Sixty-One

"Hi Robert." I answered the phone with only one eye opened.

"Hey Sophia, can you come to the studio today?"

"Is something wrong?" I frowned.

"No, no. It's just to discuss a few thing about the contract." He explained.

"Aren't we supposed to sign the contract only next week?"

"Yes, you won't sign the contract, it's just to discuss a few clauses first." Robert quickly added.

"Does it really have to be now? I mean shouldn't we wait until Harry gets back?"

"He's already here hon." Oh.

"Okay then, I guess i'll see you in a while."

That's nice of Harry to NOT tell me he's here already. He went with his band to Ireland for a few days to do some gigs and we haven't spoken in the mean time.
We were supposed to have two weeks to get along before we start shooting and it's been a week already. Obviously we don't get along well enough to create the chemistry everyone expects us to in the movie but I'm starting to believe that will never happen.
Seriously why couldn't they just choose a normal and caring guy who'd become friends with me. There was no need for us to be in love but it'd be nice to have someone friendly to pretend to be in love with. I guess Harry's just not that person...

When he came here before he flew out I can't say it was bad, we kind of got along as much as Harry and I can get along and he was not a jerk, at least not all the time, I'd catch some nice things he'd say but as soon as he realizes be's being nice he quickly shuts down and gets back to his normal asshole self.
Ii's weird because I know millions of girl around the world idolize him and I've also seen videos and interviews where he's really nice to everyone which leads me to conclude that the problem must be exactly with me.

Sighing I stood up and dressed myself trying to looks at least nice. I try to convince myself it's not because of Harry but because it's a meeting with all the directors of the movie and I need to be at my best.
(Sophia's Outfit)

I end up leaving 40 minutes later, giving Milo the address. I hate not being able to drive specially because i already have my license. My dad is so stubborn, it wouldn't cause any harm for me to drive in here.

"We're here miss Sophia." Milo looked through the rear mirror.

"Thanks Milo, I'll call you when I need to get back."

I sighed twice before entering through the building doors heading to the conference room Robert told me.
Before entering I had a quick visit to the toilet, I guess I'm the kind of person who pees a lot when nervous.
I had a last look at the mirror, wiping the sweat under my blue eyes and exited.

"Ouch!" I flinched when my body collided with something hard.

"Oh sorry!" A tick british accent mumbled. Of course...

"Nice of you to tell me you're back." I said sarcastically.

"Excuse me?" He tilted his head amused by my annoyance.

"You heard me, I thought you'd say something when you got back from your band trip so we could practice a little more." I explained crossing my arms.

"You were expecting me to call you?" He smirked bringing his hand up to push his curls of his forehead. I tried to ignore the sexiness of the gesture and focus on my anger towards him.

"What? No! I'm just saying it'd be nice of you to say something since we start shooting next week."

"You're cute when you're annoyed." He replied eyeing me from head to toe.

"Seriously Harry, you need to start taking this more seriously, I'm not going to work with a spoiled little teenager who think he can act the way he want without caring about other people's needs." I couldn't help but raise my voice a little.

He grabbed me by the hip with one hand and pushed me against the wall, leaving me absolutely no way out between completely squished between his body and the wall. My heart started beating rapidly in my chest as I stared at his green eyes darkening.

"Don't ever talk about me like that." He advised in a low husky voice. "Got it?" He added glancing at my lips. I shivered.

"You don't get to tell me what to do." I pushed at his chest freeing myself and entered the conference room without looking back.

"Sophia, nice to see you!" Robert was the first one to greet me.

I've met some of the producers already but there's a blonde woman I've never met sat in the main chair.

"This is Miranda, she's the head of the movie." Robert introduced her.

"Hello." I smiled at her. She stood up, dressed in a tight red dress that definitely enlightens all her curves. Her blonde shiny hair falls in cascades around her shoulder and I can't help but think of how beautiful she is.

"Nice to meet you, Sophia." She said politely.

"We can take a seat, Harry must be here any second." Robert suggested. I remain quiet about my little encounter with him just a couple minutes ago and take a seat.

There's only an empty chair across from me and I know for sure it's for him.
Speaking of the devil, there's a slight knock at the door and Harry's curls peek in. he greets everyone very politely, including me pretending we hadn't just met outside and takes a sit.

"So, now that everyone's here we can start." Miranda smiled particularly at Harry. "We called you here today because there's some specifications we need to discuss for the contract and we want to make sure you agree with it before we formally sign it." She explained looking at me this time.

"So, as you know the movie will take action in different places, even different countries. We have a schedule planned by detail and nothing can fail so I need to know that you will never miss a flight and will always be available to fly with the crew."

"That's not a problem for me." I instantly replied. All eyes turned to Harry.

"As long as everything's planed earlier, I can speak to management and they won't schedule anything for the band in that period." Harry shrugged.

Miranda smiled largely at him before proceeding. she's smiling a lot at him... But yet he's doing the same so...

"Perfect! Now there's only more two particularities I'd like to focus on." She stared at her papers. "It's about your personal life." Harry and I exchanged a look before turning to her again.

"I know you'll be playing a character but sometimes fiction is transported to real life and the actors tend to fall in love in reality. Now I need you to assure me that wont happen because it'd ruin the purpose of the movie and we also don't want any news that you're seeing each other because that's not the point for Harry, right?"

"So, you're saying we can't fall for each in real life?" Harry questioned.

"Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. The contract will express that very clearly and in case you break that rule you'll have to pay 15 million pounds and the movie will be immediately canceled." Miranda clarified. 15 million? That's ridiculous the amount of money...

"Are we clear?" She eyed us both.

"That won't be a problem." I spoke. I saw Harry looking at me from the corner of my eye but I remained focused on Miranda.

There's absolutely no chance I'll ever like Harry in that way, he's rude and obnoxious and I'd never fall in love with someone like that so I have absolutely no problem in agreeing with that rule.

"Yeah that's fine for me too." He replied leaning against the chair.

"Absolutely perfect!" Miranda showed us her best award winning smile.

"I guess the major business is done." Robert concluded.

"Let's just review some minor rules." Miranda spoke.

"Well that being said, we'd like to see the two main characters perform a little." One of the producers spoke. What?

"Yes, why not?" Robert glanced between me and Harry.

I could see my panic mirrored in his own eyes. We have only practiced once and it was not very good. But we can't say that to the producers. So I swallowed the lump in my chest and nodded. Harry looked surprised but stood up anyways.
We moved to the front of the room and we were handed two scripts.

"Let's go to the part where Dylan confesses his love for Beatrice."

I relaxed a little because that exactly the only part Harry and I have rehearsed.

"We want to see the full scene okay? Show us what you got?" he clapped.

Full scene? Does that include the kiss? Because that's something we haven't rehearsed for sure and I definitely don't wanna do it in front of all the producers and directors now.

Harry didn't seem very affected but i bet that's because he doesn't even remember what scene is that even though h's reading it in the script right now.
I took a deep sigh with all Beatrice's words in mind when we were commanded to start.

"Beatrice, I like you and I just need to know if the feeling is mutual." Harry spoke his characters words.

"I like you too Dylan but I don't want to ruin our friendship."

"We won't!" He grabbed my face in his hands surprising me. he had never done that before when we went through that part. Yet it was only one time. "We can make it work if we really want to... I just need to know if you're willing to try."

I pretended to debate on that, biting my lip to demonstrate confusion. Harry's eyes glanced at my mouth before focusing on my eyes again.

"I am." I replied. he showed me his best smile as if he really meant it.

That's the part where they both kiss and no one told us to stop so I guess they really meant the FULL scene when they said it earlier.
Harry looked at me as if asking for permission because Dylan is the one supposed to kiss Beatrice.
I gave him a small nod and he leaned in slowly. My eyes fluttered close when his lips brushed mine ever so slightly.

"OKAY!" Miranda interrupted loudly causing Harry and I to jump apart. "I guess that's enough, there's no need for you to perform that part." She gathered her paperwork. "We'll sign the contract tuesday at 2. I don't like when people make me wait." She added rather rudely before exiting with all the producers following like puppies behind except Robert.

"It's not bad guys, but you really need to work on your chemistry." He advised. Yeah, that's hopeless...

"We're trying." Harry spoke. I turned my head to him frowning. Since when is HE trying!?

"Good, now you two should leave the building together because there's a lot of paps outside and we want to pass the impression that you're good friends okay? And Harry you need to be very careful with what you do, we don't want people to think you two are together but that you can be able to be only friends with a woman. Got it?"

"Yes Robert, don't worry." Harry rolled his eyes.

"Good." Rob laughed. "Now go face them!" He exited the room leaving me and Harry alone.

"Are you ready?" Harry asked.

"Yes." I picked my bag from my chair.

Harry opened the door and held it for me to exit first. I nodded walking past him and exited the room with him right behind.

"There's no need for you to pretend to be nice to me while we're in here." I whispered at him.

"I'm not pretending, I can be nice." He whispered back. "If people allow me to..."

I ignored his last sentence and kept walking. If I were to answer we'd certainly yell start fighting and that's the last thing we want inside this building, everyone thinks we get along well and there's no need to ruin that image of friends for the rest of the people...

"What the..." I heard my own gasp staring at the commotion outside the glass door. There's at least three hundred people outside and I have no idea how am I supposed to get through them.

"They wont bite." harry chuckled.

"I will stay here until Milo comes pick me up, I have to cal him."

"Milo?" He raised his brows at me.

"My driver."

"Oh. I'll take you home." Harry shrugged.

"That's fine, he will do it."

"Don't be silly, you're not going to face the paps alone." He rolled my eyes grabbing my arms without permission.

In other occasions I would have protested but there's indeed a lot of people outside and I don't want to go there alone.
As soon as Harry opened the door, I heard the clicks and flashed and a thousand questions being tossed at both. People were shouting my name and asking a lot of personal questions including if Harry and I were dating but I ignored everything and kept walking behind Harry staring at the floor.
I squealed when someone tried to grab my arm and immediately held on to Harry's shirt. He turned around swiftly and his eyes found mine.
I don't know if it was the fear that he recognized in my eyes but whatever was made him take my hand and lead me through the crowd.
I held onto his hand tightly and allowed him to direct the way to his car.

Once inside, I dared to look at the windows but instantly regretted when the flashed almost blinded me.
Harry entered the driver's seat and started the car trying to move.

"That was crazy..." I commented relaxing a little in my seat when we were finally safe on the highway.

"Welcome to my life." Harry winked smiling at me. I couldn't help but smile too.
