Loved You First (Sequel to Simon's Daughter)

Chapter 29

Julia’s POV:
My date with Eric was…well…let’s just say awkward would be an understatement. I felt bad because I was basically bringing him into a world full of drama that is my life. The whole time I couldn’t stop thinking about the boys…especially Niall. I knew Eric must have had a shitty time considering I stared off into space the majority of the time.

“Well...uh…it was nice hanging out with you today.” He said to me as we reached my father’s house. He shoved his hands into his pockets, looking down at his shoes.

“Yeah, I had fun. Thanks.” I said awkwardly, rocking back and forth on my heels.

“So you leave tomorrow night?” He raised an eyebrow curiously. Holy shit. I forgot to tell Niall that. Now he’ll be even more pissed off at me.

“Yeah…you know surprisingly I’m going to miss you. Even if we have only known each other for a short amount of time.” I tried to lighten the mood, smiling at him. He finally looked up at me, a sincere grin taking over his face.

“Yeah? Well I’ll miss you too, Cowell.” He winked at me playfully and we both laughed a little.

He stepped closer to me, placing a small and quick kiss on my lips. I smiled as he pulled away. We waved goodbye to each other and I watched as he drove away, his car slowly becoming out of sight. I sighed, standing outside the gates of the house. I decided I wanted to walk to the park I used to always go to. To think about everything while I’m actually alone this time.

When I arrived at the park, I sat underneath the tree in which Zayn found me underneath. I kind of wish he would come back because like Liam, he was a good listener and it was easy for me to talk to him. I looked out over to the playground to see all the kids and their parents. I spotted a young girl with brown hair running over to the swings alone. I wondered where her mother or father was, but I’m sure they were close by. She reminded me of Lexi; energetic and always excited. Although I couldn’t see her face (since her back was turned to me), I knew she was a beautiful young girl. At the corner of my eye I could notice someone coming up to me. I turned my head to see who it was.

“May I sit?” Niall said quietly, looking me in the eyes. I sighed, nodding my head and scooting over a little to let him sit. He sat beside me, but not too close, knowing I still needed a little space.

“What are you doing here? Where’s Lex?” I asked the last question frantically. He just chuckled shaking his head.

“She’s fine, she’s right over there on the swings.” He pointed over at the same girl who I spotted earlier. That was my own daughter. I relaxed a bit realizing she was safe. “Can we talk?” He asked me. I knew this moment would come but I wasn’t sure of when exactly it would happen.

“There’s nothing to talk about Ni—“

“Yes there is, just listen. Look Jules, you may think you know the full story but you don’t. Yes, I regret what I did so much. Even if we just kissed.”

“Just a kiss? Niall you had sex with another girl.” I said coldly with a frown.

“And that’s exactly where you’re wrong.” He stated simply, shrugging his shoulders.

“Wrong? What do you mean wrong? Niall, everyone knows what you did. Basically the whole world.”

“I didn’t have sex with her, Jules. We just made out. It did get a little heated, but that’s where I ended it. She stayed the night in my bed, but I slept on the floor. I couldn’t let her go home; especially since she was intoxicated. I heard her leaving my room in the morning, so I went back into my bed. That’s when Harry and Liam came in…” He sighed. I didn’t know what to say. Was I still pissed off he cheated? Hell yeah I was. But now that he had cleared things up I wasn’t as pissed. But of course I still was.

“Niall you still hurt me.” I could feel my eyes getting watery.

“I know I did baby. I know I fucked up. Badly. And I am so so so so sorry. I really am.” He used his index finger to turn my head in his direction. We stayed silent for a moment, just taking in each other’s presence. He wiped away a few tears with the pad of his thumb, and before I knew it, I was leaning in to kiss his lips.

Oh how I missed them dearly.

Notes

So after 5,000 years I finally updated. I apologize. I just honestly had no inspiration whatsoever and then I kind of forgot about it.

Buuuuut I saw the boys September 25th and bam my inspiration came back! Haha. So I know it sucks and what not but ya know it's better than not updating right? Anyways, I apologize!
