The new start
Chapter thirty-eight, "Getting ready for the party"
"Have a seat." He said and pointed out the chair in front of his desk. His office was pretty small filled with books and in the corner a desk was placed. I sat down in front of it and he sat down behind the desk. He was so short that you barely could see his throat when he was sitting down.
"So, what do you want to talk about?" I asked and looked into his eyes, they were dark and scary. I looked down again, this guy really freaked me out.
"Look, I know girls like you. They don´t care about anything and just ruin for everybody else. But you can´t be like that here, so you better behave. I have some methods if you don´t." He said and it was like his eyes saw right through me, like he could read my mind. What did he mean by methods? Did he hit you? Did he drug you down and hurt you? Amy, are you kidding with me? This is a school, not a mental house. Oh, I actually had missed that voice.
"What methods?" I asked and the voice had made me feel more self-confident. This short little guy with round glasses can´t hurt me.
"Methods I don´t think you want to experience." He said and it felt really creepy because when he said that he smiled. Saying that and smiling just didn´t work together. I sighed, this school was sick. But all I could do was except it, I am locked here until the season is over.
"So do you understand?" He asked and stood up.
"Yes I do, sir." I said and he opened the door again. It was nice getting into the classroom again. His office really stank of sweat. I went back to my spot and saw that Liam already was done. He had made some bubbling water or something.
"That looks great." I said and looked around, no one else had made it as good as Liam. This guy must really be a genius.
"Thank you, what did he say?" He asked and looked at me with curios eyes.
"Something about methods, I don´t really know." I said and shrugged.
"I think you should listen to him." He said and got serious. This was strange. Why was everyone so scared of those methods? When I was just about to ask him why, the creepy short guy with the glasses started talking.
"So, that´s it for today. Good job everyone." He said and everyone left the classroom. I needed to go and find Amy to see if she knew what everyone was talking about. I looked at the paper Summer had given me and realized the science was the only lesson I had today. It was already 4 o´clock, this day had passed by very quickly. But that lesson had been in forever so maybe that wasn´t so weird. Then I heard a voice in the speakers again. This time it was Summer.
"Hello everyone, my name is Rosie Roberts and today at seven pm I will throw a welcome party. Everyone is invited." I guess everything went like Summer had planned. I was a little nervous about the party, what if somehow it got out that I knew about that the big secret would reveal? I would probably get very unpopular and I don´t even want to think about what all my friends would think of me. But there was nothing I could do now. Instead I typed in Chloe´s number.
"Hello Amy, where are you?" She asked and sounded worried. Shit, maybe I should have texted her about before, that I wouldn´t come to the cafeteria.
"Outside the science room, where are you?" I asked.
"Meet me in the cafeteria." She said and hung up. What was with the freaked out voice? I looked around to see if I could find the cafeteria or ask someone but the hallway was empty. God, I really hate this school. Then I heard something behind the corner.
"Hello?" I asked, the feeling that someone was watching me came back. I looked around. But there was no one there. I walked briskly to the other end of the hallway, no way I wanted to be close that creepy thing that was following me. I breathed out when I saw the cafeteria. It was big with many tables and almost every one of them was filled with people. In the corner Chloe sat, all alone.
"Hi, What´s up? You sounded so freaked out on the phone." I said and looked her in the eyes.
"Well haven´t you heard? Rosie is here and she is throwing a party and on top of all that she is our roommate." Chloe said and looked stressed, I had forgotten she knew about the texting thing.
"I talked to her, it´s fine. It was not our conversation. It will be nice to have her as a roommate and you can´t say no to a party, right?" I said and smiled.
"Are you sure? It´s kind of creepy, it feels like she is following us." She said and I squeezed her hand.
"I am sure, now tell me all about Zayn." I said and it was like the whole Summer thing was blown away. Chloe smiled like usual and everything went back to normal. Except that I couldn´t get rid of the feeling that someone was watching me and it´s not Summer, I can feel it. Chloe kept talking about Zayn but i didn´t listen. It´s not that I am not interested, it´s just I have to much else on my mind. The plans for tonight, the stalker and so on, there was no place for Chloe´s babble.
"Amy, are you listening to me?" She asked for a while. I felt how my cheeks got red and I looked down.
"Yeah, of course I am." I said and smiled while I was blushing. Chloe laughed.
"You suck at lying, let´s go up and choose dresses for tonight. I hope Rosie isn´t there. I am not sure we can trust her." She said and we walked together up to our room. I had been wrong before when I had thought Summer was the only one I could feel safe with. Chloe too, but I can´t tell her about Louis. Maybe she still isn´t over him, then it hit me, she will find out tonight and I don´t think I can change Summer´s mind now, shit. All I can do is hope that she is over him. I couldn´t think about that anymore because we got to our dorm room. Chloe opened our door and as soon as we got in we started to tear our clothes out.
"What do you think about this one?" Chloe asked and held up a pink cute dress.
"Beautiful, but I think this outfit is better for you." I said and showed her what I had in mind.
"Oh my god, I love it. But you know if you get to choose my outfit I get to choose yours." She said and laughed, I got a bit worried, the outfit have to be sexy.
"Sure, I want something sexy to blow Harry´s mind of." I said and when I pronounced the name Harry I felt how my whole body hurted. He could just go to hell, this made me more sure that doing Summer´s plan was the right thing to do, Chloe would find out someday so why not today?
"Okay, what about this one." She said and showed me the perfect outfit, just like I had imagined it.
"You are the best at picking out outfits." I said and she laughed. Then I heard my phone buzz. I looked on it, a text from Summer.
Everything is on place, let the party begin :)
I took a deep breathe before I answered. The nervousness were killing me, would this really work? Maybe it was a bad idea, I was just about to text and say that she should stop the whole thing when it was like the evil side of me took place and I typed in the opposite of what the good side would type.
Great, I will be there in five minutes.
"Who was it?" Chloe asked and grabbed a purse.
"Harry, he wondered if we would go." I said and felt really bad for lying.
"Okay, well then let´s go." She said and smiled. I could see how the excitement was beaming in her eyes. At least Chloe was excited now, maybe the Louis thing wouldn´t matter now that she got Zayn.
