Anna P.O.V

It was a wendnesday morning and I sat at the breakfast table and stared into the air, letting my mind wander. I really didn’t want to go to school today without any particular reason; I just really didn’t feel like it.
“Anna, stop dreaming and eat up, we have to leave in ten minutes”, my mum said, snapping me out of my daydream. I quickly put the rest of my sandwich in my mouth, already standing up and running up the stairs to my room. I changed into my favourite outfit (http://www.polyvore.com/annas_school_outfit/set?id=96105944)and put on a little bit of make-up. Not much though, I really wasn’t the type for thick layers of make-up and a lot of colours. I only used some eyeliner and mascara.
I searched for my bag and finally found it in the pile of clothes that used to be a chair. I grabbed my phone and my jacket and went down again, just to see (and hear) my mom having a little fight with my brother about wearing jackets in spring. After he finally gave in my mum drove us to our school. My brother and I both go to the same school, but he’s older than me so he’s not in my class. On the ride to the school I listened to music on my phone, because I didn’t feel like listening to my mum and my brother talking about random crap. Again, I let my thoughts go wild in my head.
I’m not really an unpopular kid in school, but saying I’m popular would be a lie. I had my group of friends and we stuck together. I am pretty shy and silent when I don’t know people, but when I am friends with them I’m loud and pretty nerve wrecking. I’m also very moody. It might be fun having me around when I have a good day, but when I’m feeling down I get annoyed very easily and then I start ranting about everyone and everything.
When we arrived at our school I still wasn’t looking forward to it and I was pretty down. I sometimes have these days where I am just not feeling good and I want to do nothing and lay around all day. This was one of these days.
I said goodbye to my mum and walked in the school building just to see my best friend smile at me. Catherine and I go way back. We met in kindergarten and since I gave her half of my bagel we were best friends. I really like Cat but there is one problem. She is always in a good mood and when I am feeling low she annoys me.
“Hey, Anna, I am here! Anna!” she screamed. I decided to ignore her and went to my locker. Sadly she followed me and when I had got all of the books I needed for first period she slam-shut my locker and laughed at my annoyed face.
“Having a bad day?” she asked with a grin.
“Is it that obvious?” I answered sarcastically. She laughed again and pulled me to our class room. We were running a bit late and that is why we were surprised seeing a guy in our class room we had never seen before. He was sitting in the corner at a table and watched the class being noisy and childish, as always.
Cat, being the good soul that she is, went to say hello to the new guy and pulled me with her.
“Hey, I’m Cat, this is Anna” she said and smiled at the stranger. He had blonde hair and blue eyes and he looked kinda cute. He smiled at us, happy that someone talked to him.
“Hi, I’m Niall”, he said. He clearly had a not british accent. I wasn’t the only one that heard it, because Cat asked where he was from.
“I’m from Ireland” he said, smiling again. He had a really cute smile.
“So what are doing here?” Cat asked. She was curious.
“My parents moved here. Obviously they didn’t want to leave me in Ireland.”
Our lovely conversation was cut off, when our teacher, Mr. Brunner entered the room, trying to calm everyone down. Cat and I sat down at our table and because I had a bad day, I decided to take a nap.
