Changing My Life

Amy's POV
I woke up silently and stood out of bed gently out of Liam's grip so as to not wake him up. I got ready and went to the store real quick to get what I needed for Emily's surprise. I got back and placed everything in my room. I went downstairs and figured that's it's about time the boys will get up so I made breakfast. I then decided to see who's up via text. I'm so weird.

Niall obviously was first in the kitchen, followed by Harry and Louis. I gave them plates and brought mine, Liam's and Emily's aswell. Soon enough Liam and Emily made their way downstairs.
"Good morning" I said as Liam leaned down and kissed my forehead and gave me Emily.
"Morning babe"
"Good morning mommy"
"Hey princess, do you want to eat these ?" I said gesturing to the pancakes. She nodded her head eagerly and I fed her. When we were all done I sat Emily watching Dora in the living room with the guys while I made my way upstairs to grab the stuff and get started.
3 hours later
I was finished and I was satisfied. I just hope that Emily likes it and that it looks okay. I haven't done this since I got to London so I wasn't sure if it was good enough. I never considered myself good at it but I was always satisfied with the results.
I called everyone upstairs and stood in front of Emily's closed door.
"Ready ?" I asked them. They nodded excitedly. Once I opened the door their jaw dropped and Emily was so happy.
"Wow mommy did yuw do all whis ?" She asked. I nodded.
"Thank you Thank you, it's so pwetty" She said hugging me.
"Wow Ams you're really talented" Niall said.
"Yeah, this is so awesome" Louis said.
"I thought you said it was only a hobby, I didn't imagine it to be this professional" Harry said.
"Professional ? I'm no artist you know ?" I said as they admired the Sponge bob, Dora and Frozen characters on the wall.
"Babe this is so amazing, you're really good" Liam said hugging me.
"Well, I'm glad you liked it" I said.
4 days later.
These last few days I have been in the studio practicing for tonight's X factor. Everyone said that we perfected the performance and it couldn't turn out any better but no one can calm my nerves right now. In a few hours I will be performing for everyone and then I will be introduced as a new artist managed by The Simon Cowell. To be nervous is an understatement right now.
I didn't have rehearsals today so as to not panic that much or over strain my voice and my body from singing and dancing too much. I spent the day with Emily, Liam and the boys. We only have a few hours though because right after lunch we have a 2 hour drive, then sound check then makeup and stuff.
We got to the park I had Emily in her stroller and we were walking around. Once we got to the playground I set Emily down and placed her playing with some kids. She's such an out going baby, she makes friends easily. While Emily was busy talking with her new friends the boys and I were talking about tonight.
"Just remember, close your eyes and imagine you are singing alone, soon enough you will love performing in front of people. The adrenaline, the music, it gets you pumped up and you will feel like you belong there, trust me." Louis said.
"I hope I don't forget my moves or stumble on my lyrics or step on my background dancers or better yet fall off the stage after peeing myself." I had started to shake and ramble. Liam noticed and cupped my hands in his.
"Listen to me, you will do great, Louis's right you will love performing. Remember how you felt when you performed in front of us at that party ?" He said.
"Yeah but that was easy. I didn't have much pressure, there weren't as much people and I was looking at you directly the whole time" I said trying to stop shacking.
"Well then, I will join Simon at his seat and you can look at me the whole time, just forget the audience and focus on me" He said, I nodded biting my lip to prevent the tears.
We hugged and stayed chatting for awhile until we made our way to lunch and then back home. I picked an outfit for Emily and put it in a bag so I could dress her later. We drove the 2 hour drive. Emily took a nap in the car, I had headphones and was cuddling to Liam who was comforting me.
We arrived there and sat our stuff in my dressing room. All the boys had their own dressing rooms since they were going to perform as well. They were going to open the show and I was going to close it.
We were doing sound check, I was in the judges seats watching the boys goof off from stage with Emily. She was giggling in my arms watching as Harry and Liam were doing stunts, Louis was making silly faces at her and Niall was playing peak-a-boo with her from stage. These boys were so weird. After they finished they're songs, Liam and the boys switched places with me and took Emily as I went on stage myself. I waved at Emily and she giggled. I could hear her talk to the boys
"Look it's mommy" and pointing at me.
I took a deep breath and locked eyes with Liam and Emily and got through sound check. They gave me a thumbs up and I joined them.
"See, you managed" Liam said hugging me.
"Yeah I guess" I said shrugging. I was surprisingly less nervous.
"Mommy, mommy I saw yuw" Emily said reaching for me from Harry's arms. I took her from him and balanced her on my hip.
"I saw you too sweetie" I said placing a kiss on her cheek and she giggled. "I need you to be good for daddy and your uncles today. We are going to do that again tonight but there are going to be many people here and we are going to dress really nice."
"Otay mommy" She said burying her head on my shoulder and sucking her thumb. We went to our dressing rooms and hung around for a bit. The boys playing video games, Niall eating and me, Liam and Emily talking and playing. Soon enough 5SOS joined us and we introduced them to Emily. She was very attached to Michael. The hair. That girl is obsessed with hair, when she grows up I think she is going to notice a guy's hair first. Like how some people notice the eyes or the teeth, in Emily's case it's hair.
We hung around until the boys left for hair and makeup and to get dressed. While they were getting ready I dressed Emily in a pink puffy dress and did her hair in pigtails with little flower clips.
After the boys were done I left Emily with them and got ready myself. After hours of make up and hair and torture I was done.
We took many pictures and laughed at the boys goofing off while Lou their stylist, was running after them fixing their hair. Those boys are like 12 sometimes.
Soon enough the boys were called on stage because the show was about to start. Me and Emily stayed back stage watching their performance. It was my first 1D concert funnily enough and I was there with my two year old daughter watching my boyfriend sing as millions of girls screamed his name. But he's all mine and I'm all his. The boys sang 'Infinity','Drag me down' and 'Olivia'. After they were done we were watching the show from back stage.
My time had come and I was called to stand by as I had five minutes to go on stage. Me and my crew were given ear pieces and I was also given my bedazzled mic which Simon had made for me and then I heard him talk.
"I'm about to introduce on stage a new artist of mine, her name is Amy Rodriguez, she's an amazing singer. I hope you agree with me after you see her performance tonight. I know I made the right choice to sign her because she has a one of a kind voice. She has been rehearsing for this for a while, a round of applause for Amy." Simon said and before I knew it me and my dancers were in first position on stage. Lights dimmed, and the music started.

Everyone was cheering,I guess I made a good first impression. The boys were right about feeling good to be on stage. Once again we took our first positions for the next song and soon enough I started singing

I had this feeling of joy inside of me that I couldn't explain. It felt so good. Never in a million years would I have imagined this.
I took off from stage and was embraced by a hug from Liam.
"Mommy, mommy " Emily screamed gesturing for me to pick her up.
"Wow Liam, you guys were right. It felt so good to be on stage" I said out of breath.
Everyone congratulated me and soon Simon came up to me.
"Hey Amy, how did that feel ?" Simon said hugging me.
"That was great, I never imagined I would ever be able to do this." I excalimed.
"Did you see their reaction? They love you" he exclaimed.
"Yeah, I still can't believe it. It felt so great" I said honestly.
"That's great to hear, Now, we have a few interviews, so we better get going" He said.
"Oh okay, bye guys see you later" I said kissing Emily's cheek and handing her over to Liam as I walked with Simon.
"You are going to announce your relationship with Liam and your daughter in the interviews, are you ready ?" He asked.
"Yeah, I guess" I said.
We made it to a room were I met an interviewer named Mary. We introduced our selves and soon enough I was at my first interview.
"Hello viewers, I'm Mary and today I'm joined by Amy Rodriguez and Simon Cowell. Hi guys, how are you doing today ?"
"We're fine thank you" Simon said. I just smiled.
"Amy is a new artist that Simon has just signed. She had her very first performance tonight on the X factor and might I say you were amazing."
"Thank you" I said.
"So, Simon. What made you decide to sign her ?"
"Well, obviously after hearing her amazing voice, I couldn't let such talent slip out of my hands. Her voice is unique, it's like Demi Lovato and Adele combined but still has its own uniqueness in it as well."
"Amy, how did you feel when Simon wanted to sign you ?"
"I was very excited when I got the call that Simon wanted to meet me and was very happy that he wanted to sign me. He made my dream to become a singer come true."
"Have you always had a love for music ?"
"Yes, since I was 6 I had started singing alone in my room and then in school concerts. Everyone would say how beautiful my voice is and now I ended up here" I lied I couldn't let them know about my stage fright, I wasn't going to embarrass myself.
"Okay, do you have any love interests in your life ?"
"Yes, I have a boyfriend, Liam Payne. And a daughter named Emily." I said smiling.
"You're dating Liam ?" I nodded and smiled. "That's great. Is Emily your's and Liam's biological daughter ?"
"No we adopted her. We found her at the movies and she said she ran away from an orphanage. She said that she didn't want us to take her back there because they beat her and later on we figured out that they also starved her, she's only two. So we took her to watch Frozen and we didn't have the heart to send her back there. We had grown to love her in 2 hours, she has that effect on you. She's so adorable and out going and lovely. So yeah, we adopted her" I said.
"That's so sweet of you and Liam. You are a very amazing person to have saved a child's life from such horror. I noticed your accent is not British, aren't you from here ?"
"No, I'm originally from Malta but I moved here to further my career and so far I've succeeded."
"Don't you miss your family ?"
"Indeed I do, but I can never see them again because they're all dead. My family now is the 1D boys and my daughter." I said.
"Oh so, sorry to hear. Well I'm glad that you found a happy life here. Congratulations on your new life and your career as well as your relationship with Liam and mother hood. That's all we have time for today, tune in next time." And with that my first interview was done. Everyone now knows about my life.
My next interview consisted of the same questions and I ended up saying the same stuff.
When I got home it was like 3 am. Liam had put Emily to bed and he was waiting for me in the living room.
"Hey babe, I watched the interviews. You were great" He said.
"Yeah.Thanks. We're officially public now." I said.
"Yeah come here, lets chooses some pictures and upload them." He said gesturing for me to join him on the couch.
"How about that one and this one" We chose a couple from our first date and some with Emily and the boys. We put them on Instagram and Twitter and we got feedback immediately. We didn't bother looking at the comments though because we were both exhausted so we went upstairs and dosed off to a peaceful slumber until the next day.
