Chapter 1: Batman and Robin
Sage’s POV
I walked through the messy kitchen and sighed seeing the huge pile of dishes next to the sink. Setting down my drink, I headed over to the sink to do the dishes but was startled by a knock at the door. Being home alone in the house creeped me out since mom died. I walked over to the door and opened it to see Liam standing on the porch.
“Forget your key?” I asked jokingly as I walked back to the kitchen with him following me.
“Yea, sorry.” He walked in and closed the door. “How was your day?”
“Pretty good, I made $250 just on tips tonight.” Being a waitress brought in a lot of money when you know how to do your job. “Are you okay?” He seemed kind of uneasy.
“Yea, I just haven't eaten in like 7 hours.” He sat on the counter and watched me do the dishes. “I’ll do those tomorrow if you make me something to eat.” He looked like he was begging when I looked at him.
“Okay.” I turned off the water and dried my hands off on the floral towel next to him. “Grilled cheese?” He nodded with a huge smile.
“Thanks Robin.” He hopped off the counter and walked over to me.
“You're welcome Batman.” I turned to him and was embraced in a hug. “Go get changed and it’ll be ready in a few minutes.” I nudged him toward the door before going back to making the grilled cheese.
Harry’s POV
“Good morning.” I mumbled walking into the brightly lit kitchen where everyone was already sitting.
“Morning.” Everyone mumbled back.
I walked over to the coffee pot and poured myself a huge cup before sitting down next to Louis. He was too busy texting his friend Alex to notice me but I didn't mind. Sage was the most awake one at the tabe and even she was about to fall asleep.
“So, plans for today?” She mumbled out with her chin in her hands.
“Everyone’s off today.” Niall answered grumpily.
“I know that.” She snapped back.
“Well.” They were even playing with each other, they were just grumpy and taking it out on each other.
“Hey, no. It’s too early for that crap.” Louis set his phone down and glared at them as he stood up and walked over to the kitchen. “We’re going out today.” He poured them coffee, handed it to them and sat down next to me again. “And good morning Harry, how’d you sleep?” Okay, I lied Louis was the most awake.
“Great, you?” I asked as enthusiastically as I could.
“I slept pretty well too.” He smiled and looked back at everyone else who seemed to be a little more awake. “I want to go skating.”
“Me too.” Zayn finally said something.
“I do too.” Sage added quietly.
“Really?!” Louis asked excitedly. They’d been teaching her to skate and she was really into it.
“Yea, why not?” She sat up straight.
“Let’s so on an adventure!” Louis was such a kid in so many ways. “We all can ride the bikes and bring our boards.”
“Sweet!” Niall was excited too. Okay, we all were.
“Let’s go get dressed so we can go.” Sage was the first to stand up.
