Yay!!! I'm glad you'd read them. I've got a great idea for how to start the series of them. But am trying to be diligent on the next chapter. Me and my cup of ramen noodles are getting settled in for a long writing session...when did I flashback to college with ramen noodles, haha. Retail at the holidays have my sleep schedule jacked up, haha. Fingers crossed for tomorrow...I don't work again until Wednesday afternoon. Sooooo hopefully you'll see another chapter soon. And you will be the first person I tell when I have the one shot series started, haha.

I will have to check out your story! :) I'm not sure I intend on posting the other bits in this story. I want it to flow well and be its own piece. But also have a desire to write the first meeting and some of the things that led Annie and Harry to where they are. Something totally separate but the same characters so it's an option for a reader and not a chapter in the main story. I know I will post them on tumblr and will potentially post them here as well and just hope that readers who want to read both find their way to it. :) and thank you so much for reading this and letting me know what you think. Thankfully I'm off tomorrow and hope to bust out the next chapter. I had it started but totally felt I wasn't doinf justice to the characters or the reader for how I'd written the first date so it's getting a massive overhaul. Annie and Harry deserve so much more than I gave them. Haha.

I saw the Backstreet Boys last year on tour. And they still killed it. Haha. And absolutely! As long as the writing is good (which yours definitely is), I like reading it all. I have a harder time sticking with the story if the writing is all over the place. I just posted the beginnings of a new story - with an older female lead character as well. There have to be more of us than we know!

I didn't write Hanson fanfic. I totally wrote Backstreet Boys though. And then later in life it focused on punk and hardcore bands (mainly Good Charlotte). But I think it's kind of nice to bond over the good old days. Haha. And I'm gla you both love the story!! I hope that my story reaches a demographic that is underwritten for with this band. Also I'm thinking of doing some one-shots of some of the things that took place before the story began that tell the origin of Annie and Harry would you guys be interested in that??

You guys aren't alone! I'm 29, and obviously on here, and I'm excited to see where this story goes. (And I'm sure a lot of us that are around the same age used to write Hanson Fan Fiction haha). :)

I don't know, I don't think we really know quite enough about their relationship. . . Just the basic we pretended to want one thing but really wanted more and now one of them knows what they want... I almost think if I were her... I'd see how seeing Niall went and make nate squirm. Lol bc harry already basically said Niall isn't ready for what kim is... I like how nate confessed everything and how he seems and what he wants with her... but I don't know him well enough yet as a character to take sides. Haha If any of that made a bit of sense.

Haha. Sometimes technology does the weirdest things. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one in my age range who hangs out on here. And I totally agree about everything being a bit fan fictiony. Fifty Shades is a prime example.
So I have to ask because I'm pretty torn. What did you think of the last chapter with Nate's confession to Annie and Harry? I can only imagine how torn Kim will be when it comes to Nate and Niall. I'm trying to gauge people's reactions because it is honestly something keeping me up at night. Haha.

Haha and I understand what you're saying I used to write hanson fan fiction. . . Lol I would basically write short stories and I only ever really ended up posting a few online. I always wanted to write a full out chapter story but couldn't ever stay motivated enough. Also I kind of think even with regular romance of YA fiction book the writers tend to base characters with someone in mind... so everything is a little fan fictiony. ;-)

I'm 30 which I know seems relatively old for the fanfic/1D world but I accepted my cougar status over my love of Harry Styles ages ago, most of my friends love laughing and giving me endless shit for it. But they love me and my best friend loves me enough that she's going to see them next summer because I didn't want to go alone. I love to write and always have. I started writing fanfic before I knew what it was. I felt inspired to create these characters and do something I hadn't with using 1D as my inspiration. It's a challenge for me because of the difference in language with British English and American English as I am from the US. Plus it's extremely challenging to write from the male perspective in general let alone the mind of a 20 year old guy. I did this as a fun little exercise because sometimes I need to create something or I feel a massive void in my life because without it all I do is work and that gets old fast. I never imagined I'd make it past the blizzard weekend but I did and a friend encouraged me to post it online when I said I was considering it. I could never have dreamed of the response I'd get. Having so many views on here and getting a quiet response but a few likes on tumblr was way more than I expected. Reviews and encouragement like yours give me the desire to continue. I hadn't posted a story I'd written online in probably 10 years which just makes me feel entirely too old, haha. I think that a lot of the reason that there are poorly written stories is age, you are absolutely right. I've read some of the original stories I wrote when I was 14 maybe and they are dreadful. Like I'm embarrassed to see how terrible my writing was. But with age and practice I've gotten better - and with reading, I find I become a better writer the more books I read. A lot of it also takes being comfortable accepting criticism from people. I also think that there's still a stigma to writing fan fiction, though I've never felt particularly ashamed about it. My close friends know I do this, hell my Mom even has read some of this story. I know I started writing it because I wanted to imagine myself in this wonderful world in my head and day dreams weren't enough. Posting online can be intimidating. I've written thousands of pages in my life and only ever posted online twice for fear that someone would hate my writing and tell me that I sucked at what I love. But I got to the point that I stopped caring and wanted to know the good the bad and the ugly opinions on my writing so that I could improve. If no one ever read what I wrote I'd never be able to become a better writer. You seriously have no idea how much your words mean to me. My friends and family can tell me my writing is good but to have a complete stranger tell me they check daily for updates makes me so happy. To know that someone else thinks my talent is worthy of their time is unbelievable. I am trying to work on the next chapter right now actually. :) Considering that it's Christmas and I work in retail means that I'm at work all day but my unwinding at night is to drift in to the world of my characters. Hopefully I'll have enough to post tomorrow. Thank you again so much!!

It's no problem! I read everything in one day and now I check every day for updates. Lol I enjoy it so much. I have to ask.. how old are you? Bc I wonder if some of the more poorly written stories are due to age or English not being a first language. I'm intrigued. Bc like I said.. I've read tons and yours seriously is by far the most well written! ;-)

Thank you SOOO much!! Your comment made me happy dance. I'm glad you like Annie and Harry's interactions...I don't want it to seem like too much too fast but they don't have any hesitation about it being fast and they know it seems that way. And just so you know I too am completely torn about Nate and Niall. It's nice knowing I'm not totally alone. I want so badly for Niall to be happy and for it to be with Kim because I love their banter. But Nate blurting out how love basically whooped his ass makes me cheer for him too. I'm so glad you're loving the story. Thank you so much for reading and your kind words. Hopefully you like what's coming up. I'm trying to work on the next chapter but also realizing that sleep should be equally important considering I think my whole family is sick.

I love, love, love this story. Harry and Annie's interaction is fantastic. I am torn over Kim and Niall and Nate. She and Niall are quite sweet together, but Nate's confession tugged at my heart. Looking forward to more :-)

Thank you so much!! I have been a writer for as long as I can remember. Your compliment seriously made my day!!! I've been trying to develop the stories of everyone in a way that seems natural and honest. As well as something anyone might like to read. I am really excited about where I want to take the characters next and I hope you continue to enjoy the story. :)

This is by far one of the most well written and developed 1d stories I've read. I love it!
