The New Girl
Chapter Twenty One
-JOEYS POV-
I look up from my hands and the color drains from my face.
“Harry?” Why the hell is he here? I glance over to Brie and she raises here eyebrows. She could always read my mind.
“Um hey Joey.” He says quietly looking at the floor with his hands stuffed in his pockets. There was silence erupting from the whole house. I just stood there like a fool looking at him. Perrie nudged me with her elbow breaking me from my trance.
“Oh hey Harry.” I practically whisper. “You know what I need air.” I confessed and walked pass everyone to the back porch where my whole backyard was covered in decorations. Okay this is not helping. I walk passed the decorations and passed the pool, through the gate and find myself at the end of the driveway. I sit on the curb. I was sitting there for a while before someone came out. I figured it was Brie coming to check on me. I was WAY off.
“Joey?” he says as I turn around and my insides melt. He has one tear rolling down his cheek and his emerald eyes are staring into my soul. Oh god I think I am going to faint. I need to get out of here. I stand up.
“Please just let me explain before you completely reject me.” He pleads.
“Okay.” I whisper but I don’t look at him. His eyes are an advantage for him.
“Look Joanna. I am so sorry for what happened. I just got so damn jealous! I shouldn’t have kissed that girl in the first place. I know I hurt you Joey. I have been miserable not being able to talk to you! I was the happiest I have EVER been the time I have spent with you!” he says with tears spilling out of his eyes one by one.
“Harr-“ I was cut off.
“No let me finish.” I nodded and he came a step closer. “Joanna Parker, I have fallen head over heels for you and I don’t know what I am going to do if I lose you. I hate myself for what I did to you. I will never forgive myself and I wouldn’t blame you if you hated me too! I just wanted you to know how-“ I cut him off by running up to him and I crashed my lips onto his. It took him a second to process what was happening but he soon started to kiss me back. My arms reach his neck and he wraps his around my waist so he could spin me around.
“I have fallen head over heels for you too.” I say as we stop for air. I look up and wipe the tears that are still on his face with my thumb.
“Sorry you had to see me cry.” He chuckles resting his forehead against mine.
“It’s okay, I think it’s cute.” I smile.
“So you are forgiving me?” He asks excitedly.
“Everyone deserves a second chance right?” I tell him. He nods and kisses my forehead.
-BRIES POV-
“I should go talk to her.” I announce as Joey sits on the curb.
“May I? I need to fix this.” Harry asks me pleading.
“Go for it but don’t make things worse okay? She already has shit in her life to deal with.” I say and he nods and heads out of the front door. I hope she is okay but I really hope they fix this whole mess. We all crowd around the window and watch.
After about 3 minutes the boys started to get board so they went to sit on the couch. Zayn, Liam and Louis were on the couch with Niall sitting on the back when we started to scream and jump around.
“WHAT THE HELL!?” Niall screamed at us after he fell off the back of the couch.
“THEY ARE KISSING!!!” I yell back at him and they all scramble to get back over to the window. We all start to cheer, high five, and fist bump as we watch the love birds. We waited a while for them to finish making out.
“Don’t they need air?” Niall asks me innocently which makes me giggle.
“No Niall, they are part fish.” El states sarcastically.
“I knew it!” He yells and we all look at him then burst out laughing.
“Guys they are coming back! Move!” I yell and push everyone to the living room. “Act Natural!!” I add. Niall, of course being him, is terrible under pressure so he looks around frantically before jumping into the pool fully clothed. We all try to stifle laughter as Harry and Joey walk in.
“So Harry, what kinda gum was it this time?” Louis asks him grinning. We all burst into fits of laughter as their faces turn a dark shade of crimson.
Niall walks in dripping wet.
“Wha-?” Joey starts looking confused but Niall cuts her off.
“I went swimming…”
“I will get you a towel.” Dani insists as she leaves the room.
“You know what you guys need?” Niall asks Joey and Harry. They both give him a confused look waiting for him to continue.
“A HUG!” he yells and runs towards them. Joey squeals and runs away but Niall doesn’t give up.
“Just one?! Come on! For your birthday?!” He yells sliding around the corner chasing her.
“No! Niall! This dress was expensive! No! Ahhhh!!!” Joey comes back around and stops thinking she lost him somewhere in the house. She was wrong. He came sliding back into the living room and was aiming to tackle Joey in a hug, but missed. He hit me instead. We both ended up on the floor with him landing on top of me. This was going to be a long night.
