Kat didn't think leaving behind her parents would be so hard but it was. She told them she was going abroad to do some work that would hopefully have a big payday. As she hugged her mom and dad,she knew that she was doing the right thing. Her dad was only going to get sicker.
Getting through security and boarding the plane was the easy part. Kat had never flown before and was scared to death. She found her seat and stowed her bag above her .The flight attendant came over the loud speaker ,telling everyone to prepare for take off. Flight 708 to London Heathrow was ready for take-off.
Kat bit her lip and tried not to scream as the plane lifted off the ground. She gripped the seat so hard,her knuckles were turning white. This was going to be the longest six hours of her life.
"Hurry up guys, her plane lands in an hour. Sam says we have to be there personally to pick her up.",Liam said, in fully Daddy mode.
"Hold up,Li, my hair just doesn't look right."
"Zayn, honestly, your hair has never looked right."
"Says the guy who shaved his like Britney Spears.",Zayn jabbed at Liam.
"Oh,both of you get over yourselves. It's not like we're picking up a date.",Niall spit
"What would you know about picking up a date, you never had one.",Harry said,as he paced by the door.
"Have you all lost your mind. This is all being recorded for television.",Louis said walking in the room slapping them in in the heads.
"We know,we're practicing arguing,ya know, to make the show more exciting." Niall said with a grin.
Louis rolled his eyes and snapped his fingers,"You,peasants are such losers. Let's go get this girl,yes?"
The walked out to the van with two security guards. Some fans still hung around but not like it used to be. They pushed their way into the van and took off to pick up Kat.
"You know, this will be the first time in our lives that we will have as the Americans say,"baby mama drama"." Harry said looking out the window.
"At least that you know of Haz.",Liam said giving him a punch in the arm.
When the plane landed, Kat finally exhaled. She stood quickly and grabbed her bag, ready to rush from the screaming metal death trap. She let a few elderly passengers pass by her when she saw the pregnant lady waddling up the isle. Kat gave her a small smile and waited for her to pass. If this all worked out, that would be Kat soon.She followed the last few passengers onto the tarmac and into the bustling airport. She forgot to ask Liam where to meetup. What if she was lost?
She walked over to the baggage claim to get her other bag and as she bent over arms wrapped around her waist. She jumped and screamed,elbowing her attacker in the nose.She turned and was about to punch the bastard when a hand enfolded hers. She looked to see who these assholes were and looked right into the brown eyes of Zayn Malik.
"You were right,Liam. We will get along famously with this one."
Kat looked around her to see One Direction smiling at her and Harry Styles holding his bleeding nose. He quickly composed himself and looked at her brushing his hair from his face.
"Hi,I'm Harry and you will pay for that."
Well, shit, this was already off on the wrong foot.
"No, way Haz, you totally deserved that. You know better than to sneak up on ladies. Come along Kat, we have a press conference.", Louis said sticking his tongue out at Harry.
"Wait, don't I need to go fix my face and hair?"
"NO!", they shouted at her.
"We mean, you're fine the way you are.",Liam said barely above a whisper.
"So much for cold and clinical.", Zayn said swinging her bag over his shoulder,leading the group out to the van.
Niall wrapped his arm around Kat's waist, flinching to make sure she didn't hit him too,"Welcome to the UK by the way."
Kat rubbed her head,feeling a major migraine coming on. The reporters asked one stupid question after another that either made no sense or had to relevance to the situation in the first place. Honestly, who cares about what hair products they use?When the interview was over, it was time to see the doctor.
The guys led her into a solid steel building and into a sterile looking office,and sat her in a chair. Louis walked up to the window and knocked on the glass way too loudly. The nurse behind the glass looked up,startled at first,then pissed.
"Can I help you?",she said through her teeth with a fake smile plastered across her face.
"We're here with Katrina for Dr. Smyth."
"Oh, go right in,he's waiting for you.",she pointed to a door that read"Examination Room 69.
The guys looked at each other and laughed.
Kat sat on the cold exam table with only the sterile paper under her bare butt. She was having her doubts about this now that she realized the doctor was going to be all up in her business. She had been putting off her pap smear because she was afraid of letting a doctor look down there.
In walked the sexiest man she had ever seen. He gave her a sweet smile and sat down on a stool between her legs. Guess it was time for the exam to begin.
The 5 guys sat in the waiting area impatient. Why was it taking so long. She had been back there almost an hour,already.Louis was about to ask if there was any problem when the door opened and the doctor walked out.
"Listen, chaps, she's at the peak of her fertility cycle.If we're going to do this , it has to be done within the next 3 hours or you'll have to wait another month to try again."
"What do we do?"
"I was hoping you would ask.",the doctor said,handing them all cups," Fill these up,please."
"I prefer to make my deposit personally." Harry told him.
"Just fill up the cup for now. Any personal deposits are between you and the lady. I wish you luck with that, by the way. I had to pry her knees open for the exam."
"Aww, she's shy.", Naill grinned.
"Anyway, you lot, let's get this done."
Four hours later,the guys could finally take Kat home. They had to bring her back in a week to see if the treatment worked. For now, all they could do was wait.
"Anything you want to see or do,Kat?",Liam asked.
"I don't know about you guys, but I'm starving. Getting filled with One Direction juice makes a girl hungry."
All the boys started to laugh and Niall pulled her into a hug,"A woman after my own heart."
"Which part is after your heart, being hungry or getting filled with ..."
"Ladies do not talk like that,Kat."Liam scolded.
Let's get back to the house and I'll cook us all something,how does that sound?,Harry said.
"Hmmm,I was hoping I could finally try that Nandos I hear so much about."
"I think we just met Niall's twin.",Zayn said.
Niall made a whip smacking sound and hit Liam in the back,"Onward, Papa Payne, to Nandos."
Sam sat back, watching the screen . This was working out perfectly. She knew putting those cameras in the van and having a camera man follow them was such a great idea. Soon, they would be a global phenomenon.
