Alex (Lex) POV;
I heard a something hit my window, knowing it was Lou. I rolled my eyes. Ever since I lost my phone at the amusement park he has been talking to me through notebooks, just like when we were younger.
I stood up and walked over to my window. I yanked the curtain back to see Louis holding a notebook with a smirk playing on lips. His notebook said 'Come over, we need to do our Project.' I laughed. I looked around for a notebook until I saw a red notebook. I grabbed a blue sharpie. I wrote 'What's wrong with you?' I showed it in his direction and he read it. He smiled and wrote something. He then showed me.
'bring drinks and some crisps.'
'why?'
'cause we are going to do our project.'
'what does it have to do with it?'
'fine i am kinda hungry to and my mom hasnt made dinner.' I laughed.
'I'll come over, and we better do our project.'
'mmkay.'
I rolled my eyes as a chuckle escaped my lips. I set the notebook down on my bed and closed my curtain. I walked over to my mini fridge and grabbed out two bottles of water, two cans of pop, and a small tub of dibs. I put them into my gray backpack. I went over to my closet and grabbed a bag of crisps I had hiding in the shelf on the top. I shoved it into my bag. I grabbed my white plaid jacket. I slipped on some black converse and left. I walked down my hallway and downstairs. It was about five o'clock. I walked down the carpet stairs and past the kitchen.
"Alex honey, where are you going?" I heard my mother ask me.
"Me and Lou have a project in science." I said. She nodded.
"Just make sure to be home before 8." she said as she put something into the oven, i'm guessing her famous lasagna. I nodded and walked towards the door. I opened it and walked out. I walked down the drive and up Louis. I knocked on the door and just stood there. Jay answered the door. I smiled.
"Hi Jay." I said and hugged her.
"Hello Lex." she released me. That was my nickname.
"Where's Lou?" I asked
"In his room." she said and I thanked her. I walked up the wooden stairs and down the hall. I knocked on his wooden door and he immediately opened up.
"Why didn't you just come in?" he asked me like I was a idiot. I rolled my eyes.
"Oh let me think, Last time I just came in you were half naked singing barney." he chuckled.
"Wearing football shorts isn't considered naked.
'I said half-naked."
"Whatever."
"Are you letting me in? cause I brought some dibs." I said. He smiled and let me in. He closed his door and I ran over to his bed and jumped on to it and took off my bag, he instantly grabbed it and opened it. He grabbed the dibs out and opened it. He popped one into his mouth and sat down besides me.
"Okay, lets start our project." He said after he swallowed it. I grabbed two and popped them into my mouth.
"Wait, we are really doing it?"
"You suggested it!" I yelled. He laughed.
"I actually wanted you to come over."
"you could've just said so." he laughed.
"So what do ya want to do?"
"um... Do you still have quelf?" I asked with a smirk.
"I think so." he said as he got up and went over to his closet and opened it. He looked up and saw the game box, he smiled and grabbed it.
"Here we go." he said as he set it on the bed. I pulled the lid off slowly. We haven’t played this since we were 14! I pulled it off and saw a envelope inside.
“Huh?” I asked as I pulled it out. I looked at louis and saw he was just as confused. I opened it up and unfolded the lined paper. I then read it.

‘I Alex Xenia Williams promise that If I do not have a date to my senior prom, That Louis may take me, even if I am not willing to go, and If I do not go, then he has the right to dye my hair hot pink.’

I gasped. Louis then snached it out of my hands, I saw his eyes scan over the paper then his mouth form into a smirk.
“What is today?” he asked.
“The tenth of november.” I replied staring at him, a grin spread across his face.
“Guess what saturday is.” he said a smile appearing on his face. My face drained of color.
“Prom.” he said with a smirk. His words echoed through my brain as I bit my tounge.
“umm.. I’m sorry I can’t make it, i have to go to the...umm,”
“You’re going to the prom.”
“and if I don’t?” I asked.
“Then I can dye your hair pink, This note states it.”
“Fuck.” I mumbled under my breath.
“okayy-” I sighed softly.
"I hate Quelf."
He stood up and grabbed my hand.
“Where are we going?” I asked as he dragged me down the stairs towards the kitchen.
“To announce it!”
“What!!” I screeched. He walked into his kitchen.
“Mum! Lottie!” he yelled to get their attention. They turned towards us.
“Were going to prom!” he yelled. I had a kill-me look. The smiled and shrieked. Running over to us.
“Yay! My baby’s so grown up!” Jay said as she hugged louis.
“I’m totally going to do your hair and makeup!” she yelled. I whimpered covering my mouth.
“m-m-m-makeupp?” I asked shuttering.
“Yea!” I bit my tongue, suppressing my screams. Lottie rambled on about how marvalous I was going to look and how everyone is going to love her work. I blocked her out listening to Louis and Jay’s conversation.
“I’m so proud of you Lou! Finally got a date to prom, good choice to.” I heard jay say.
“Yea.” he said.
“I knew you guys would get together! I knew it!” she said as I gulped. She thought we be a couple? uhh no. I don’t date guys cause I hate relationships.
“Mom, were not a couple, were just going as friends.” I heard him say. phew.
“yeah right Lou.” I heard jay say.
“- and your going to be like ‘Oh thank you Lottie! Everyone loves your work! you should be my personal stylist!” she finished squealing.
‘yeah-yeah.” I said and smiled. she quickly hugged me and ran over to Louis. Jay came over to me.
“Your going to look amazing!” she said as she hugged me.
“yeah-yeah.” I said and fake smiled. She smiled and hugged me again. Hug much? I released and Louis walked over to me.
“Lets go tell your mum.” he said slightly. I gulped and went pale.
“M-m-my Mum?”
“yea! lets go!” He yelled and pulled me towards the door. He dragged me across his lawn and onto mine. He opened the door and pulled me in. We walked into the kitchen.
“Hey Alex, Back already, andyway please go get me a- Oh, Hi Louis!” she said as she looked at us. I rolled my eyes.
“Why are you here?” she asked as she looked at him. He elbowed my side.
“We have a announcement.” I said flatly.she set down the spoon she was stirring with. ugh, spoon.
“Um, me and um.. Louis are- are- are..”
“Are going to prom!” He finished my sentence. Her smile brightened.
“My Little princess is all grown up!!” she yelled and ran over to us, pulling me into a bone crushing hug.
“Mom. Need. To. Breath.” I said in between breaths.
“oops, sorry I’m just so happy! I can’t believe your going to your first prom! You will look fantastic!” she said with a smile. She then hugged Louis. They then started talking. I walked over to the stove to see my mom was making her lasagna and some of her stuffed shells and marinara. I frowned when I saw the spoon. I’m not a fan of spoons, I grabbed the spoon and threw it in the sink. I grabbed out a spatula and stirred the marinara sauce. Watching my Mom and Lou talking.
“We should celebrate! Lou why don’t you go get you Mom and sisters, You guys can come eat dinner. I’m glad I made extra.” she said before smiling.
“Okay, Be right back!” he said cheerfully and walked towards the door. My mom turned towards me and ran over to me.
“I can’t believe it! Your finally going to prom!” she said as she did a weird dance over to me.
“Yea.”
“If you want I’ll pay for the dress!” she said and started fantasising about my prom. My mom was a heartless romantic. She loves romance and ‘young love.’ blech. We finished up the food and waited for lou and his family.
Ten minutes after seven they arrived, It was Jay, Louis, and Lottie.
“Where’s mark and the twins?” my mom asked Jay.
“Mark is on a business trip and the twins are at a slumber party.” She replied. This was going to be a long night...
