I woke up the next morning in my tent. The problem was, I don’t remember going into my room. I got out of my tent and moaned the light burned my eyes. I shuffled towards the fire pit were Liam was skinning some small mammal beside the open fire; Niall came back with a bucket of small red and blue berries. Hades walked over to me and yapped happy i tapped his head and he returned to his spot next to Liam.

“Morning Scarlett,” He smiled handing me some “ Fresh Raspberry’s and Blackberry’s, their safe I promise.”

I ate one they were sweet “mmm, they are really good Niall! Were did you find them?”

“Up on the top of the hill, they are sweetest by the sun, my mum had taught me it.” Niall smiled

“I might just marry you” I laughed and elbowed him

“I would be okay with that” He chuckled

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Liam’s face darken with anger and Zayn stiffen. Okay then…

“So what’s for breakfast?” I asked skipping over to Liam

“Rabbit, and the berries Niall collected” Liam blushed

“ We have flour, and sugar and a bit of baking soda, and honey.” I said “Maybe I can make a sad equivalent to pancakes,”

“I can do that if you’d like,” Harry said walking up from the quarry.

I blushed darkly “That would be nice of you Harry, I would like to apologize for holding a knife to your throat and a gun to your head and neck yesterday.”

“It’s fine Scarlett, I get it strength in numbers, But I’m not going to hurt you none of us are, no one can replace Nick, but we want to make you better.” Harry said his big green eyes earnest.

“Thank you Harry” I walked up to him and hugged him hard.

Harry was warm and smelt of fresh water pine needles and sweat, not exactly what you would call the great smelling but it worked for him and the natural smell of his skin. His skin was soft and warm a tad bit burned in some places like under his eyes by his nose.

I lightly ran my finger over it “I have something to fix this” I mumbled, “does it hurt?”

“not to bad” he whispered softly, this time I noticed how close we really were his lips were so close to me that I could feel his hot breath on my cheek and his hands still held me to him. I blushed darkly and pulled away.

“Show me were the flour is!” Harry said

“ Okay so Louis If you can go to the Lake and get two buckets full of water and then boil them over the fire by the time we get back we can make the pancakes and even make a broth with the remaining deer meat. Have a nice soup of lunch.”

“Yeah that sounds great Scarlett!” Louis smiled grabbing the buckets and heading off.
“Harry’s on pancake duty, Liam is skinning Louis getting water, Niall’s got the berries- can you go pick up some more please? And Zayn your going to come with me.” I said “if its okay with you.”

“Yup, I’ll go right now” Niall smiled

Zayn stood up “yeah that would be great”

“Okay” I said to Zayn “you see these they are mint leaves and this is fresh thyme and this is basil. Oouuu! And this is oregano!” I tugged up large amounts of each herb taking extra care for the Oregano and Mint. The mint made a fantastic tea and the oregano, just reminded me of home.

We walked back to the camp with all of our materials and began making breakfast.
