"I did wanna die and I did hate you but now that I have gotten all that off my chest, I am starting to feel better."
"Niall, you can trust me, I promise. I am here to help you and to do anything you need, I just want you to get better and feel better. Are you going to let me help you now? If you don't feel better in a few days at least, then feel free to get me fired or to completely shut me out. I am just asking for one chance. Can you give me that?"
Niall barely lifted his head from Hadley's chest only to nod his head. Hadley tried to get up but Niall asked her to stay for a few more minutes because she was making him feel comfortable and at home. She blushed and hide her face shyly. After Niall finally let her go, she insisted that she is going to go run him a nice bath and then make him a big dinner to help get his strength back and get him back on his feet. But she soon realized he needed a lot more help than she expected because he was so weak from not eating and just sleeping all the time. She helped him get out of bed carefully and then into the bathroom so he could get ready to take the bath that she is running. As the tub started to fill up, Niall started to undress.
Hadley glanced over at him and tears started to prick her eyes. He is just so skinny and sickly. She got up and went over to him. She reached out and started to touch his ribs that were trying so hard to poke out of his skin. He flinched when she touched him and put up his arm to strike her out of habit. She gently took his hand and put it down assuring him that she is just trying to help him. It took a little convincing but he finally relaxed. She gently felt around his ribs to make sure there wasn't more damage than just the starvation. It caused Niall a little pain since the area had become sensitive and he whimpered a few times. It broke Hadley's heart to have seen Niall so vulnerable today.
She took her fingers off him and kissed his cheek gently before whispering, "Niall, I am going to make you better, I promise. I will not stop until you are back to full health both physically and mentally even emotionally so you can trust women again and get the love you deserve."
Niall looked blankly in a random direction and quietly, vulnerably said, "Why would you do all that for me? I am hopeless and worthless."
