Dreams and wishes, page 2
I wish I could go to Julliard but my parent don't support music as a job so I will probably end up doing something boring despite me dreaming for forever to do music for the rest of my life
@Erin_Elizabeth_Direction
I think my dreams might be the slightest bit different than everyone elses:
Dream job: While other girls were putting on tutu's and dancing around, saying they wanted to be a ballerina, I would take a toy spaceship and fly it around. But, I would never, ever, want to be an astronaut. I am DEATHLY afraid of going into space. I was that weird kid, and, for as long as I remember, I've wanted to become an Aerospace Engineer. If any of you know who Wernher Von Braun is, then imagine his job as mine, and that would be my goal in life: to be as good at rocket scientistry as him. To put it short, he's my hero.
Dream school: This one's easy: California Institute of Technology, CalTech, or Nerd Central. I've heard all three, consitering I've been accepted into it this year (I'm a senior in high school). It might not have the sportiest bunch, but everything is so interesting, and everyone understands each other. We were the nerds of the school, the valedictorians who had their fair share of teasing. Well, now we all have equals we can go to, who understand each and everyone of us, something that have greatly missed in high school.
Dream Husband: Well, me, being a starting varsity athlete, burn more calories than I eat, and that's basically a nice way of saying I eat A LOT. So, I'm pulling a Niall here and saying I need someone who wouldn't make fun of me for my eating. I've dated people (well one person) who made fun of my weight and lead me to pre-anorexia, that's how much I wanted to change. I can't have someone who would do that to me, they need to accept every single thign that's wrong with me, and there's a lot of stuff, trust me. I need someone who cares about what I do for a living, and realizes how passionate I am about my job and other things I put my work into. He needs to have plenty of Harry hotness with a mix of Jack Harries and Shawn Mendes, I might add C:
Dream Anything: I want to live in Houston (I'd work at Houston NASA) in a bigger house in the (nincer obviously) suburb area of Houston. I would love a black labrodoodle named either Caspian or Leo, with 2 kids named Michael and Ellabree (she'd go by Ellie), and they'd be 2 years apart (Michael would be older)
Hope that wasn't too much!
Oh and @dontjockmystyles I would totally watch your Youtube videos!!!!!!!!!! You are so nice and sound hilarious!!!!!!!!!
@warmachinerox1
Wow, you sound a little smart! I couldn't understand half the stuff you were saying! I don't particularly like rocket science. But I love to meet a fellow nerd! :)
@Mayci Horan
I'm valedictorian for my grade (you probably wouldn't guess lol) and I have a 4.3 GPA. So yeah, I guess I'm a little smart. It's ok, most people don't understand what I saw ahahaha
Sorry, I sounded like such a preppy bitch there :C
I don't mean to brag, so sorry if anyone took that the wrong way.
@warmachinerox1
You're not bragging, you're proud and good freaking on you to! <3
It's so nice to see people stepping out of the mould on what is deemed 'appropriate'. Next semester, against my mom's wishes (or more say idealistic dreams compared to my brothers) I'm transferring into an Archaeology and Entomology major.
I'm sure as hell you'll get to do what you want to. DON'T GIVE UP! xx
@punkrockshow
Archaeology and Entomology is sooooooo cool, it sounds incredibly interesting! Good for you to step out and transfer! I was never the kid who wanted to be a singer, or a dancer, or an actress, or even a lawyer. I was that freaky rocket girl, and it's always nice to see others who step out of the bubble of typical female professions. Not that having a typical female profession is bad, I'm just quite strange compared to the norm.
@punkrockshow
NASA isn't really dragging in 17 year old girls who play varsity soccer and look for an Aerospace Engineering and Moderate Rocket Scientry internship C:
@warmachinerox1
Agreed! Anything men can do; we can do just as well and even damn better! Yeah; the degree will go nicely with the history major I'm currently completing. It might take a couple of years longer to get to where I want to; but I'm all for it.
& there is nothing about being a freaky rocket girl. Try being the freaky bug girl haha! I'm sure you're gonna get there. Honestly! Speaking of which; let me link you to something. See if you can watch this video.. the start is a little slow, but its all about girls doing awesome things.
@ShyGirlMeetsStarstruckBoys
Practical, level headed, handy -- I'd love to know how to weld. I can barely saw in a straight line because I'm not strong enough haha :/
@punkrockshow
Too late! All my friends are weak too! Lol! We're all the weak, nerdy, unpoular-and-don't-care croud. How about you?
@Mayci Horan
We honestly need to make a club. I was part of the bullied, smart, unpopular because we got good grades crowd. The 3 friends I had in high school, I still only have now.
@punkrockshow
I've seen nine year olds weld before.
So, that tells you, EVERYONE can do it. But, remember, don't just grab a welder and expect to be good at first. It takes lots of practice, and the willingness to mess up, and patience. LOTS of patience.
@lyrics.tell.my.story
I plan on going to Julliard. But, I'll look into living in Hawaii.
