Hi
@darkcutie187
Same... Everytime I try to talk to my cat he glares at me though... He gives me this 'I don't give a fuck that Harry Styles cut his hair' look...
I know right.....Talking with a cat gets soooo boring. In my case, I talk with my stuff animals :))
Trust me I know the pain of losing friends (them ditching you).
And I would loooooove to be your pen pal.
@darkcutie187
I'm bored too. I love making new friends!! I'll be one of your pen pals!
@JasperRenee
I basically ranted to my cat for at least 20 minutes about Harry cutting his hair and she looked at me like I was possessed. I probably was, the way I was yelling but at least she didn't run away from me!
@ChaoticRoads
Got so many stuffed animals...bit boring when they don't respond though, lol! I've had friends ditch me before, especially when I got into the boys. Almost socked one of the girls in the throat because she insulted Harry and I will clarify that I do not condone violence at all. I managed to keep my cool but I told her to fuck off because she was mean to my baby. Anyone who insults any of my precious boys, there'll be hell to pay...
All the love xx
@darkcutie187
I used to have a lot of friends but as the years passed they all left and only ONE loyal friend remained. I feel like those weren't real friends at all, so looking back at that doesn't make me as sad as it used to. I always love interacting with new people...I would love to talk to you xx
Don't judge me for this but I haven't tried mac and cheese ....yet.
@blankspace1
In my seventh grade when I first started obsessing over the boys a girl made fun of me for liking Niall because he used to wear braces and "wasn't that hot". We got into a pretty nasty fight and a teacher had to resolve the matter. I didn't talk to that bitch for like two years and we still aren't on good terms with each other....some people really don't know when to keep their mouth shut.
@starship
I was in Year 12, completing my final year of high school, when one of my friends insulted Harry. She said terrible things, that his hair was like rat’s fur, that he had terrible fashion sense, that he didn’t have a good voice. Oh My God, I was so close to punching the bitch. We’re not friends anymore because I’m not going to be friends with someone who won’t accept my taste in music and men. I told her his hair was glorious (even though it did need a good wash every now and then – his long curls continue to be the death of me), that his fashion sense was unique and eccentric, not terrible, and that his voice is beautiful. His high notes at the end of Drag Me Down, his solos in Hey Angel and If I Could Fly, his tone at the beginning of Stockholm Syndrome and Change Your Ticket. I could go on for hours just talking about his voice. You’re right. Some people just need to keep their opinions to themselves and not open their big fat mouths xx
@blankspace1
I wish I could talk to cats but my mother does not fancy the idea of having animals in the house. So I make it work by talking to stuffed animals or a random dog walking down the street.
That bitch who insulted Harry should have kept her mouth shut. It isn't nice going on and insulting the boys. Even though they are famous but still they are humans. They do have feelings. As for my friends, I actually bonded with a girl because of these boys. She was randomly singing Up All Night and I joined. She became one of my good friends but eventually we drifted apart. We don't talk anymore.
And to those who are so eager to give their 'opinions' (which in our case is insulting the boys), I would like to say that if you have nothing good to say, don't say anything at all.......
@ChaoticRoads
Shame :/ Even though animals can’t talk, they give some kind of response. My cat’s ears went back and her eyes were huge when I was ranting about Harry’s haircut to her. Frankly, it was hilarious!
She should have. If we weren’t in a public place, I probably would’ve said a lot worse than “fuck off.” Exactly. And fame hasn’t gone to their heads. They’re still so genuine and are wonderful human beings. They deserve to be treated nicely like everyone else. I’ve bonded with quite a few people from joining the One Direction fandom :) It’s a family here. Sometimes, you drift apart from friends, it’s just what happens.
I completely agree. Just keep your damn mouth closed and never open it unless you have something nice to say. I will not tolerate anyone insulting the boys for no reason at all xx
@blankspace1
Sorry, I'm late to the party but reading that thing about differing music tastes is so weird to me. Like, I can't be friends with people I feel try too hard (like, they try to be whatever they think will please the person around them). I had a friend in high school (haven't talked since we were 16) and she drove me nuts. If she hung out with me, she was scene/ emo (because that was my phase at the time). If she hung out with someone else, she was preppy. Another person, she was jocky. And one day she came at me with this band Tokio Hotel and was obsessed and I told her straight up that it sucked. Next thing I know, she fucking hates them and "piss on Bill! He looks like a woman!" and all this crap. And I didn't care when she liked them to begin with, I just thought it was shit. But I'm sure I have things I listen to she thought were shit. It pissed me off because for whatever reason she thought we HAD to have the same interests.
My best friend now has a way different taste than I do and while she thinks Ed Sheeran is the most original love-song-writer in the world, I tune it out with Rod Stewart. She can prefer Zayn Malik all she wants but I'd rather listen to the whole group (because in my honest opinion, they wouldn't have made it through the XFactor without Liam being able to carry all of them). It's so weird to me she can't accept your music taste >.> like, just shut up and turn on something you think is better when you get the aux chord next. Not everybody likes the same stuff, so just let it roll and don't worry about it. In fact, have fun trying to find artists you both can enjoy (that's how I introduced my Ed/Zayn friend to Panic! at the Disco and Pierce the Veil ballads, not the heavy stuff since she hates screaming).
And side note, Harry Styles' style is just a more normal version of Steven Tyler's wardrobe and since I love Steven's closet, I have no problem with Harry's either. Rock you some blouses and skinnys, Harry.
@Call_Me_Godot
Hey there! Believe me, I don’t understand it either. Many of my friends like My Chemical Romance and the 1975 but that’s not my thing and I don’t tell them those bands suck. I just say “I’m not into them.” So when someone downright says “One Direction sucks.”, it just pisses me off because I don’t say that about anyone else’s music tastes. And I’ve actually gotten three of my friends into 1D and Zayn. They’re not huge Directioners like me but they do enjoy their music. And it’s real music. I mean, come on, the boys have won 6 Brits, 5 VMAS, 6 Billboard Music Awards, 4 MTV Video Music Awards, 25 Teen Choice Awards. Now tell me they don’t make real music.
I still listen to Zayn but I prefer listening to the boys. I feel like Liam is a little underappreciated. Like everyone loves Harry. I’m guilty as charged; Harry’s my favourite but I love Liam so much. His vocal range is amazing and he’s such a great guy, he deserves more love. If you don’t like the band, keep your big mouth shut and listen to whatever you like. Simple as that.
I think the same thing. Harry can pull off anything so just leave him alone. No-one can rock those printed floral shirts like he can xx
I'm loving the comments on here.
So sorry to you guys about your friends - they suck! If people can't support you when it's comes to something like your taste in music then they are not worth spending your time on.
I was never a huge fan at the beginning - god I feel awful saying that here! Because I'm a little older, I liked some of their songs but I wasn't a super fan. Its funny because when they were on xfactor i loved them! But when they released a few songs i didnt pay much attention at the time. Until someone I worked with started playing their album and I found myself singing along. Then I bought their album haha and realised 'yeah I quite like this'. When their second album was released I then knew I was a Harry girl. Loved his voice, loved his look and just liked the whole cheeky image he had.
I also have a soft spot for Louis. .. something about him ;)
But they are all great singers and great performers. No one should ever be shot down for liking a band or artist.
I listen to Zayn - love his voice and music. I try not to pay attention to what the media write about him and the boys!
I wish Harry would release something. His voice literally melts me..
@xRock_Mex
They weren’t my true friends anyway. When that bitch insulted Harry, she crossed the line and I didn’t want to be near her anymore.
I wasn’t a fan from the beginning either! Not everyone in the fandom liked them from 2010. I knew them from the beginning but I never became a Directioner until the end of 2014, when FOUR was released. Then I was like “I’m a fully converted fan!” I’ve been a Harry girl ever since I listened to Stockholm Syndrome for the first time. And it’s only gone downhill since then, lol!
Yes, they are and I am so proud of how far they’ve come! If you don’t like their music, don’t listen to it. It’s that simple.
To me, Zayn and Harry have the best voices. However, the other three are amazing as well. It’s just something about the tones that Zayn and Harry have, their voices do something to me. I never believe anything that’s written about the boys unless one of them confirms a rumour etc. The rest is all bullcrap.
Me too, girl, me too! I need solo music from him right now! But I have a feeling he’ll drop music out of nowhere, just like he did with the magazine covers on Instagram. None of us will be prepared! xx
I spend all day with a toddler so I need people to talk to, too. Especially about One Direction. Lol
@blankspace1
I couldn't agree more. Their voices are beautiful, Zayn knows how to capture our heart. I think it's 18 that Harry captivate a me, I love the start. I always stop what I'm doing when it comes on haha.
There's nothing better than having a song that makes you feel something, plus it helps me write :)
Yeah Harry is very mysterious - makes me want more haha xx
@xRock_Mex
Zayn's voice in You And I and Harry's voice in Fool's Gold... Kill me now! Stockholm Syndrome's my mother's favourite so whenever it comes on, we always dance and sing to it together! I listen to a shit ton of music when I write, really good inspiration!
Very mysterious and a whole load of charming charisma, I need solo music, Harry! xx
Anyone wanna be internet friends because I'm bored with my life and want a pen-pal
I just wanna talk about mac and cheese and girl stuff (or boy stuff, not really picky) because all my 'friends' ditched me years ago and I've been deprived.
Idk man, I just wanna talk to someone other than my cat
