She's Not Afraid

Chapter 11

**Niall P O V**

"Turn right up here."
directed Liam from the backseat.

I turned the car onto a small dirt road that was beginning to get slick from the heavy snow accumulating on it. "Are we going to get snowed in?" Harry asked.

"Maybe.. it's unclear now according to my weather app, it's predicted at least a foot today, that's why we left the campsite, its too dangerous."

The car swayed from side to side over potholes, bouncing everyone in the car, even poor sleeping char who was kept up all night by the storm. "Hey Liam can you switch with me, I am not sure I can control this RV on this icy road?"

He nodded slowly, moving away from his spot and climbing to the front seat, as I moved to the backseat, sitting in his spot, beside Charlotte. For the remaining time, it stayed quiet until we drew closer to the destination.

The cabin was on top of the steep hill and was set back in a grove of trees that surrounded it on three sides. Behind the large cabin, mountains loomed high against the night sky. The boys and I hadn't ever been here before, liam's family owned this cabin.

He pulled up the car and turned the engine off. "Thank God," Louis said, throwing the door open, "My legs are killing me."

Charlotte's P O V

I squinted my eyes to the bright overhead lights, adjusting to the brightness. We all piled out of the car. I took a deep breath of crisp, cool air. Snow filtered down the back of my parka and caused a chill to run down my spine. The wind howled around us, as I pulled the parka tighter around me. "Well get the stuff, you go ahead and go inside and get some heat on" Harry suggested.

I rubbed my bare hands together eagerly, bounding my way through the snow toward the cabin's huge wraparound porch. I dug through my pocket, pulling out the key and pushed the door open. I flicked on a switch, and lights came on. The living room on my right had a large cathedral ceiling, with old wood beams running across the top of it. A large stone chimney took up the farthest wall, tapering slightly as it went out to the ceiling. The room was furnished with two large, creamy white couches that were extremely soft and comfortable. A forest green recliner was in between the couches and a glass coffee table was in the middle of the room. The far back wall was taken up by a long bar with a green bumper running around the edge of it. The wall behind it was a mirror, with glass shelves that were lined with bottles of alcohol.

I explored deeper, turning down a hall on the left side, and flicked on a light switch, passing a doorway on the right. The small half bath was done in a pale blue that was warm and inviting. I moved onto the kitchen, the floor was a light blue linoleum, in the center was a small island crafted from a light oak wood. The counters were a pale yellow tile and the cabinets were stained the color of dark wood. There was a window, covered by a long soft shimmery yellow curtains that brightened the whole room.

I smiled softly, I loved the cabin it had felt like home. It had elegant beauty and comfy furnishings. The smell of wood permeated the air to mingle with the hint of spices, crisp apple, cinnamon, and vanilla from the candles, scattered throughout the whole home.

The boys arrived inside, hearing them enter from the front door, dropping the heavy bags from their arms, with a sudden thud. " Let's get the fire started, it takes awhile to get this place warm" Liam said to the rest of the boys as he started gathering wood from the fireplace mantle.

"I'll make hot chocolate for all of us." Harry said, pushing back the coat from off his shoulders.

"Oh can I help?"

He nodded as I followed him through the hallway to the kitchen. "This place is beautiful, isn't it?" I commented, His lips curved into a smile, as he added "Just like you." I bumped his hip playfully as I walked past him. I began to boil water in the large kettle on the stove, as Harry gathered the rest. We both carried the pot of hot chocolate and cups to the living room. Someone had also pulled out bottles of Jack and Bailey's from the bar and set them out on the table.

I poured my self a glass and added a nice shot of Baileys to it, sipping it slowly. I slipped onto the couch next to Louis, kicking off my shoes. I glanced over at him, as he sat silently watching the fire. The light danced across his face and lit his eyes. I looked back over at the flames feeling completely at peace with his warm embrace, as he wrapped his arm around me. No one spoke as the fire crackled, the grandfather clock in the corner chimed ten.

"I can't wait to go skiing tomorrow." Niall broke the silence in the room. "There is a hill right behind the house, I've gone down it a few times, its not very big, but its a bitch to climb." Liam stood back on his feet and stretched, placing more logs into the fireplace.

"What are the sleeping arrangements?" I asked, taking another sip of the lukewarm chocolaty liquid. "Well there are four bedrooms upstairs," he was saying "one down here also. but i am not quite sure"

"Would you mind if I had invited a few friends here with us in the cabin?" I asked, . He shrugged his shoulders "Yea of course, doesn't seem like it would be a problem."

"Thanks" I whispered quietly, setting down my cup, while snuggling into Louis comfortable lap. His hands played with my hair, becoming more tired with every stroke. The boys continued to laugh and joke around while I drifted to sleep. The last thing I hear is the faint sound of someone knocking.

Harry's P O V

"I got the door," I nearly shouted, shooting up to my feet, grinning from ear to ear. I had to admit I was quite excited to meet Charlotte's friends. "Hello girls!" I swung open the door quickly, a cold gust of wind shot blew through the house. There stood 3 girls huddled together, but it was odd I thought I recognized one of them.

I took a closer look, She was really familiar, long wavy brown hair, those beautiful brown eyes her lips were curved into a mischievous smirk. "Hi Harry." My smile fell, as my heart stopped for a second, this wasn't good as all. I shook my head, speechless, it couldn't possibly be... but I knew it was for sure Eleanor.

Oooh, okay. Gotcha! I totally understand now. It makes perfect sense. Thanks for clearing that up.

@Mimi_Bell

First thing, I just loved seeing there was a question :) also to any of those readers out there, feel free to ask and comment away, I'll do my best to respond ASAP :)

Okay first not to spoil things but next chapter is called "A rose to remember" in Louis's POV it'll explain your questions and about what happened over those 2 weeks. and about Charlotte was able to 'go back to Louis after all he did.' And then some. I have a lot more planned for this story, and trust me it'll all make sense in time. ;)

Question. How was Charlotte able to move on so quickly and go back to Louis and even call him her boyfriend again? I mean she had just broken things off with Harry and immediately went back to Louis after all he did.
