He Found Me
*Kendall’s POV*
It’s my birthday today, and Liam nicely tweeted about it this morning so there was a trend “#HappyBirthdayKendall” in honor of me, which is quite hard to think plausible. Because a month ago I was just some nobody American living in London.
I apparently have to go to a club with the boys and the girls to celebrate. I honestly don’t want to, but Niall convinced me. And it’s really hard to say no to him.
I’m folding clothes at Forever 21. My boss said I could take the day off, but I decided I wanted that to be tomorrow so I’m working today until 4 and then we get ready to party from 5 on into the wee hours of the morning.
My shift is over in like 10 minutes, so I decide to just refold these clothes then clock out.
Someone taps me on the shoulder, so I start the required spiel, “Hello, welcome to Forever 21, my name is Kendall. How may I-” I turn around and I see it’s Jack.
Oh shit.
“Hello, Kendy.” He steps up close, invading my personal space. “Long time no see.”
“What do you want?” I say under my breath, trying to not get any attention drawn towards us.
“I want to know what made you think you could go off fucking that stupid Boyband cunt.” He hisses, managing to get even closer.
“This is my life now, Jack. You need to stay away from it.” I go to leave but he grabs my upper arm and yanks me back at him. I gasp at the jolt of pain that courses up and down my arm.
“I don’t think so, Riverden. You think just because you go running off to fucking London I won’t find you? Especially since it’s the biggest thing that you’re dating Lionel Parks?”
“Liam Payne.” I manage to correct him, even though his grip is getting tighter. “Get my boyfriend’s name right, for God’s sake.”
“Oh you’re asking for it, bitch…” Before he can react, I hear a familiar voice.
“Everything going okay here?” My boss Katie walks up in her fancy heels. Almost instantly, Jack releases me and I feel the blood rush to my wounds.
“Peachy keen.” He says, sticking his hands in his pockets and making the move to leave quickly.
“Do I need to call security?” It’s a threat, but she’s asking me. I shake my head. Luckily,
Katie doesn’t press. “Well sir, I’d still appreciate it if you left the premises.”
“Whatever.” Then Jack basically sprints away.
“You okay, Kendall?”
“’M fine.” I mutter. I refuse to talk about this.
And Katie catches onto that. “Why don’t you clock out early? Don’t worry, I’ll take full blame.” Then she winks.
I smile slightly. Katie’s the best. “Thanks.”
“Have fun, darling. Happy Birthday.”
As I gather up my stuff and text Perrie and Eleanor to come over and help me with an outift, I can’t help but think to myself, I definitely need tonight.
