Liam’s POV:
“Don’t you think you’re being a little over dramatic about this? It’s not like we planned to see each other…it just happened.” Zayn shrugged her shoulders, shoving his hands back in his pocket. We were now back at the house, and I couldn’t stop thinking about the whole situation.
“Overdramatic? Zayn, she’s my best friend and she ignored me for a long time. I didn’t want it to last three years until we saw each other again. That’s not going to happen again. I care too much about her. But for her to hang out with you and not tell the rest of us? It isn’t fair.” I frowned, shaking my head.

“Your best friend? As far as I’m concerned we’re all her best friend. And Niall is her daughter’s father. So you’re not the only one who is allowed to see her, Liam.” Zayn spat at me in disgust. He glared at me before turning around and heading to his room.

I sighed and turned around in the opposite direction to my room, but I was stopped when I was shocked to see who was standing there.

“Y-You saw Jules…?” I heard him say. I looked down, nodding my head. I felt bad for the lad. I know he’s probably hurting the most… I’m just being selfish.

“Um…yeah...but it wasn’t very pleasant what went down between the two of us. I was sort of being an arse.” I shrugged my shoulders, letting out a nervous chuckle.

“Did you see my little girl?” He asked. I could see his eyes read and puffy, already beginning to water. This wasn’t the Niall I was used to seeing. He was heartbroken and clearly upset by his actions. I know he is, everyone does. I really do wish there was something I could do to help.

“No, actually…it was just Jules and—“ I cut myself off, cursing myself that I mentioned she was with someone.

“And…?” Niall motioned for me to continue.

“Some lad.” I shrugged my shoulders. I honestly didn’t really know who he was. Good job, Liam. Just make him more upset, I’m sure that will help. I sighed, seeing a few tears roll down his cheek.

Before I could say anything else, he turned around on his heels, quickly heading back to his room. I sighed, hesitating to go after him. I decided not to. It’s not like he would answer his door anyways. He would just shut everyone out…like he always did nowadays. I ran my hand through my hair before plopping myself down on the couch. I could hear the front door open and knew that Harry and Louis were back from whatever they were doing.

“Hey, what’s up?” Louis asked with concern on his face. I took a deep breath before patting the seats next to me. They both sat, waiting for me to explain, and eventually I did. All of it.

Niall’s POV:
“Woah, you’re actually out o your room!” Louis remarked as I made my way into the kitchen. I just ignored him, opening the refrigerator before grabbing a bottle of water. “What’s up with you mate?” He asked, but again I just ignored him, grabbing a set of keys off of the counter. “Wait, where are you going?” He asked for a third time. I sighed before stopping and turning around.

“To go see my daughter.” I replied bluntly before turning back around and heading out of the house. I needed to see my little girl. After all, Jules couldn’t have her all to herself. Lexi was mine too.



It didn’t take me that long to arrive at Simon’s house, thankfully. As soon as I parked the car, I was already taking my seatbelt off and opening the car door. I walked up to the front gates, clicking on the buzzer.

“May I help you sir?” I could hear someone—probably the butler—say.

“I’m here to see Julia and Lexi.” I said quickly, hoping he would just let me in already. There was a short pause before the gates opened and I was let inside. As I made my way to the door, the butler had opened it, allowing me inside the house.

“Daddy?” I could hear a familiar voice say. I turned to my left to see my little princess looking at me with a puzzled look. Not too long after did she begin to smile and run up to me. “Daddy!” She yelled, jumping into my arms. I smiled, kissing her cheek and spinning her around.

“I missed you so much baby girl.” I tried to hold back a few of my tears. I did indeed miss her. Everyone knew that. I’m pretty sure Jules did, too…

“Why are you here, daddy?” She asked me, tilting her head to the side. I hugged her tightly, never wanting to let her go.

“Well I came to see you, of course.” I grinned widely at her before she kissed my nose.

“I love you.” She smiled back, wrapping her small arms around me.

“I love you too, princess. So very much.” I kissed the top of her head before setting her back down. I heard a few footsteps coming from behind me, so I turned around and was greeted by an unfamiliar face.

“Oh, hello.” He said a bit shocked.

“Uh…hi?” I said, although it came out as more of a question.

“Daddy! This is Eric, mommy’s friend.” Lexi introduced us. Oh, so this must be the guy Liam was talking about last night...

“It’s nice to meet you.” He smiled, sticking his hand out for me to shake.

“Nice to meet you too. I’m Niall. Lexi’s father.” I tried to emphasize the last part just to make it clear to him, that he would never be able to take my place in my daughter’s life no matter what relationship he had with Jules. Jules…she must be here then…

“Eric?” I heard her voice coming closer. “Oh there you ar—“ She stopped in her tracks, staring at me.

“N-Niall? What are you doing here?”
