Kat was in bed sleeping soundly when the phone by her bed began to ring. She looked at the clock with one open eye. 4 A.M. Whoever was calling better have a damn good excuse. Then she thought about her dad and answer it quickly expecting the worst.
"Mom?",she answered frantically.
"No, but I could be your daddy."
"Who the fuck is this? Whatever it is you're selling,I'm not buying."
"Oh,she's a fiesty one. I like that.",she heard another voice on the line.
"Look,dudes,it's 4 in the morning . I don't feel like playing frat boy phone games."
"Wait, we're not.."
The phone was shuffled around and she swore those voices sounded familiar.
"Kat Hanner?"
"Yeah, who the hell is this?"
"I'm Liam Payne. You won the contest."
Kat dropped the phone and screamed. She wasn't having a fan girl attack. She won. She could help her parents.
"Are you still there? Lads,I think she fainted."
Kat recomposed herself and put the phone back to her ear,"I'm still here. Sorry about that. "
"Oh, well, ok, Sorry for calling so late for you. Would you like us to call back later?"
"No,I'm wide awake now."
"Good,listen. Airline tickets are being shipped to you and should arrive around 9 A.M. your time. You'll need to pack a bag and be ready. Your flight leaves at 11 A.M. to fly you over here. Once you arrive, we will settle you in and the following day you will do a press conference with us then straight to a doctor for a physical. Bring your birth certificate and an ID. Got all that. I know it's happening fast but we're on a tight deadline."
"Got it Daddy Direction!",Kat said,smiling through the phone.
"No one has called me that in years."
"Well, if you always act this way, expect to hear it lots."
"Well, that's fine. Have a safe flight and arrive here in one piece. We are all excited to meet you. Hang on, someone wants to say hello."
Kat nodded into the phone and mentally kicked herself. He couldn't see her.
"So are you happy we chose you ,baby Pikachu?" , it was Harry Styles.
"I am, Styles."
"Good, we'll have so much fun."
The call ended and Kat stared at the phone. Could this be real?
