Chapter 18: Nobody Messes With Family (Liam’s P.O.V.)
Once the light had turned green, it didn’t take me long to find Zayn and Tori. When I did, Zayn was Tori and I could see her shaking. She was crying.
I pulled up to the curb as Zayn said something to her. She nodded before they turned and walked toward the car. Zayn helped her into the back seat and slid in beside her. I listened as I took them back to Tori’s house. I heard how this Lacy Wilson girl had approached Tori and told her that she had no right to know us. It made me so mad.
I pulled up outside of Tori’s and let the two of them climb out of the car. Zayn began to lead Tori toward her house, but stopped to turn back around to me.
“Are you coming, Liam?” he asked.
I shook my head as I shifted the car into drive, “I have somewhere to be.”
Then I had pulled away from the curb and heading down the street. I hadn’t lied, I really did have somewhere to be. Even if it wasn’t something that I originally planned for my day.
That was when I pulled up in the parking lot of Tori’s school for the second time today. I shut off the car and headed into the building. It didn’t take me very long to reach my destination. I watched from a door as the girls did lifts and cried out cheers.
“Break!” who I guess was the couch called out.
The girls broke all formations and went to go get drinks and talk with each other. I scanned over the girls, knowing that there was one in particular that I wanted to talk with.
“Lacy!” a girl with brown hair called to a blonde. “Come here.”
I watched the blonde begin to walk across the gym. That was when I began to move into the gym. I didn’t bother wasting anytime.
“Lacy?”
She turned at the sound of her name and looked at me. As her eyes landed on me, they lit up. I could see her trying to fix her appearance for me, even though I could care less.
“Yes?”
“Can I talk with you for a moment?” I asked as I stepped up to her. I could feel the other girls’ eyes on me. They all knew I was here, but I didn’t care. This would just make it all the better.
“Yes,” she smiled, “How can I help you?”
I acted as though I had to think for a moment, even though I knew exactly what I was going to say. “You can learn your place.”
She looked at me shocked, “Excuse me?”
It was clear that she had not been expecting that. The others hadn’t been expecting that either, but I didn’t care.
“I heard what you did.” I started, “I came here to tell you that you are wrong. You are the one who needs to learn her place.”
I continued to look at her for a moment before turning to leave.
“Why do you care about that little nobody?”
Her words just brought back my bad mood. I wiped back around and glared at her, “For your information,” I growled, “She isn’t a nobody. She is a better person than you could ever hope of becoming.”
I could easily see that this really hurt her pride. She was trying to hide it, I mean she couldn’t harm her image. But I wasn’t done yet, I had one more thing to add.
“And she is my little sister now. And no one messes with my family, not even spoiled little brats who think that they are princesses with reign over everyone.”
I looked at her for a second more, before turning and leaving the gym.
