Changing My Life

"Are you sure mom? Are you sure?" I smiled down at the bouncing Emily and nodded, "Yes love, you're fine now."
Emily is finally feeling better and really wants to play with Thomas, being a very proud big sister she wants to make up for the time she missed when she was sick.
"But are you sure? I won't get him sick right? Mommy please be sure." I laughed and ruffled her hair. "I'm sure love, now come on we don't want to keep your brother crying now do we?" She nodded and we entered Thomas's nursery.
"Hurry up mom, don't let him cry." I laughed and hurriedly walked to the crib and picked him up.
"It's okay love calm down." I don't know if I said that to Thomas or to Emily. I sat down on his rocking chair and placed Thomas in a comfortable position in my arms and he started breast feeding while Emily sat down in front of me watching him like a guard dog.
"Emily Rose Payne, he's not going to break love. You can blink." She shook her head and kept her gaze fixated on Thomas making me chuckle.
"I missed so much momma." She said sighing. "Don't worry love, it has only been 3 weeks. He hasn't started walking or talking yet. You'll have plenty of time with him babe." I reassured her but she didn't seem convinced.
"What if not?" I sighed and looked down at Thomas who was done nursing so I placed him on my shoulder, fixed my shirt and started burping him. "Where is all this coming from babe?"
She shrugged and got up from the floor, "Come here." I placed her on my lap and she cuddled up to me rubbing circles on Thomas's back while I comforted her. "Don't worry love, you have a whole life time with Thomas. No one is going anywhere." She hummed in response and I continued to burp Thomas.
When he was done I placed him on the changing table and turned to Emily, "Ready to change him?" I asked and she nodded excitedly. "Go choose a onesie." She squealed and ran to Thomas's closet while I changed his nappy.
Liam has been in the studio all day and won't come home till tonight. He has been working really hard lately and I'm so proud of him. He has been working with lots of artists and has had lots of interviews and photo shoots lately. He's mostly in L.A. but for now he's in London due to his first solo song being released in a few days.
All the boys are on hiatus and they're all doing their own solo work. Harry has Dunkirk coming out in a month and he has just released an album, Niall has released 3 songs and has been succeeding a lot n his golf company and Louis has only released 1 song with Steve Aoki for now when his mother died but his album is coming out soon.
Liam on the other hand will release his song for the very first time this week, he has been wanting to release it for a while now but he's too nervous because it's so different from the other guys and from One Direction. I keep telling him it's amazing but he won't listen. Finally management has put their foot down and he's releasing it this Friday.
I, however, have stopped recording for now and started focusing more on the kids. I still write music sometimes and when I will someday go back to the studio I will release an album. But that is not going to be on my agenda for a while now.
When I finished changing Thomas's diaper, Emily ran back with the cutest onesie ever,
"Do you know what's written on that Em?" She shook her head at me and I laughed. "Here." I pointed at the words and she squinted her eyes. "If. You. Think. I'm. Cute. You. Should. See. My. Big. Sister." I told her slowly and she smiled. "Well that's true." She said with her hand on her hips and I laughed.
"Heck yeah it is." She's so sassy, worse than Freddie no worse than Louis and that's a lot of sass.
"Okay Emmy ready to help me ?" She nodded and I grabbed a chair for her to stand on. She climbed on it and rolled up her sleeves. Thomas was giggling at her making Emily and me laugh as well.
Emily laid the onesie on the changing table and I sat Thomas up, supporting his head, "Okay Em, open the buttons and put it through his head." She nodded and did as I told her. I laid Thomas down again and let Emily do the buttons again.
"All done." She cheered. I clapped at her effort making her smile even more. "Good job Em."
"Thank you mommy. Now can I play with him downstairs please?" I nodded and lifted Thomas up. "Yeah come on." She jumped down from the chair and I fixed some stuff in Thomas's room then we walked down stairs.
"Okay Em, be careful and if you need anything just yell. I'll be right over there." She nodded and I placed them both in Thomas's play pen. Immediately, Emily started entertaining Thomas with his toys and he seemed to enjoy interacting with his sister because he wouldn't stop giggling.
I walked over to the kitchen to check my E-mails when my phone rang it was Danielle. "Hi Dani."
"No Aunty, it me Fweddie." I giggled and shook my head at his innocence. "Well, hello Freddie. What are you doing with Danielle's phone?"
"I call you."
"Does Dani know?"
"Yeah." I could hear him lie right through the phone.
"Don't lie to me Freddie Reign Tomlinson." He sighed and I was trying so hard not to laugh.
"Sowwy, I just wanna see Thomas."
"Of course you can babe, let me just make plans with Dani okay?" He agreed and went to give Danielle the phone.
Meanwhile I opened my e-mails and started deleting the unimportant ones but a particular one caught my eye.
I opened it and started reading it when Dani picked up,
"Hey Ams, sorry Freddie took my phone again." I didn't acknowledge what she was saying because I was lost in reading the E-mail.
"Amy?"
"Oh my god." I said under my breath but Dani heard.
"Amy what's wrong? Want me to come over?" I nodded but then I remembered that she couldn't see me through the phone.
"Yeah." I chocked out from shock. "I'll be right there." I nodded and hung up still staring at the E-mail in front of me,
Dear Mr and Mrs Payne,
I hope this e-mail finds you well.
Due to recent events I'm sorry to inform you that your custody over Ms. Emily Payne has been taken up to court. The case will be you versus Ms. White, Emily's biological mother on the 20th of June, 2017.
Please contact your lawyer immediately to gather the evidence needed to fight against Ms. White. If you would need any help please contact me immediately, I will help you in any way that I can. I also have some evidence which you could use against Ms. White in court if you're interested.
I believe Emily is in good hands where she is now and shouldn't have to change her life again. The little girl has been through enough and Ms. White is not fit to take care of her but this is not up for me to decide which is why we have to leave it for the judge.
I do however reckon that you will win custody of little Emily due to the amount of bad evidence against miss white but again I am in no such place to say or promise such things.
