Annabella?
*Four years later*
I walked through the park, it was about mid-day and I was making my way home from work. I promised my friend I'd be home by 1 pm and I was running late but I took my time absorbing everything going on around me. I saw couples laying on the grass, stealing a few gentle kisses. I couldn't bear it, it still ached my heart to know that I left Harry looking for me without telling him if I was alright.
I kept walking down the footpath that ran though the whole park. I kept walking until I heard little children playing, I looked up and saw a bunch of kids playing on the playground and just hanging out with their friends. I smiled and remembered when I use to go to the park with my sister, we would muck around and hang upside down on the swings. I saw a little girl running to I guess was her mother, but as I watched her run in front of me I saw her trip over her shoe laces. Luckily I acted fast and grabbed her before she could hit the floor. She looked up at me and smiled, I looked at her and smiled but then I realised that she looked a lot like my sister. I didn't think much about it.
"Would you like me to tie your shoe laces?" She didn't answer, she just nodded, while I bent down she said something that left me speechless.
"Auntie Annabella, my mummy says that she has been looking for you. Where have you been?" I stared at her before continuing with tying her shoe laces.
"How do you know me?" She was about to answer me, when a lady appeared behind me and kind of startled me.
"Oh Mia, I've told you not to bother strangers. I'm so sorry. But thank you for... tying her shoe laces" her voice. How could-, I could distinguish that voice between a million voices.
She just awkwardly stood there while grabbing "Mia's" hand. I didn't know what to do. I stood up and saw exactly the face that I was expecting, it was my sister, Katrina.
When she saw me her eyes widened and her mouth opened slightly but nothing came out.
"Mama, I found auntie Annabella!" Mia shouted happily. While I stood there thinking if I should make a run for it or wait for her to react. Of course Katrina tried to make it look like she wasn't surprised, even though you could tell because of her facial expressions.
"Ahh, Mia why don't you go to daddy?" Mia run towards her dad while swinging her hands in the air. I watched her run along until Katrina interrupted my thoughts of how gracefully she walked.
"Where have you been? You had me worried sick! I've been looking for you, for over four years!"
"Well it was nice seeing you too! And I wrote on the piece of paper that I left Harry, to not look for me that I was fine!"
"Well I'm your sister and I am a mother now and I was scared because I would never forgive myself if something happened to you!"
I didn't answer her because I was too occupied with my thoughts. "That's what mum meant..."
"Mum meant what? What are you talking about?"
"When I was in hospital, I saw mum. It was like I was dead and I got a chance to see her again. She told me, to tell you that she was proud of you. She probably knew that you were pregnant!"
"Ohh... Well can I get a hug from my literally long lost sister?"
"Hahaha," I laughed sarcastically while giving her a big bear hug, "Ok you can let go now!"
Once she had let go of me, I was ready to tell her that I needed to get going I heard a deep, raspy voice laughing. Harry... He was coming behind me but I heard another laugh but this time it belonged to a girl.
"Hey Katrina, we are gonna get going. I got some work to do, but I'll see you this afternoo-" He went around me, to probably give my sister a hug, goodbye but instead his focus went on me and he froze. He looked like he had just seen a ghost.
"Annabella?"
I stood there not knowing what to do. I looked at the girl he was holding hands with, she was quite small, well compared to me at least. But something on her chest caught my eye. She was wearing a necklace... my infinity necklace...
