The rest of the day went pretty normal. I got barely any homework and The worst part was being paired with Marcel. We had to get started on the project, so he was coming over after school. I got on the bus early, like usual, in hopes Courtney wouldn't see me. But that plan still failed. She got on and sat down next to me. Just like always.
"Can I help you?" I asked annoyed.
"Yea, actually, you can. I need some dirt on Marcel. I need information, ya know?"
"And how would I help you with that?"
"You're partnered with him. Find out who he likes and I will stop bullying you for the rest of your life."
"Deal."
I got off the bus and walked down the street to my house. I walked in and no one was home. My mom doesn't get home until 11 each night. My dad however left when I was born. I'm an only child so I'm mostly home alone anyways. Marcel was coming at 4 and it was 3:30 now so I decided to tidy up my room. I made my bed and picked up the few articles of clothing that were on my floor from yesterday.
Just as I finished I heard the doorbell ring. I pretty much jumped down the stairs and swung the door open. Just as I expected it was Marcel.
I let him come in and Led him up to my room.
"W-wow. Y-you're jumpy o-outside of s-school." He studdered.
"Yea, I guess I am."
We sat down on my bed and started our project. We started to get off topic and I remembered my conversation on the bus.
"So, who do you have a crush on?" I tried to casually ask.
"W-why do you a-ask?"
"Just curious."
"Oh.. Well, I don't really s-share that with a-anyone.."
"Oh. Ok."
We got back to work on the project. He obviously wasn't going to open up just yet. I have to get closer and find out.
