Chapter Two
Alexa's P.O.V
I wake up to Marie lightly shaking me. We are in a car, and I have a piercing headache.
"Where am I?" I ask her.
"At your surprise." She's talking to me like I'm from another planet or something.
"Wait, what happened to me? Why does my head hurt?" I wanted answers.
"Well, Lisa hit you a little too hard with a shovel and you needed stitches. But we are here at the surprise and everything will be okay." She assures me.
"Okay." She grabs my arm and tells me to close my eyes. She then leads me forward out of the car.
"Open 'em." She instructs. When I do, I'm blown away. We're at my favorite childhood park. I notice the weeping willow tree over a bench that I would come and sit at when I was sad or scared when I was a younger girl. I ran and noticed my favorite color blue balloons tied to the bench. I sit down and look out at the beautiful pond in front of me, with lily pads, weeds, and flowers all grown together perfectly it seemed as if they were meant to be there. I look over to where Marie was standing and she wasn't there anymore. All of a sudden I hear "SURPRISE!!!" My guy friends Zayn, Louis, Liam, Niall, and Harry pop out and so do my sister and gal friends Sara, Lisa, and Marie.
"Oh my gosh! You guys scared the crap outta me!" I exclaim.
"Come on that's not it." Harry says. He gently pushes me to some picnic tables. They all have Mexican food (MY FAVORITE) on them except one which is to be sat at. Niall goes and sets the table while we all get our plates and go around and pick foods like a buffet almost.
"Thank you so much for all of this Marie!" I run up and give her a hug.
"I would love to take all the credit for this but it was all Harry's idea. I just put it all together and worked on the final touches." I run to Harry and hug him tightly.
"Thank you so much Harry! I love you right now!" I thank.
"Oh, well, you're welcome. No problem." Harry smiled his dimple filled smile.
"I ordered it all." Louis said.
"and I placed it all." Liam said.
"Cake time!" Zayn announced.
We all head over to a table with an angel cake with strawberries and whipped cream on top. My favorite. On the very top was a piano cake topper with a candle on top of that that said 18.
"1,2,3! Happy..." They sang the birthday song to me and it sounded alright since they were all pretty good singers especially the boys. "Make a wish!" Marie commanded when they finished singing. I know exactly what to wish for.
I wish that I will get a boyfriend before summer
I blew the candle out and everyone cheered.
"This is the best birthday ever! Thank you so much everyone!" I say.
"The party's not over yet!" Zayn says and he hits a button on some controller and I recognize my favorite song come on.
I'm waking up, to ash and dust, I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust. Breathing in the chemicals,
"RADIOACTIVE BY IMAGINE DRAGONS!?!?! You guys are the best!" I scream.
At 6:00pm we decided to end the party since my parents would be home in a half hour, so they would never know I ditched school, but I had to tell them about my head since stitches are kinda noticeable. I hugged everyone and Marie said she would take me home. When we got in the car she hadn't started it up yet, and said
"I HAVE TO TELL YOU SOMETHING BUT YOU HAVE TO SWEAR NEVER TO TELL ANYONE!!!!"
"Okay, I swear." I promised. She started up the car and we started to drive.
"So earlier today I decided to tell Niall about the party and asked him to help out. He agreed and we had been sitting next to each other in the bus. It was of course silent since he is shy ya know but he told me, 'I have a crush on this one girl and I don't know what to say to her most of the time. Can you tell me what to say?' And I'm like who is this lucky girl? And-"
"Wait, he's never talked to any of us girls and that's what he asks?! and you said 'and who is this lucky girl'?! Do you like him? That's only what people say if they like someone who's talking about someone else they like!!!!!!" I interrupt her.
"LET ME FINISH! So then he says 'You, Marie.' And I was all like OMG I like you too!" She admits "and so we are going on a date this Friday night!"
"You do like him! Ha! That's great for you two!" I actually was a little jealous since she had a date and I didn't but I mean its not like I even like anyone right now anyways. Or do I?
