Changing My Life

Amy's POV
After last night, I became the most happiest girl I could ever be. After I texted Liam, Ashley came up to my room and we talked about my date and her date with Harry. She left early todayand I fell asleep yet again.
Soon after I woke up to a message from Liam

I got up and got ready. I don't know how to react when I see him. I plopped on the bed and soon enough he knocked on my door.
"Come in"
"Hey babe, breakfast is served" He said grinning.
He gave me my plate and sat next to me. We ate in silence until I broke it.
"So um, what movie are we gonna see tonight ?"
"Oh, I don't mind. You choose." He said. He's so sweet, always putting me first.
"Oh I don't mind either really. Being with you is enough" I said and he smiled.
We finished and set our plates on the bedside table. He got under the covers next to me and pulled me closer to him. We stayed there cuddling for awhile, he was playing with my hair and it was very relaxing. The silence wasn't awkward, it was very nice just to be with him and have him close to me is enough. No words needed to be said, we both know how we feel. Nothing could take this happiness away from me.
I lifted my head from his chest and stared deep in his eyes. Soon enough we both leaned in. Our lips moving in sync. It was so passionate, so filled with love. A perfect love. We pulled away and just cuddled all day saying random stuff about ourselves.
"I love surfing, it makes me feel alive kinda. The water and the sun, it helps me relieve stress."
"I can't swim. I know how but I can't do it. The fear of drowning never leaves my head."
"I like lazy days, I could just chill and think."
"I love movies but I kinda fall asleep watching them. I don't know why."
"Haha, are you gonna fall asleep tonight then ?"
"What ? no. I meant if I watched them on my laptop. The movies I can handle because I'm in public plus I don't do it often but in bed with my laptop I fall asleep." We both laughed.
"I love bowling, we should go sometime"
"I've never been bowling so I kinda suck"
"You can't suck at what you never tried. First you have to give it a shot to see if you suck or not"
"True"
A doorbell interrupted our thoughts. We decided to go downstairs and see who it was. The boys were already at the door.
"Oh, great. Just the person I wanted to see. Amy ! darling, we need to chat" It was my manager Alex.
"Oh sure. Come in." I led him to the living room. Liam and the boys excused themselves and left us to chat.
"So, here's your schedule for upcoming events and rehearsals. We need to discuss when you will do a performance in front of a bigger crowd" I examined the schedule and saw that I have a party to perform at every Saturday for the next 3 weeks.
"Umm ... okay" I didn't know what to say.
"The boys are doing their first concert in 2 months. Simon wants you to start by being their opening act. We also discussed that before that, you will perform at the X factor which is this Saturday so that Simon could introduce you to the world. How does that sound ?"
"Umm ... Great. So I'm going to be One Direction's opening act ?" Wow, this is getting so surreal.
"Yeah, we're going to start small, like you discussed with Simon. Soon enough we'll be organizing your tours. But you will spend a year on tour with the lads as their opening act first. To get used to touring and performing." Oh my God. This can't be real. I'm going to be with Liam this whole time doing what we love together.
"This is amazing. So rehearsals start tomorrow ?"
"Yeah, be there at 10. I have to go see you tomorrow" He said getting up to leave.
I took him to the door, closed it and squealed like the teenage girl I am.
"What has gotten you so excited?" Niall asked. I turned crimson red. They saw that, so embarrassing.
"I am going to be touring with you guys as your opening act for a whole year" Their faces turned to huge grins. They engulfed me in a group hug then Liam hugged me.
"That's so amazing. We're going to be singing together" He said grinning.
"That's not all. I'm going to perform on the X factor this Saturday and Simon is introducing me to the whole world" They got even more happier and hugged me again.
"That's awesome" Louis said.
"Yeah but I'm really nervous. It's going to be the first time in front of a huge audience"
"Don't worry love, we'll help you settle your nerves. Lets go sing for a bit yeah ?" Harry asked.
"Yeah we can start now" Niall exclaimed.
I wasn't able to respond because they dragged me there.
"Okay, I think you should focus on the music. Get lost in the rhythm and your voice, forget the crowd." Louis said.
"Here, sing for us" Liam said giving me a mic and gesturing to the stage.
I sang 'For the Love of a Daughter'. When I was finished they cheered. During the song I closed my eyes, trying to follow their advise, I made as little eye contact as possible.
"See, how was that ? You sang perfectly." Liam said.
"I followed your advise and picture myself alone in my room. It felt really good" I said.
"Great, wanna try another one ?" Before I could answer Liam's question the doorbell interrupted us.
It was Ashley, that means its 5 and I haven't showered. Crap.
"Hey Ash" I said.
"Hey, why aren't you showered already?" She said furrowing her eyebrows.
"Sorry, that's our fault. Got lost in rehearsals" Louis said.
"That's okay, let's go" She said dragging me to my room. I smiled at Liam and made my way upstairs.
I showered and got ready in short jeans and a top.
She put light make up on me and put my hair in a side fishtail braid.
I went downstairs next to Liam and the boys. Ashley joined them on the couch.
"Ready ?" I nodded.
We left and got in the car. We talked about what genre we would watch and decided on either romance or comedy.
When we got there our car was surrounded by paparazzi. I didn't know what to do and started to panic.
"Listen to me, put your head down and ignore the comments and questions. I will open your door for you, don't let go of my hand" He said. I took a deep breath and nodded. He got out and opened my door. I listened to him and held his hand tightly he noticed my nervousness and squeezed my hand reassuringly. I kept my head down and didn't answer any questions. I could hear them say the meanest things, I just wanted to break down. But not now, I had to be strong.
"What's your name ?"
"Are you two dating ?"
"Who is that bitch?"
"She's so ugly"
A little girl made her way to me and I bent down to her level.
"Can yuw hewp me pweese ?" She asked me trembling.
"Of Course sweetie, come with me. " She took my hand and held it firmly. Liam was pulling me and I was pulling her. We got in and security kept the paparazzi and fans out.
"Where's your mommy sweetie ?" She was about to burst to tears so I hugged her.
"It's okay, shhh" Liam was next to me helping me calm her down. She was so small.
"How did you come here, honey ?" Liam asked her.
"I-I wan awway" She said crying in my arms.
"Do you want to go home ? I can take you if you want" He offered but she sobbed even more.
"N-no t-they w-will h-hit m-me" She said. My heart broke.
"Who sweetie ?" I managed to ask.
"T-the people a-at the orphrage" She ran away from an orphanage. Oh my god.
I looked at Liam, he had sad eyes.
"What are we going to do ?" I whispered. He shrugged.
"What's your name sweetie ?" I asked.
"E-emiwy" She said. "I'm Amy and this is Liam"
"How old are you ?" Liam asked her, She held up 3 fingers and said "two". I fixed her fingers and said "that's two sweetie".
"Do you want to watch a movie with us ?" He asked her and I was confused but happy we won't take her to that sick orphanage just yet. I wanted to take her home but I knew Liam would think I'm crazy. She nodded and we led her to the booth.
"C-can w-we watch thwaat ?" She said pointing to Frozen "she weally pweety" she probably didn't know what it was. I nodded excitedly. I pretended she was Liam and I's kid. We would make a cute family.
Liam got the tickets and we bought popcorn and drinks.
"N-no f-food fow Emily. F-food fow big kids" she said. I wanted to cry, this kid has been through hell. I can't take her back. A tear slid down my cheek and I picked her up.
"No more bad things will happen to you. You can eat food and no one will ever hit you" I told her. She nodded and we went in the theater. During the movie she looked so happy and engrossed in the film, she ate her popcorn and mine. I don't think she has eaten in a long time.
Liam saw me looking at her and admiring how happy we made her with just popcorn and a movie. He whispered to me
"We'll take her home and call the cops on that orphanage. No one abuses our child"
He called her our child. He hasn't even asked me to be his girlfriend yet. How am I gonna raise a kid with our job ? What about tour ? What will Simon say ?
"How are we gonna raise a kid when we have tour coming up, what will Simon say ?"
"We'll make it work, Louis has a kid and he makes it work. Simon's okay with Freddie he will be okay with Emily"
I smiled at him and kissed him. I love him so much, he always knows what to say. But I'm still scared.
"Liam, what if I'm not a good mother ? I'm barely able to take care of myself. "
"You have been through hell and back, you are strong and determined. Yes you can do this, you will make the perfect mother." I smiled and nodded, kissing him again.
"I wanted to wait til the end of tonight, I planned this for a while. Here goes ... " What's going on ?
"Will you be my girlfriend ?" He asked, I nodded excitedly and kissed him. He pulled away smiling showing me a beautiful, very expensive necklace with a heart and it was engraved A+L.
I grinned more and blushed. He put it on me. Emily was staring at us smiling since the movie had ended but we hadn't noticed. I showed her my necklace and she grinned.
"It's pwetty." She said.
"Thank you". I turned to Liam.
"Do you think we should tell her that we are adopting her ?" I whispered. He nodded.
"Emily, sweetie" I said. She looked at me.
"Do you want to live with us ?" I asked. She grinned then looked petrified, I was confused.
"W-will i-it huwrt ?" That broke my heart.
"No sweetie that will never happen again, ever. We love you." I said tears threatening to spill.
She hugged me and we left the theater to go home, thankfully the paparazzi and fans were gone. We still had to go to the orphanage though.
"Emily ?", I said turning to face her in the car. "We are going to the orphanage to get your things and sign some papers to adopt you". She did not look happy at all when I mentioned the orphanage.
"I down't hawve anwy thinwgs" She said.
"What do you mean ? What about toys and clothes ?" Liam asked.
"No toys and clowthes for Emiwy, onwy big kids" I was about to cry, Liam noticed and squeezed my hands.
"Oh okay, we will buy you many toys and clothes tomorrow. But we have to go to the orphanage to sign some papers so that you can come home with us. Can you show us the way please ?" Liam said.
"Otay" She told us the directions and we parked in front of the building. I got her out of the car and we made our way in. She had a tight grip to my shirt, scared I will leave her there.
"Hello we would like to adopt this little girl, please" Liam said.
"Emily, you brat. You left again. You will surely be punished for this." She said to her. She turned to us and said "I'm sorry she bothered you, let me show you some better kids than her, you surely don't want a rat like her." She spat. I just wanted to punch her straight in the face. Emily whimpered in my arms and covered her face with her little hands.
"No need, we want her. Where can we sign please ?" Liam said, I could see he was pissed at her."Well if you insist." She got out some papers and we signed them. We left the building and got in the car.
"Don't worry Emily, you will never see that woman or come here ever again" I cooed to her as I sat her on my lap in the car. We drove home, Emily was asleep.
"I'll watch her tomorrow while you're at rehearsals. When you come back we'll go shopping." Liam told me while driving.
"Thanks Liam, when will we tell Simon ?" I told him.
"I'll call him tonight, it's still 8 so we have time. Then I'll call the cops on that orphanage no one deserves to be treated like that" He said. "Don't worry everything will be fine, love" I smiled at him.
"I love you Liam"
"I love you too"
We arrived home and I carried Emily inside. The boys and Ashley gave us weird looks and mouthed 'who is she ?' and pointed to Emily asleep in my hands. Liam mouthed 'I'll tell you later' and we went to my room. I set her on my bed and tucked her in, we both kissed her forehead and left the room. We returned to the boys and Ashley and explained everything.
"I'm glad that she has you guys as her parents" Niall said and they all nodded in agreement.
We smiled at them and then Liam decided to call Simon. He put him on speaker and we all stayed silent. Liam grabbed my hands as we waited for him to pick up.
"Hello"
"Hi Simon, this is Liam"
"Hi Liam, what's up ?"
"Umm.. I have to tell you something important"
"Okay, I'm listening"
"I took Amy on a date to the movies and when we got there we were surrounded by fans and paparazzi, Amy was approached by a two year old girl who asked her for help so we took her inside the theater where it was safe and offered to take her home but we learnt that she ran away from an orphanage where they don't feed her and beat her. We couldn't take her there so we took her to watch a movie with us. We didn't have the heart to send her back so we adopted her."
"Is that it ?" Simon asked surprisingly calm.
"Yeah" Liam said nervously waiting for his reaction to all this. I squeezed his hand and then he spoke.
"Well it is very early in your relationship to have a kid and also having Amy's career taking off and starting tours and all, but ... " He paused. "That is the most sweetest thing I have ever heard. I'm proud of you both, I'm glad you did it. You'll make amazing parents for sure." I was shocked and so was everyone else. After a while Liam spoke
"Wait so you aren't mad ?"
"No, of course not. I'm proud of you, you saved a little girl's life. Don't worry we'll make things work with schedules and you can bring her to work with you anytime. I really want to meet her."
"Thank you so much Simon, we'll bring her over tomorrow. Is that okay ?"
"Yes, I can't wait to meet her. Careful of the paparazzi for now. It's best you announce your relationship first. I will be watching Amy's first rehearsals tomorrow so bring her over. You and the lads can all come."
"Thank you so much Simon, see you tomorrow good night".
"Bye Liam"
I can't believe that happened. I'm a mother, I have a boyfriend. I have my dream job. Sure me and Liam just started our relationship but we're mature enough and we love each other. My life is perfect. I hugged Liam and kissed him. He smiled at me and said
"You'll make a great mother, I love you"
"And you'll make a great father, I love you too"
We kissed again and everybody awed and congratulated us. We watched a movie until we heard screaming. I told them I would go so I bolted upstairs and found Emily in a ball sobbing.
"Hey, sweetie what's wrong ? Bad dream ?" I asked approaching the bed were a ball figure laid under the covers. She lifted the covers and revealed her tear stained face
"Emily b-bad guwl, Emily punished, hit, hit" she said sobbing smacking her head.
"No sweetie, you're a good girl. I've got you, no more hitting" I said taking her hands in mine.
"No m-more ?"
"No sweetie, I love you I will never hit you" I said rocking her.
"Otay" I cried, I couldn't hold it anymore. I cried and held her close to me.
After a while she stopped crying and so did I.
"Go to sleep honey, tomorrow you'll meet your uncles"
"Otay, goodnight Amy."
"Good night sweetie, I love you" I said tucking her in. She sucked her thumb and drifted off to sleep.
I went downstairs and told them what happened.
"You can sleep with me tonight babe if you want" Liam told me. I nodded and rested my head on his shoulder. I am proud that I have fixed myself and saved someone's life. I couldn't be any happier.
