There Is Always Hope
Worst Day Of My Life
*four years ago*
ambulance sirens. They are all I can hear now as I lay next to my dad on the ground, He has blood seeping through his white shirt making it impossible not to see how much pain he is in. I hear dad curse under his breath,
"Dad will we be okay?" I ask as I slip in and out of conciousness "Baby listen to me there is always hope, If I don't make it I just want you to know I love you!". I raise my hand to my head as I feel a wetness on my head then realise it is blood and I black out.
I wake up in a hospital bed with mom and my 13 year old sister crying on me. "M-mum wheres dad????".
"He's right next to you baby, you have both been in a coma for two weeks". I sit up and see dads lifeless body lying on the bed next to me.
"Mum can I be alone with dad for a minute?" She replies with a simple yes and leads Sarah out the door. I don't need to get out the bed since dads bed is an inch away from me, I grab his hand and cry into it softly.
"Daddy, I love you so much and I know that if you don't make it I will do my best to make you proud of me, I will go to university and I will become a vet like we always planned" I suddenly stop for a moment to think "I will make you proud dad! Because after all there is always hope". Right after I say those words I hear a long beeping sound, and doctors come running in to try and revive him as I sit there with tears filling up in my eyes.
"NO HOWARD DON'T LEAVE ME!". I hear my mom continuosly cry out between sobs while my sister runs to me and cries into my shoulder.
"He's gone Sarah......."
