Effie's destiny

It’s no longer love, just strong passion, respect, lust but most importantly it is friendship. He cared for her and wanted her happy no matter who she was with.

As they arrived at the club Louis squeezed her hand and they left the cab once Louis had paid for the fare.

As Louis hold her hand to make their way through the crowd she analysed his outfit and realised she might be overdressed compared to her best friend. After all he told her to wear something sexy and she’s wearing a short but classy dress hugging her curves and making both her boobs and ass look amazing. As they arrived to the table with the rest of the group she forgot her worries seeing Liam wearing classy trousers. The others, Harry, Niall and Zayn from the training and two other girls were dressed quite smartly. Louis was just being Louis he was wearing his perpetual jeans.

“Hi guys, sorry we are late but this lovely lady wasn’t ready” Louis said with a cheeky frin making Effie hit him in the stomach.

“Lies. I take less time than you to get ready” she replied before turning to the group spotting Harry. “Sorry about your ribs honey. I hope you are not suffering too much” She smiled widely that caused Liam to laugh out loud finding this hilarious.

“Shut up Effie. I still beat you” he growled unhappy making Liam laugh even more and Effie giggle along with the other people.

“We all know you played dirty but that’s alright I can do really dirty too” she said bending down to Harry’s face before poking his dimple with a smile.

Liam then took her hand offering her to sit next to him. He was still mesmerised by the young girl and even if she was with Louis he couldn’t wait to know more about her.

“Effie, this is Ella, she is our yoga and bikram instructor at the studio. The two over there are Niall and Zayn from earlier. Niall owns the smoothie bar opposite the studio and Zayn co-owns this crazy place. The little blond one next to him is his girlfriend Perrie, our favourite nurse. Guys this is Effie, my new recruit, Louis’ friend and Harry’s new favourite girl”. Liam said with an excited voice. He seemed really eager to introduce Effie to the rest of the group. “Let me make a toast: to new beginnings, new encounters and new friendships” he said lifting his glass after giving one to Effie.

They lightly toasted their classes and Effie took a sip of her drink realising it was vodka, her best and worst friend. Loving the burning sensation in her throat she took another sip of her drink and look at the people around her. They had welcomed her with open arms and the two girls looked really nice and friendly. She was hoping she could talk to them later to get to know them a little. In the meantime she was observing, enjoying her drink, being her typical self and not opening to people. She had been observing for maybe 5 or 10 minutes when she felt a hand on her thigh taking her by surprise and bringing her to reality.

“Sorry I didn’t mean to scare you. Are you alright? You are awfully quiet” said the person.

“Yes I’m fine thanks Ella” replied Effie with a smile.

“Good memory girl” the blond girl said with a smile. “So Harry’s new favourite girl uh? I heard about your little fight. I’m gutted I’ve missed it. Harry can be such a jerk and a bad loser when he wants.” She said with another smile. “but he is a nice guy when he wants. He just thinks girls are only good for yoga and bikram. He maybe should stop hanging out with me” she laughed making Effie giggle with her. “You don’t say much girl, you sure you alright?”

“I am. I just feel a bit out of place. You guys all know each other, I don’t want to be the new overwhelming girl” honestly replied Effie.

“You’re kidding right? Perrie and I are glad we girl get a girl with us. Louis has been talking a lot about you. These 5 are a handful when they get started. We are really happy to have a new ally to fight them and you are a good fighter according to Liam” she shouted on top of the music which was now getting louder.

“Thank you so much Ella” could only reply the brunette before Harry came to take Ella away to the dancefloor sliding his head on her lower back.

Still sipping her drink but finishing it the young girl let her eyes wander around the place. She could see Niall with a blond girl, Zayn and Perrie were chatting and giggling. Louis was getting close to a brunette with a white dress and Liam was nowhere to be seen.

“Do you want a refill?” she heard someone say in her ear making her jump. “Sorry I didn’t mean to startle you”.

“That’s okay Liam and yes, please, I would love a refull” she said with a smile. She felt intimidated now she was no longer on the boxing ring. Liam had this odd vibe around him that scares and attracts at the same time. You could tell he was more serious than the others and somehow dangerous but at the same time he has this mischievous look in his eyes that both attracts and fascinates.

“I thought Louis and you were together” he suddenly said giving her another drink and pointing at Louis who was now kissing the girl with the white dress. Effie started laughing before realising her reaction might sound really weird.

“Oh no no. Louis and I have a very special agreement. We are friends more than anything else so he can hook up with whoever he wants” explained Effie hoping that Liam would understand so when he nodded with a wink she knew he had.

“Fancy dancing?” Liam said out of the blue and offering his hand to the brunette who gladly took it. He led her to the dancefloor carelessly putting his hand on her hip while leading the dance. Effie was letting the music guide her body, moving sometimes slowly and sometimes faster. Her eyes were locked in Liam’s.

“I wouldn’t have seen you as a dancer. And a good one too” she said in his ear getting her body closer to his now feeling both his hands on her hips but she didn’t try to move away.

“You intrigue me Effie” simple said Liam looking at her.

“Do I? Why?”

“You are a mystery for me. Everything you do or say is full of surprise. I can’t help but want to know more” he said his eyes locked on the brunette.

“You’re wrong. I’m just a normal girl. Maybe confusing at times but after all I’m a girl so it seems normal.”

“You’re not like the other girls. You are fascinating and I want to know more” he finally said making her blush slightly before taking her hand to go back to the table where the others were now gathered and partnered up. Effie shot a glance at Ella who was on Harry’s laps, his hand quite high up on her bare thigh. She just smiled and shrugged making a mental note to remind the blond girl about that night.

“Let’s go somewhere calm to talk” sighed Liam in her ear. Effie nodded but she also didn’t want him to think that she was easy.

“I’m not having sex with you Liam” she cleared rather harshly.

“Good. That means we can actually tak” the young man replied with a smile making Effie relax instantly. She then went to Louis letting him know that she was going home with Liam reassuring him about the reason why.

“I hope you have a condom left because you are definitely getting laid tonight” joked Effie before kissing him on the corner of his mouth.

“Always baby. Look after yourself, Liam is the good one but still be carefu;”.

“I’m not gonna sleep with him. He wants to know me, he says I’m a “mystery and fascinating”. I’m wondering what you said about me. Maybe that I’m the best sex you’ve ever had”. She laughed and kissed him again on the cheek this time.

“You definitely are but I like to keep it to myself. See you tomorrow baby”.

Liam who was now waiting for Effie took her hand as she was waving goodbye to the others with a smile.

“My flat?” asked the young girl.

“I thought you were not sleeping with me?” teased Liam.

“I’m not. I just need comfy clothes and you said you wanted to know me. I live less than 10 minutes away from here” replied Effie waving at a cab, telling him her address once they got in.

“As I said fascinating” mumbled Liam when sitting next to her looking at London’s streets as the car drove to Effie’s.
