The next couple of weeks flew by and I never really found out who he liked. I haven't been pounded either. School was ending and it was my senior year. We got a A on the project and it did actually help my grade. I was moving in a week and I would never have to see Courtney again.
I did my usual routine and was back in math. It was the last day of school and my friend Jasmin was having a party and the whole school was invited.
The rest of the day went as a normal last day of school goes. People saying their goosbyes and what not. All I really wanted is for the week to end so I could just leave and start all over. The bus ride was pretty good. Courtney didn't even notice me. Like, she didn't care anymore. I walked into my house and got changed into some white booty shorts and a tanktop with my bikini under. She had a pool and I knew people would swim so I wanted to be part of that.
When I arrived I was one of the first people there because I promised her that I would help set up. Her parents had already left for the summer and left her and her brother alone. They do this every summer though, so it wasn't much of a surprise. She has the best summer parties.
People started arriving not that much later and people immediately started jumping in the pool. Basicly everyone from school was there, even Marcel. I was surprised because he usually doesn't come to these things. He was sitting alone, still in his clothes from school. I decided to be nice and go talk to him.
"Hey Marcel."
"Aren't you supposed to n-not talk to m-me? I am a n-nerd"
"There's no rule to not talk to nerds.."
"Well w-why are you?
"You looked lonely.."
"Oh. Well I'm f-fine on m-my own."
"Ok.."
Then I just walked away. If he was going to act like an ass then I'm just leaving him. I couldn't wait to just get out of this town.
