot? Now I have to do the convincing?

'It would be nice to hear you sing' I rephrased the request. Immediately, Harry turned to where I was and flashed me a smile. 'What song Haz?' Liam assumed that I had managed to convince Harry. 'That one' he pointed to the tv, well I guess I was pretty convincing then. He got up and took the mic from Louis.'Good convincing skills Samantha' Louis came over and gave me a pat on the back. 'Wohooo' the boys cheered Harry as the song started to play.

"You make It hard for me to see somebody else. I'm calling her your name, yea it's messed up, cause I'm thinkin 'bout you" Harry commenced the song.

"I never wanted us to break up, No not this way" he sang.

"But you don't understand it girl. When she touches me, I'm wishing that they were your hands" I began to wonder why he had chosen this song.

"And if I could, just trade her in I would. Cause nobody compares to you" he changed to a higher tone.

"I think I better let her go, cause I can't leave you alone" everyone sang along with Harry.

"Every day that I'm with her, all I want is you" Perrie and Louis who where at either of my side pointed to me.

"I wanna leave but I'm afraid, that you don't even feel the same" I kept my eyes on Harry who was so focused in his singing.

"And now I realize that she ain't you" everyone surrounded me and pointed at me as if trying to serenade me. Thankfully, Harry was too focused on the screen, the he was oblivious of what was happening behind him.

"I think I better let her go, cause I can't leave you alone" Harry continued to sing.

They say that through music, people are able to express their feelings.

"Every day that I'm with her, all I want is you"

But what exactly is Harry feeling?

"I wanna leave but I'm afraid"

What is he trying to express through this?

"That you don't even feel the same"

Nothing makes sense. Isn't he dating Cara? The model of Burberry...right? I mean the other night, he had spent the whole day with her, well according to Niall he did.

"And now I realize that she ain't you"

Maybe this isn't one of those things your supposed to read deep into. Like in school when your English teacher ask what's the meaning behind the red rose. Maybe there's no need for an interpretation; maybe it's just a red rose. Maybe there is no meaning behind his choice of song.

"She ain't, no she ain't you" the song started to fade out.
