"Am I put of time?" I asked quietly, quoting the song I had tried to sing to her. She took a breath then shook her head, not breaking eye contact with me. I placed my hands on her hips and leaned forward, then hesitated when my lips were just about touching her, wondering if she really meant it. My doubts all disappeared when she closed the distance between us, pressing her lips to mine.
Our lips moved in sync with each other, my hands placed firmly on her hips and hers on my neck. After about a minute we broke apart, but didnt pull away from each other.
"Can I take you on a date?" I asked, suddenly nervous that she maybe was just caught up in the moment or something. But she smiled.
"I'd love that," I smiled. Then my face dropped, remembering Louis.
"Harry, is everything ok," she looked worried and pulled away.
"No no no everything's fine!" I tried to assure her. "It's just-" I sighed. "Louis figured out how I feel about you before I even did. When I finally admitted it to him he said that I shouldn't try anything with you because...well.... I don't exactly have a perfect track record with relationships. He was really serious about it saying he doesn't think I'll be good for you. And this was before everything happened with..um" I didnt really want to say his name.
"With ky." she finished. I nodded.
"Yeah, with ky. and now he is obviously going to be even more against me asking you out 'n' stuff and.."
"Harry if you don't want to go out just-"
"No!" I cut her off. "No I definitely want to take you out I just think it might be best if we don't tell anyone. If you want you can tell Luke and-" her laughing caused me to stop talking. I shot her a confused look.
"Harry even if you wanted to tell the guys I still wouldn't tell Luke or them. Do you have any idea how they would react." I nodded my head in understanding.
"So, your ok with not telling them?" I asked nervously.
"Yes Harry." She smiled. "We should go inside before the other guys come out wondering where we are." She said starting to walk away.
"Wait, one last thing." I pulled her back and kissed her again. It only lasted a few seconds but it was enough to make me feel like I was floating on clouds. She blushed and grabbed my hand, leading me to the door. She let go once we got inside.
"Bella thank god where have you been." The boys all let out a sigh of relief.
"Sorry, It was hard to get out in the first place amoungst all your squeeling fans and once I did I got completely lost." She shrugged.
"Well, your back now. It's getting late, I say we just to home and crash." We all nodded in agreement and headed back outside towards the car. I knew the guys were all talking on the way back but I didn't take in a word they said. I spreant the entire car ride thinking about or looking at Bella. She was smiling and laughing along with the guys, oblivious to how beautiful she looked and how much strength it was taking me to not kiss her right there. We got back to the apartment and went into our rooms.
The whole car ride I was talking with the boys but my mind was on Harry, the only one not contributing to the conversation. When we got home we all went to our rooms and my phone buzzed.
From Harry: how does dinner tomorrow sound? The boys are all going out again
I smiled as I replied.
To Harry: Sounds great :)
My phone buzzed almost instantly.
From Harry: great :) sleep well xo
To Harry: you to xo
I sighed and got into bed. Then i realised something, Eliza was right, living with the boys was not going to be as simple as I thought it would be. But maybe, hopefully, it would be worth it.
The next day went by as a blur. I speant most of it in my room planning tonight. I needed a perfect first date. The only times I left my room Bella was in hers, so I didn't see her the whole day. At about 5 I got a text from her.
From Bella: What should I wear?
I sent a quick text back.
To Bella: Whatever's comfortable :) also, meet me on the roof tonight at 7:30.
I knew she would roll her eyes at the whole 'whatevers comfortable' thing, and be confused at why she wanted me to meet her on the roof. The boys all left the apartment at 6, that's when I headed up to the roof to get ready. I couldn't decide on what to do or where to go. I wanted it to be nice but didnt want to get noticed. So I set up a sort of picnic on the roof. I also got the building managers help and set up a projector screen so we could watch a movie. I put about 10 blankets down so the ground wouldn't be hard. Then I went back down to the apartment and got ready, getting into a simple jeans and white top.
7:40. It's 7:40 and she's still not here. Was I getting stood up? By Bella? Of all the dates I've gone on I've never been stood up, and now the one girl I really cared about was standing me up. I decided to just go back down to the apartment, then my phone buzzed.
From Bella: omg Harry I'm so sorry! Niall left food everywhere and I had to clean up after him, I'll be up in a few minutes xo
I let out a breath I didn't realise I was holding. She wasn't standing me up. Niall was just a pig. As promised, a few minutes later she walked though the roof door. She was Wearing skinny jeans with a white knit wear top over a black t-Shirt. It was simple and comfortable like I said said, but she looked stunning. Her eyes widened as she looked around.
"Harry......w-wow!" She breathed. I smiled.
"You look beautiful," I said as she walked towards me. She blushed and looked down.
"Thanks," we sat down on the blankets. "This is really amazing Harry," she said, looking around again.
"It's nothing compared to you," I whispered in her ear, causing her to once again blush. I know it was a cheesy line, but I meant it. She looked beautiful. We ate dinner and talked. The great thing is It wasn't awkward or anything like most first dates are, and when there were silences, they were comfortable. After dinner we watched the movie. We laid down, my arms around her, and her head resting on my shoulder to watch the movie. After the movie we stayed in that position, comfortable in each others arms. I looked up at the sky, then smiled, remembering what had inspired his date. The stars. When I first heard Bella voice singing Counting Stars, although she didnt know yet. Bella was watching the stars too.
"They're beautiful," she sighed, smiling.
"Yeah, absolutely gorgeous," but I was talking about her, not the stars. She turned her face to me and blushed, biting her lip. Damn she looked hot doing that.
"Thank you Harry, for all of this, I really loved it," she had propped herself up on her elbow.
"I had a really amazing time Bella," she blushed again looking down. I took the chance to catch her off guard and pressed my lips onto hers. She responded instantly, kissing me back. I glided my toung along her bottom lip, but she denied entrance. I could feel her smirking a little through the kiss. So she liked to tease. Interesting. I licked her bottom lip again, seeking entrance which she once again denied. I rolled on top of her with my arms on either side of her to keep my body weight off her. She gasped and I took the chance and swiftly moved my toung into her mouth, she broke the kiss smirking.
"Touché mr styles." She winked before pushing me off her and flipping us so she was now straddling me. She smiled before colliding her lips with mine again, this time her mouth open. We made out for a while, then we broke apart and layed there with each other.
"I wonder how many stars there are." She suddenly asked. "People say there are an infiate number, but the universe has to stop somewhere, right? It can't just keep going on forever." She furrowed her eyebrows, suddenly looking like a five year old trying to figure out a math equation.
"How about we just focus on the ones we can see," I pointed up to the sky. "Because of you try to figure out how many stars there are, well, we'll be here forever." I kissed her again. "Although that might not be such a bad thing." We both tryed to count the stars, completely failing at it, but it was cute when she tryed to argue that we hadn't counted this one or that we'd counted that one already. I looked at her, knowing it wanted her to be my girlfriend. But it was too soon. We were still on our first date. But how long would I have to wait?
It was perfect. He was perfect. The date went better than I could have ever imagined. I knew I wanted to be his girlfriend, but it would probably be too soon for him to ask, I mean we only had been on one date. And did he want to be my boyfriend? Had this date made him like me more or made him realise he just wants to be friends, if that. When it got to midnight we decided to go back to the apartment. Yup. Midnight. Our date lasted longer than we had expected, but it was perfect. We watched the stars for hours, occasionally stopping to make out. And my god he was a good kisser! It was now 3 and I still couldn't get to sleep. Suddenly, making me jump about a meter, my phone buzzed. Who else was awake right now?
From Harry: You still awake?
