*Nialls POV*
Changing school mid-term was always a scary thing. I didn’t know anybody in the whole school and even though there were other pupils in the classroom where I had my first lesson, nobody seemed to acknowledge me. So I decided to just sit down in the corner.
Suddenly two girls came into the room. One was really cute and had long blonde curls and a big smile on her face. The other one was a very beautiful girl. She had piercing blue eyes, but she didn’t seem very happy.
The blonde girl dragged the other one towards me and said “Hey, I’m Cat, this is Anna” and pointed to the beautiful girl. I was really glad somebody talked to me because I felt weird just sitting here and watching all the others laughing.
“Hi, I’m Niall”, I said, smiling at them.
“Where are you from?” Cat asked, while Anna just stared at me. She seemed a bit annoyed.
“I’m from Ireland” I said, smiling again.
“So what are you doing here?” Cat asked. So I told her about my parents moving.
That was when our teacher came in and cut our conversation short. The girls and the rest of the class sat down at their seats.
I saw how Anna laid her head on the table and closed her eyes. She didn’t seem so interested in what Mr Brunner told us. She looked adorable sleeping.
When the class was over I tried to talk to Anna.
“Hey Anna!” She turned around looking at me. She didn’t smile or anything, she just stared at me. Cat showed up behind her.
“She has a bad day, she won’t talk to you” she said in her happy, bubbly tone.
I decided to try it again.
“So why do you have a bad day?” I asked Anna, smiling at her.
“Dunno. I just sometimes have these days” she said, shrugging.
“And there’s nothing that can cheer you up?” I asked.
“Nah, not really. But maybe today is different. Maybe a cute, Irish boy could cheer me up” she said and left Cat standing next to me, shocked.
“Well, that’s something new. Normally she just hisses at everyone who talks to her when she has a bad day. You should definitely try to talk to her more often” she said and grinned at me.
“Yeah.” I didn’t know what to say.
“I could show you around” Cat suggested and because I didn’t know where everything was, I just nodded.


After school me and Cat where friends. She was really nice and easy to talk to. She invited me to come over later today and because I had nothing to do I just said yes. She said, she was going to talked to Anna too and ask if she want to come. I blushed a little when she said that and Cat looked at me with a questioning look. I quickly turned around and walked to my moms’ car that was standing in front of the school.
“Who was that?” my mom asked as soon as I got in the car.
“My new friend Anna” I said.
“She’s cute” she said without looking at me.
“Mom!”
