Niall’s POV:
“N-Niall? What are you doing here?” Jules stuttered, obviously shocked and confused on why and how I was here.

“I’m here to see my daughter…isn’t it obvious?” I asked her, raising an eyebrow as Lexi clung to my side.

“I missed daddy so much, mommy!” Lexi smiled widely at Jules, but Jules still stood there in shock. I bent down and picked her up, before kissing her cheek.

“I’m sure he missed you too, Lex.” Jules forced out a smile and the room was sufficiently awkward. After a while, Eric cleared his throat trying to break the tension in the room.

“Well, um… we should get going…” Eric spoke quietly, glancing at the watch on his wrist.

“If you don’t mind, I would like to take Lexi out for the day.” I said bluntly, causing Jules to furrow her eyebrows. “After all, she is my daughter, too.” I knew she couldn’t make up an excuse after I said that. We both knew that what she did was wrong; keeping Lexi away from me. I know what I did to Jules was wrong, but she didn’t need to involve Lexi in that. I missed my princess, and I absolutely hated not seeing her.

Julia sighed before, pulling a loose strand of her hair behind her ear. “Um…yeah, sure. But she needs to be home by six.”

“Well can’t she just stay with me for the night…?” I hoped she would say yes. I haven’t seen her in so long I just wanted the chance to hang out with her.

It took Jules a bit of convincing, but I was finally able to have Lexi for the night. I couldn’t be happier. As soon as we got back to the house, all of the boys gladly hugged her, a smile never leaving anyone’s face.

“I get to stay here the whole night!” Lexi told the boys, clapping her hands excitedly.

“Oh my gosh, no way!” Louis joked, spinning her around as she giggled.

“Uncle Louis!” She squealed, squirming around with a smile on her face.

“So what are we going to do today?” Harry asked, plopping himself down on the couch. I shrugged my shoulders as Lexi clung to my leg after Louis set her back down.

“Well, I don’t know about you guys, but I am going to show Lexi around London.” I looked down at her as she flashed me a wide grin. I chuckled lightly, bending down to kiss the top of her head.

“No fair! What if we wanted to look around London as well?” Zayn crossed her arms, faking a sad expression. I scoffed, shaking my head.

“Oh, please. You’ve all seen London. Pretty much every aspect of it. You’ll be fine.” I winked, patting his shoulder before picking Lexi up. “See you later guys, we have a full day ahead of us.” I kissed Lexi’s cheek and she scrunched her nose wiping it away.

“Daaaaaddyyyy.” She groaned, causing the other lads to laugh.

“What’s the matter? You didn’t mind my kiss earlier.” I raised an eyebrow curious as to why my toddler was so embarrassed by it now. She simply shrugged her shoulders. Well then.

“Anyways, you two have fun. We’ll see you later. Enjoy your day Miss Lexi.” Liam smiled widely, before picking her up and hugging her while she just giggled.

“See you lads later.” I said, as Liam handed Lexi back over to me. She smiled widely at me, before wrapping her arms around my neck. I kissed her head before heading out of the door and to my car.

To be quite honest, I was a bit nervous for today. I mean, I honestly didn’t even think I’d be able to see my daughter. Something just told me that I needed to, and I couldn’t be happier that she’s with me. Yes, I still missed Julia, but for now I needed to give her some space…otherwise I’m afraid she won’t let me see Lexi. As I helped Lexi into the car, she quickly buckled her seatbelt once she was settled in her car seat.

“Daddy, I can do it myself. I’m a big girl.” She pointed at the buckle, showing me that she knew how to do it. I put my hands up in defense with a small chuckle. I shut the door carefully, and jogged around to the driver’s seat.

“Are you hungry, princess?” I asked her, and she nodded her head excitedly. Okay, then. Food it is!

“DADDY I WANT TO GO ON THAT!” Lexi jumped up and down. I looked to where she was pointing, and my eyes widened a little. The London Eye. The first place I took Julia…

“U-um, yeah okay…” I said a bit uncertain. I’m not sure I was ready to think of all the memories I shared with Julia. This was the place I took her after she and her dad were fighting. She didn’t want to cry in front of me. I remember it all.

“Daddy…?” Lexi’s voice broke me away from all my thoughts. I looked down at her as she tugged on my hand.

“Yes, sweetheart?” I asked her, feeling something wet on my cheek. I quickly wiped it away, realizing that I was crying.

“Why are you crying daddy? Are you sad?” She asked, raising her eyebrows. I sighed, not really knowing what to say. I bent down to pick her up, and kissed her cheek.

“I’m fine, princess. How about we just get some ice cream and head home? I promise I’ll take you on it another time, okay?” I asked, looking at her as she nodded her head before nuzzling her head in the crook of my neck. I smiled down at her weakly, turning around and heading back to the car.



“You guys are back a bit earlier than expected.” Zayn greeted as we walked into the house. Lexi ran up to him and he caught her and spun her around.

“Uh…yeah…it was getting a bit late…” I mumbled, rubbing the nape of my neck.

“Uncle Zayn, daddy was crying.” Lexi pointed at me. Great.

“Crying? Why?” Zayn asked a bit shocked. I sighed as I walked over and sat by him and Lexi on the couch. I glanced at her and back at Zayn, and he nodded his head.

“Hey Lex, why don’t you go in the kitchen and ask Louis to make you a snack.” He smiled kindly at Lexi, and she nodded her head and ran off to find Louis.

“She wanted to go on the London Eye.” I said bluntly.

“And you cried because…?” Zayn asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

“Because that was where I took Jules. We had our sort of first date then…I mean, we didn’t call it a date but it sort of felt like one…” I shrugged my shoulders with a small sigh.

“You really do love her, don’t you?” Zayn asked quietly, and I simply just nodded my head.

I don’t think I would ever stop loving her, honestly.
