Everything went in slow motion, Liam falling through the air Zayn and Louis shouting something I cant quite recall my hand shooting out through the air to get Liam- but I missed.

Silence over took everyone

“LIAM” I shouted

I dropped to my knees beside him

“Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck” I muttered as I took his head in my lap, pulling his tongue out of his mouth so he wouldn’t choke on it. The rock below his head was covered in blood.

“Someone help me get him over there “I pointed to the wooden table.

Louis helped me we took his over to the table.

“GET HARRY NOW” I shouted at Zayn

“Niall Bring me mine and Harry’s bags” I stuttered

I put my ear over his nose and felt his chest rising and falling, I put his head on an angle so his tongue didn’t clog his airway

“Primary check” I muttered my first aid training coming out.

I skimmed my hands over his body roughly.

Niall gave me everything. “Good” I said “thanks”

I then did my secondary check. I ran my fingers through his hair and checked for any cuts or blood. Clean

His head, Bloody.

Harry came running “What happened?!?!”

“ Clean his head wound” I demanded “NOW!”

He did as he was told I did the rest of the check

his arms, clean

his legs, clean

his hands, clean

I went to his chest touched his collar bones and the ran my fingers down his chest. When I got to his right side I noticed blood, fresh blood. I ripped open his shirt and looked at it my stomach knotted up and the urge to vomit came over me. Liam had a huge weeping, festering wound on his left side. Covered in blood.

I froze “H-how long has t-this b-b-been h-here?” I asked shakily

Harry looked over “A week, a week more or less, it happened a week ago we tried to stitch it up.”

I looked closer and saw the torn stitches pus covered them. It smelled putrid.

“He-he’s practically rotting away while he’s alive, he’s bleeding out” My eyes got wide.

I grabbed the small medical kit in my tent and ran back.

I pulled out the small set of scissors used to remove stitches. And carefully cut the two remaining stiches I then grabbed the tweezers and tugged on the pieces of string. They weren’t medical grade- string- surgeon or needle, who stitched him up previously. Nick had given me training I was as good as him- It ran in the family. I grabbed the peroxide and doused his wound patting it dry with the sterile gauze. After I cleaned his wound I realized that luckily he was not rotting away-yet- but the heat had set in a mild infection.

“Anti-infection cream” I demanded from harry “Flashlight”

I quickly cleaned the wound again and then cleaned my hands. I opened the pack with the clean sterile needle and ran the medical grade thread through it. Harry came running back he pointed the flashlight at it. And I began stitching him up. When I finished I took some rubbing alcohol on a clean pad and then whipped it down I covered the wound in anti-infection cream and covered it with gauze I then took medical tape and wrapped it around the gauze.

“Harry” I said a little more calmly “get him into a sitting position so I can wrap this”- I gestured to a gauze roll “around him”

Harry did as he was told and I wrapped him up.
