Chapter 12
**Eleanor's POV
"What are you doing here?" Harry asked in a fustrated tone. "What do you mean? I was invited here wasn't I ,obviously not by you, but I am clearly welcome here." I slide past him, following elena and ashley.
Suddendly louis appears from the living room, staring directly into my eyes, clearly shocked as everyone else. I ignore the fact that the boys stare at me like im the crazy one. Well maybe one of them shouldnt have hooked up with my best friend, but im guessing they didnt know that. I give louis a quick kiss on the cheek and wink, his cheeks turn a light pink, he obviously is speechless. "Now where is charlotte?" I ask.
Louis walks up the staircase, shouting that he was going to bed. Everyone else was silent except for a voice in the living room, I knew it must be charlotte. When I saw her, she had clearly just woken up, her eyes still adjusting to the spotlights near the front door, she lit up when she saw me, running into a hug. "Gahhh eleanor, long time no see I missed you so much." I notice that she looks up and sees elena and ashley just standing there, "you too" she says, all three of us reunite in a group hug.
It had been a long time since i'd last seen charlotte. We were both so close until after freshmen year, when my dadwas transferred through his job to england. I didn't quite know ashley and elena quite much though, only that we knew eachother briefly in highschool. "There is so much to catch up on ladies." I say grinning from ear to ear. the others agree.
We all sit down in the living room. Liam is facetiming a girl I didn't reconize, niall is eating late night munchies, and harry is on his phone with zayn. "So what'd i'd miss over the last 3 years?" I ask, charlotte smiles "Well..."
** Harry's POV
"See zayn here is proof we were together first!" I scroll through the pictures on my phone that we took that night that we met. He nods agreeingly. "So you still like her?" He asks wiggling eyebrows. I smile and shake my head, looking up at charlotte. "Yea, I think she is the one, do you believe love at first sight?"
He gives me an unsure look "Nah man, I think your just lovestruck over a crush, I bet you'll get over it, plus look at ashley." zayn bites his lip and countines. "I mean damn, is she hot or what?" I glance at her, she sure is eye candy, long blonde hair, blue eyes, a nice rack. but I felt nothing for her or anyone else. Only charlotte.
I shake off the feeling and pretend to agree with zayn, because I know that i need to get over her. He fist bumps me and we laugh. "Is it wrong for me to have one night to talk a pretty lady?" he says. As zayn goes to make his move, I watch as charlotte sits alone, laughing to herself, I wonder what she is thinking about? She shakes her head and picks up her phone.
Sudenly my phone vibrates a text from char 'Heyy harry. eyes to yourself :) hahaha' I hadn't even noticed that she noticed, a warmness spreads throughout my face, im blushing. 'Who can blame me? your beautiful ;)' the words slip from my mind to the keyboard, before i can push delete, it sends. shit.
I watch nervously as she reads the the text, she blushes harder than I do and giggles covering her mouth. She picks up her phone and looks towards me our eyes meet for a tense moment, and then she quickly turns away. My phone buzzes and my heart races as I open up the message. it reads 'meet me upstairs in 10. i think its time we talk :)' before I could reply, she walks out of the room, leaving her phone.
Sneakily I reach over and unlock her phone, who knows maybe she left it for a reason, or maybe im desperate to know it she likes me? I know its wrong but I have to know its killing me. I realize that her home screen is a picture of us together. I can't help but smile.
**Eleanor's POV
20 minutes eariler
"i'll be back, okay?" I muttered to the girls, they obviously were busy talking to Niall, laughing at a stupid joke. I sighed and left walking upstairs. I realized that louis leaning on the rail swigging a bottle of booze, shirtless. I couldn't keep my eyes off him, I honestly don't even know what im doing up here, I just know that im jealous and angry, He never told me why we broke up and now he hooks up with someone else.
I can't stand it, but I still love him. "I tried everything.. " Louis says angryily "Why does she do this to me, when I care about her so much, I cant believe her." he slurs watching downstairs into the living room where harry and charlotte stare at eachother.
"Now I know why she doesn't like me back, because she wants to be with him." Though louis is drunk, he is clearly hurt. I stand closer to him, resting my head on his shoulder. "Its horrible" I say. He looks at me, searching my eyes lustfully. Louis steps closer.
Before the moment is lost I place my lips on his, he is suprised at first then he returns it back passionatly, I pull back for a moment and press his chest agianst the wall. "Im still angry, but I still love you" I Mumble then kiss him roughly. This is so wrong but why does it feel so right? I ask myself but soon my thoughts fog as he runs his fingers through my hair.
**Charlotte's POV
I leave my seat on the couch, making my way to the bathroom upstairs, I really have to pee. I hear an odd sound of someone talking upstairs, it sounds like eleanor, but it silenced as Im going up the spiral staircase.
I cant breathe as the air hitches in my throat, I watch in horror, Louis and Eleanor are making out. It feels like someone has stabbed a knife in my heart. Tears begin to stream from my face, I don't even know what to feel sad, angry, betrayed? I continue to cry in heavier sobs. It feels like someone has stabbed a knife in my heart.
I close my eyes. When I hear thundering footsteps up the stairs, people gather around me whispering nice things, but I can't hear them. I can only hear the sound of my heartbeat in my ears and the sound of louis's voice and a playback of moments. Why would he cheat on me with my best friend? Its like we never were together, even if it was publicity? I still had feelings for him, even though it was hard to admit.. And my friendship that I had with Eleanor was it just a lie to get Louis back? How could I be such an idiot? I should have known that Eleanor would do this, she has taken things from me before, but she's my friend...my best friend right?
I hear harry's voice asking 'what happened? are you okay?' But im not fine at all. I feel harry's arms wrap around my trembling body shaking with soft sobs. "what happened?" he whispers softly in my ear. but I cant speak, I can not move, What's wrong with me? "Louis and eleanor" I mutter, the words slip, I need to get out of here I cant breathe I need fresh air. I keep stepping back away from everyone farther and farther, but suddenly I miss a step, harry reaches for me, but my whole world fades black. then I hit the floor hard.
