Chapter 10
Louis P.O.V
"You are just trouble." I smile, keeping my eyes focused on her.
Charlotte and I exchange timid smiles while facing each other. She's sitting on my lap with her knees on either side of his waist. My hands are resting comfortably on her lower back, a smile drains from her face then her eyes have a distant look. Then I realize I may have just triggered a memory...
**2 months ago, Charlotte's P.O.V**
The lights dim to complete darkness in the theater. There's several murmurs and chuckles of anticipation and nerves. There's a bird's eye view of a neighborhood street projected onto the 22 by 52 foot blank canvas, with perfect painted houses and well kept lawns. It reminds me of the calm opening scene to a disturbing horror flick.
"Pass the popcorn." I whispered silently to the person beside me. The Movie Bucket full of buttery popcorn is passed between us two throughout the movie.
Bone chilling music plays, as the mood of the theater tenses. I reach my hand over to my mom, she looks at me with her bright blue beautiful eyes which are the color of the sky, her long dark brown drapes over her white blouse. A smile creeps on her lips as she kisses my hand and says.
"I am glad you invited me here, I really missed this you know. I know that things have been different lately and I want that to change that."
"How?" I ask, keeping my eyes focused on the screen, a crow sits perched on a dead tree, the clouds overhead dark .As it disappears the camera narrows down to a specific house, The girl is cornered with a blinking street light adding to the climax. She's fallen and is now crawling backwards. The evil man transforms into a beast, growing in size and coming closer... she screams, stumbling to her feet and running.
"Well dad and I were thinking-" she pauses for a moment, as gasps and screaming fill the theater. The girl from moments ago lays on the floor hurt, after being attacked, suddenly a boy from the beginning, pick her up and carries her home.
The final shots take us back to the begging with flashes of the girl sleeping peacefully. It was all a nightmare.The title is displayed as it appears in the middle of the screen in bright yellow letters and capital bold font.
"-You should go to a private school for awhile, it would be good for you." she finishes as she faces me, she looked at me deep with concern.
My mood bursts into flames, as I feel there is a fire beneath my feet I storm angrily out of the exit doors, letting out a frustrated scream. My mom calls after me, but I continue running towards the car.
"Please just listen to me, before you get angry with us." She cooed to me in a low tone, trying to calm me down. I Shook my head, tears streaming down my cheeks.
"We think this is the best for you, after all the trouble in school you've been into, it's a better environment, Now we think we found a really nice one, less than 100 miles away from here, we would visit you every month at least once."
I step into the car, sitting in the passenger seat, buckling my seat belt. "Please say something... anything?"
"I am not going, I refuse to, and you can't make me." I said my voice barely above a whisper.
"I hope you change your mind, and stop being so selfish" My mom's voice shakes with anger racking in her voice.
"No I won't, and if you won't drop this, you won't ever see me again...."
"You are just trouble." I smile, keeping my eyes focused on her.
