There Is Always Hope
A New Friend
*Three days later*
"Lilah it's time to go to school love!" My mum yells from downstairs "I KNOW I AM READY!" I yell back as I am quite frustrated doing my hair and makeup, I am currently in year nine and 14 and a half turning 15 at the end of year.
As I rush out the door Sarah pulls me in for a hug "I love you Lilah!". She always puts a smile on my face "I love you too SarahBear".
On the way walking to school I walk past this particular house and a boy with curls walks out I think his name is Harry? I don't know, he flashes me a smile and walks off. Wow.. Attractive much.
I miss dad so much... Although once I walked in the school grounds it was nice to have a lot of people come up too me and hug me, I get along with pretty much everyone here in Holmes Chapel. I moved here 3 years ago when Dad got a job as a vet here.
"Ouch!" I say as someone trips me over, I look up to see Harry bending down to grab my books and help me up "You alright love? Sorry I tripped you over, ohh hey I saw you earlier this morning!" I laugh and and we walk to class together chatting about how our week has been. I did tell him about dad and it did bring a tear to my eye.
But Harry just wiped it away and told me "Hey! I am here for you, do you want to walk home with me?". Without a second thought I reply "Yes I wou-" Then I am interrupted by Marie (My best friend) Yelling my name out from across the classroom. "LIH OMAGAWSH HI!". "Hey Marie come sit next to Harry".
The rest of the school day went pretty good, I spent it mostly with Marie and Harry. On the way home with Harry I feel it is necessary to get to know him a bit more.
"So Harry do you have any talents?". After a long think he tells me he can sing "So can I! We should sing a song together sometime!". "Well.. How about now, since we are out the front of your house".
"Okay hold on a second I'll grab my guitar".
Harry's P.O.V
Wow.. She is really pretty, Lilah I mean, I hope we can be best friends one day.
After about thirty seconds she comes running out the front door with her guitar. Asking me if I knew a Jesse Mccartney song and we ended up singing Just So You Know, and I must say, she has a brilliant voice.
"You have an amazing voise Lilah! You should sing more". She paused for a minute "Well I did... With my dad". And I realise have said that.
"I'm sorry". I apologise pulling her in for a hug. "It's okay, you want to study with me tonight?". With no hesitation I reply "Sure i will ask my mom!".
This is going to be a good friendship and I know it.
