The New Girl
Chapter Twenty
-JOEYS POV-
I promised myself that I would be happy this weekend because I am FINALLY turning seventeen. I got home from school and Brie was going to go out with Niall tonight so I decided to stay home and plan my birthday outfit for tomorrow. As I was choosing between my favorite shorts or one of my dresses my phone buzzed.

I’m coming. Hold on.
I Walk up to my studio to see Zayn just sitting on the roof. I roll my eyes and open the window.
“Yes Mr.Malik?” I say pretending to be irritated.
“Well I brought chineese for us to share but if its not a good time-…….” He starts but I cut him off.
“Get in here asshole.” I say laughing and rolling my eyes.
“Yay!” he says excitedly as he climbs into the window.
We climb down and head into my room being extra quiet because I am not supposed to have any guys home right now. I have been scared to bring any guys inside the house when my dad is home. He hasn’t moved out yet but I always hear them arguing. I just wish they would stop acting like a happy couple when all of us know they aren’t. Shh! Stupid brain! This is supposed to be a happy weekend! Zayn drifts me out of my thoughts.
"So what are you wearing tomorrow birthday girl?” He asked me trying unsuccessfully to pick up a piece of chicken with chopsticks.
“I don’t know. I was actually trying to decide when you texted me.” I say chucking at him because he still can’t pick up the chicken.
“Don’t laugh at me!” he whines. “I wanna help! Show me what you were choosing from!” he says excitedly. I roll my eyes and bring out two out fits. There was a dress or shortie shorts with a see through tank.
“THAT ONE.” He pointed the short outfit.
“You sure it won’t be too revealing?” I ask him.
“Positive.” He said to me with a cheeky grin.
“Fine.” I say giggling. I know the reason he picked the outfit.

I woke up to the smell of smoke. I sat up and saw Perrie, Danielle, Eleanor, Louis, Niall, Zayn, Liam and Brie holding a huge stack of pancakes with candles stuck into them. Then I could see two little head bobbing around behind them. Liam picked up Emma and Zayn Picked up Ella. I rubbed my eyes to make sure that they were all really there. I knew they were definitely there when they started to sing which of course made me blush.
“Happy Birthday to…” My friends would start
“JOEY!” my sisters would finish. They did this for the whole song. It was quite adorable until Emma sneezed on the pancakes.
“EMMA!!!” everyone screams at the same time. She starts to giggle.
“ARE YOU GIGGLING?!” Louis screams to Emma. She nods still giggling.
“I will give you something to giggle about!!” He yells then starts to tickle her. She starts to scream and laugh uncontrollably which makes Ella giggle. Louis turns his head fast to face her. She covered her mouth.
“I’m Sorry Mr.Louis!” She says then hugs his neck. She hates to be tickled.
“Awwww!!!” We all scream when Louis takes her out of the arms of Zayn and hugs her. She rests her head on his shoulder. He has always been so good with kids.
“Hey Boobear, if you ever want to babysit just give me a call!” I say laughing. He chuckles and sits on the bed to play with the girls. I get up but realize I was in a sports bra. All of my friends just stare at me.
“Um guys this birthday girl wants to change so can you like get out?” I ask chuckling.
“Do we have to?” Liam whines and Dani hits him on the shoulder. Brie shoos everyone out and I get changed into the short outfit Zayn picked.

I head downstairs to see Brie cooking me NEW pancakes. I stand in the doorway the leads to the kitchen and take a look at everything I have here in London. I really am happy that I moved from New York. I mean I have my best friends here and I could never leave them. I am happy that by the time my parents move again, I should be in college and living in a dorm with brie and everything will be perfect. Liam and Zayn are watching Brie make pancakes because they supposedly make them different. El, Dani, and Perrie are whispering among themselves and Niall and Louis are in the Living room playing with the twins. I smile and chuckle to myself which makes everyone turn to face to me.
“Damn Joey you look hot!” Perrie squeals.
“I totally agree with you Perrie!” Louis squeals mocking Perrie. Perrie shoots a glare.
“So are we going to go to school or are we ditching?” I ask them considering we have like 10 minutes until the tardy bell rings.
“SHIT! We are so late! Let’s go guys!” El yells to everyone. Brie wraps up the pancakes and we all run out of the door

-ZAYNS POV-
It’s the end of the day and I am with everyone when Joey walked out of the building.
“Hey guys! Whats up?” Joey asks us.
“Well we gotta go, come on girls.” Dani grabs El, Perrie, and Brie and they walk to Dani’s car.
“Well that was weird. So what do you guys want to do?” Joey asks us.
“I have to….. Go see my grandmother because she is in the hospital.” Louis spits out and runs to his car.
“I will come with you Lou!” Liam follows Louis
“I have to go to work. Bye guys.” Harry ran to his car.
“ummmmmm……..im hungry???” Niall says trying to make an excuse to leave and set up for the party. I roll my eyes at his sad excuse.
“Lets go to the Mall!” I say to Joey excitingly.
“What you’re not gonna leave me?” Joey asks me looking disappointed.
“Come on!” I say as I pull her to the car.
-BRIS POV-
When we got to Joey’s house, we started to set up for the party. Her parents and sisters left for New York this morning after we left. All four boys walked in laughing.
“Hey guys! The two strongest guys need to carry this table outside and DON’T let anything fall!” I say to them smirking at the first part because I know this is going to turn into an argument and I LOVE when they argue. It’s adorable.
“Alright guys I got this.” Louis says rubbing his hands together and going to one side of the table.
“Yeah me to Lad!” Liam says to Louis.
“Well maybe I wanted to do it!” Harry whines. Liam rolls his eyes.
“was that an eye roll?!” Harry says to Liam. And so it begins. Liam and Harry end up challenging each other to an arm wrestle.
“Oh for god sake!” Eleanor and I scream at the same time. We shoo the boys off of the table and carry the huge table by ourselves. When we got back inside, the boys were standing there with wide eyes.
“You guys were taking too long. Sorry babe.” Eleanor patted Louis’ cheek.
-ZAYNS POV-
I told her dressy. We have been in like 5 stores and we can’t seem to find the right dress. We walked into a dress store and she squealed. LOUDLY. She grabs something off of the rack and runs into the fitting room. I sit on the couch outside of the rooms and wait.
“Zayn?” she says and I look up. Im so shocked. It’s the most gorgeous dress I have ever seen her in.
“Is it too girly?” She asks me looking at herself in the mirror.
“Get the hell out of that dress!” I tell her.
“Huh?” She looks at me confused.
“We are buying it.” I tell her.
-HARRYS POV-
“Guys! Turn off all of the lights! She is coming down the street!” Brie yells. We turn off all of the lights and hide.
The door opens.
“Zayn please tell me why I have to wear a dress if I am coming to my own freaking home?!” she says as we hear her walk in.
“Why the hell are all of the lights off?” She turns them on and we wait a second so she can see all of the decorations.
“What the fu-“ we cut her off before we could finish.
“SURPRISE!” we yell. She screams at the top of her lungs and covers her eyes.
