I've been there, You know how many stores I ve started? 14. and only like 4 Ive kept, not including the 14 I put up and deleted. Now I just write to write and its a lot more fun the coping to he people to write what they want. Its such a rewarding sense of power when you write the story you want the way you want it instead of what the audience wants, ya know?

I would rate it R because of fuck being used in the story and self-harm and suicide, which are touchy subjects, so rate it R, probably.

Definitely rated R. I believe that if one is going to make a story in the range of life and death in general it should be rated at least PG, but since you are going to ad cursing and probably some graphic scenes in there, that would definitely bump your story up to an R. If you use those scenes in moderation, it should be fine. However, if in every chapter you have those really descriptive scenes, you should consider chaining the rating to a NC-17, but just use that rating with caution because if it is not quiet for that rating, it can really piss a lot of people off. When it comes to ratings, there is a really fine line between the two, just really examine your story. Or unless your dust DGAF you can rate it what ever the hell your hear desires! In all honestly, ratings don't really matter, and if you just go with whatever you think your story should be, than do it your way.

I admire the stories that go by that style

...though not many people take the time to think this way, you know?


Just whatever you do, don't list it something you know it is definitely not and if anyone calls you out for otherwise, just shake your head and carry on :)

Just a question. If your story has things like self-harm, depression, suicide, etc, what should it be rated? If it has self-harm and some cursing (fuck, bitch, etc) but no sex?
