Chapter Three
After Marie brought me home, I went straight to my bedroom with 5 minutes left until my parents got home. I collapse on my bed and realize my head hurts worse than before. I get back up and go into the bathroom that's connected between Alissa and my room. She still hasn't moved out, but she's working on going to college for creative writing. I grab a rag and run It under cold water. I fold it up and plop back down on my bed and place it on my head. I go into deep thought about who I like. I kept thinking of different possibilities and I kept coming back to Harry for some reason. Did I like him? I couldn't, he was a really close friend of mine and I didn't want to ruin that. Plus I doubt he likes me. He threw that party for me and all but that's just what friends do. I pick up my cell phone and start to text Marie.

marieka!; ya Y wouldn't I b?
alexluvmusic; I have 2 tell u something you'll swear never 2 tell anyone.
marieka!; ok wat is it?
alexluvmusic; I think I like Harry...
marieka!; OMG! Wat!?

alexluvmusic, no way! It would ruin our friendship!

I put my phone away and yawned. I was pretty tired.
Harry's P.O.V
After the party I felt this really weird feeling in my stomach. It wasn't a pain, but it felt like a butterfly was in my stomach. Wait, I've felt this before...am I in love again? But with whom? No. It couldn't be...oh my gosh. I'm in love with Alexa! All this time we've known each other for years and I finally realize it now?! I pull out my phone and text Zayn.
HarryS; Zayn, I'm in love with Alexa.
Zsings; woah dude didn't see that coming!
HarryS; what do I do?!
Zsings; dude you should ask her out!
HarryS; really?
Zsings; of course. You never know if they like you back if you don't ask 'em out. In fact I'm going to ask out Sara tomorrow.
HarryS; ok, thanks. And congrats. See ya tomorrow.
Zsings; bye
I got ready for bed and fell asleep in deep thought. I felt that I had to make tomorrow just as perfect as today. I have never wanted something so bad before. I really hoped that Alexa felt the same way, and that this doesn't make things awkward.
Alexa's P.O.V
The next day was Thursday. When I woke up, it was 7:00 am! I was almost late for school! At least my dad had already left, and mom isn't getting home till 10:00am. They both worked everyday, switching between night shift and day shift. We were very low on money right now so they were working really hard on getting back to normal budgets. So no birthday presents this year except from my grandma and friends. My grandma nit me a very pretty and soft sweater, and Marie got me the iPhone case I really wanted, and all the girls chipped in. Harry said he got me something yesterday and he'd give it to me today, so I was exited to see what it is. I realize I'm getting caught up in my thoughts, I quickly grab some random clothes and shoes and put them on. Then I race to the bus stop. Harry is there before me again. Then I realize that the only reason I'm almost late was because Alissa wasn't home today. I wonder what she was doing. She was home all night. Harry asks me to sit with him.
"So, why do you keep asking me to sit with you now?" I ask him.
"So we can get to know each other better." He says.
"Um, the bus ride is only 5 minutes long."
"Oh, yeah...." He blushes a little.
"So what's my present?!" I ask changing the subject.
"It would be better if you sit with me at lunch. Don't bring anyone." He instructs me.
"Okay!" Just then, the bus pulled into the school parking lot.
"Wait, one question, why are you wearing mismatched shoes?" He asks confused.
"Hey! I was in a hurry this morning!" Now I'm blushing.
"Whatever you say." He smiles his dimple filled smile. And we both laugh.
As I head to my locker, I feel someone cover my mouth and eyes, and jerk me to another room. When they uncover my face, I notice it was Lisa.
"We'll good morning to you too!" I say sarcastically "what the hell was that for?!"
"I admitted that I liked Harry to Marie, and she said you liked him and told me to back off. But I get what I want so you have to back off." She looked like she was going to rip my head off.
"Well we can compromise." I try to calm her down.
"Ok, so lets ask him on a date for the same time and whoever he goes to will get him. The other will back off." She still looks like she could murder me any minute now.
"Deal." I shake her hand. Then I hear the bell ring and I literally run to math.
Harry's P.O.V
At lunch I make sure the only person who sits with me is Alexa. As soon as I see her my face lifts. I wave to her and pat the seat across from me. She makes eye contact and comes to sit.
"So what's my present?" She asks me.
"Um," I clear my throat, I had to sound more confident. "Go on a date with me?" Her eyes brighten up with a slight twinkle.
"Well, I dunno. We are really good friends Harry and I don't want to ruin that or make things awkward between us." She looks very pitiful and nervous, but the twinkle is still there.
"Look, I realized that I really like you Alex, I just want to know your true feelings about me." I called her Alex. I've never called her that before.
"Oh, wow. I actually feel the exact same way towards you." I just wanted to jump out of my seat.
"So is it a yes?" I wonder.
"Yes, Harry. Best birthday gift ever." She gets up and hugs me from behind. Best day ever for me!
