I didn't think it did. When I found out where I was from, was quite funny. I asked my.mom why I was and looked nothing like them.and the rest of the kinds. She was making macaroni. She just says, "cuz you're adopted". Just like that. Nothing else. Just flat and matter of factually. And thanks! I love yours! Also, I dont think it got awkward. Dont worry about it. You're good!
