Chapter 30: Amusement
Chapter 30: Amusement (Liam’s P.O.V.)
It was hard to believe that we were ahead of schedule. Even with all six of us acting like idiots, we had somehow managed to finish all of the recording with a few days to spare. Today, we were just going to have a day to hang out.
But we had a problem. We couldn’t decide where or what we were going to do (or maybe in Harry’s case who). Anyway, it was just going to be the guys and me with Tori and Amber, because Cody and Natalie had a date planned for today.
“What are we going to do?” Louis whined for what felt like the thousandth time. I quickly realized I should have had him drive instead of me, it usually cuts back on his complaining.
“Yeah,” Amber chimed in, “What are we going to do?”
I sighed as I tried to ignore them. I looked in the rearview mirror to see what was going on behind me. Zayn, Tori, and Harry were in the very back and Amber and Louis were sitting in the middle row. I had the Irish one for front seat company.
“This place looks good,” Niall suddenly said, his nose in his phone.
“What?” Louis asked as his head popped up between us.
“There’s an amusement park nearby.”
I could see everyone’s eyes light up at his words. I think we had decided at that moment that we were each going to be unleashing our inner child today.
I followed Niall’s directions and got there in about twenty minute with only getting lost once. I could barely get the van in park before Amber and Louis were jumping ship.
“Bye!” they called together before they disappeared.
We all sat there for a moment before we all decided to get out.
“What should we do first?” Harry asked as he tried to read the map over my shoulder. I looked over at him for a second before he smiled and eased away.
“I voted have some fun,” Tori said with a cheeky grin.
Harry squinted at her, “Smartass.”
“Why thank you,” she responded as she took a dramatic bow. She stood back up and Zayn wrapped an arm around her shoulders as the two of them went back to reading the map that she had. They were quiet as Tori pointed to something. They looked at each other and nodded with grins. I raised an eyebrow at them, not sure what they were planning.
That was when the two of them took off at a dead sprint in the other direction.
“Hey!” I called, “Wait up!”
“Not fair!” Harry and Niall yelled together as we took off after them, “Jinx! Double jinx!”
“Oh shut up!” I yelled as we tried to catch up to the two of them.
We finally managed to catch them as they boarded a roller coaster that was surprisingly not crowded.
“Hi slowpokes,” Tori smiled as Niall and I sat down behind them. Harry was behind us alone until he was joined by a girl that quickly caught his attention. Like I said earlier, who.
“You could have just said where you wanted to go,” I started, “Instead of running off like that.”
“But that was more fun,” Tori gave me a cheesy grin. Zayn smiled at us as he took his arm from her shoulders as the coaster began moving forward.
For roughly the next minute, we all screamed and yelled as we were beat around by the force. The coaster came to a screeching halt as it enter the station.
“I hate roller coasters,” Harry grumbled as we walked away.
Niall turned to him, “Then why did you get on there?”
I looked over my shoulder as he answered as I suspended, “I was wanting that girl’s number.”
“Was it worth it?” Zayn answered.
We were answered by the large smile that crossed Harry’s face, “Yeah.”
The rest of the morning went by with loads of fun. After a few hours, our fun was put on hold by the growling stomach of a certain blonde.
“Mate,” Niall whined, “Can we stop and get something to eat?”
“Yeah,” Zayn chimed in, “I am getting kind of hungry.”
“That does sound like a good idea.”
With Tori’s vote, it was now three to two, so we were stopping for food. We barely had time to get near the food court before Niall was sprinting off toward a stand. Harry was right behind him as the rest of us stood and watched them take off.
“What do you want?” Zayn asked Tori. She told him a sandwich and drink would do, before he was off after the other two.
I turned to Tori, “I suppose we have to find a seat.”
“Yeah,” she replied.
“Shall we?” I asked as I offered my arm with a creepy grin.
She shook her head, “You are so weird.”
“But I’m a good weird brother.”
She smiled and shook her head more as she took my arm and we headed over toward the tables. We sat down and started up a conversation as we waited on the others to get back with the food.
“I hope they remember to get you something,” Tori said. That was when I realized that I had given any of the guys an order for my lunch.
I groaned, “That’s great.”
I was about to get up to go get my food when Amber came running in out of nowhere. She pretty much attacked Tori with a hug.
“Amber?” she asked, “What’s up?”
She leaned back and I could see the giant smile that was on her face, “Louis just asked me out.”
I turned around to see Louis was over with the other guys in line as they talked. He was wearing a large smile himself.
“What did you say?” Tori asked.
A faint smile was still on Amber’s face as she answered, “Nothing.” There was a pause, “I kissed him.”
The two hugged. I smiled at the sight as I turned to head over to the guys and congratulate Louis. Oh, and to order my food.
