The Contract

Dani's P.O.V.
It's only been a couple of weeks since Luke and the boys left and life is practically back to normal.. Minus the few paps that follow me occasionally. Rae and I are getting our own place so the boys can come over whenever and not bother our parents.
"Dani."
"Rae."
"Are you ready to go? The realtor is meeting us soon."
"I'll meet you at the car."
I was off in my own little world of the twitter space.
"Suit yourself, but hurry up." she scoffed.
I was trying to find everything I could on Vanessa and Arzaylea, but wasn't really getting anywhere since they happened so long ago.

"Here we are." Rae smiled.
We pulled up to a beautiful town home by the lake.
"Wow."
"Let's just hope the inside is just as amazing." Rae replied, getting out of the car.
"Hello, ladies." Sheila smiled. "Ready to see the inside?"
"Very." We both replied.
"Oh, excuse me." Rae said as her phone rang, "Mikey! Just in time, go get Luke, we'll show you what we're looking at." she smiled, although not on face time yet. "Let's go." she told Sheila and I.
"Alright here we are." Sheila smiled, opening the door. "Take your time."
"Wow." We all gasped together.
"What do you guys think so far?" Rae asked.
"Keep going please." Mikey spoke.
"Hi babe!" Luke shouted in the background.
"Hello!"
After seeing the whole house and the view of the lake we all agreed this place would be amazing.
"Well, we have paperwork to do and we'll talk soon." Rae started. Since we can't say 'I love you' to one another "yet" we awkwardly ended the facetime.
"Ready to make a deal?" Sheila asked.
"Very." I replied.

Rae and I went home to pack everything up and of course paps had followed us today, so it's all over that we're getting our own place. In the midst of packing Rae and I collapsed on my bed back into the twittersphere. Instead of following what we had done today, I was back to looking at what happened between Vanessa and Luke, and Arzaylea and Luke.
"Look up the devil and she shall appear." I spoke.
"What?" Rae asked, but before getting any further Ryan and Ness walked downstairs.
"Hey!" Ness smiled, "Thought we could help.
"We're almost done, we just got caught up in the news." Rae replied.
"It happens." Ness sighed.
"Hey, can we talk?" I asked aloud, but directed to Ness.
"Sure!" she exclaimed before stepping out of the basement door. "So what's up pretty lady?"
Ugh, why does she have to be nice?
"I was just wondering what happened between you and Luke."
"Ah, well we're better as friends and I couldn't see marrying him. If you ever find it on the internet it may say he chated, or I did, or something nuts, but that's not the case. Luke is the sweetest guy I've ever met."
"What about Arzaylea?" I asked.
"Well now that's what you'll find on Twitter. Late April, Coachella, HUGE mess. Having trouble finding it right?" I nodded, "Thank management. She cheated on him. So discrete she and the other guy posted pictures in the same clothes not more than 24 hours apart. If you thought the contract was strict, you can thank her if you ever see her."
"Wow."
"Also why Luke is shy, reserved, and gaurded. Dani... Please don't hurt him."
"I won't."
"Dani."
"Yeah?"
"I think you're his one."
"I think he might be mine." I smiled, before taking her back inside.
"So, we think we should move things tonight as sneaky as possible." Ryan spoke.
"We can try." Ness and I both replied.
Well that was odd.

After a couple hours we finally got every last box and piece of furniture we could into the house.
"I'm exhausted." I yawned.
"Me too." Rae replied.
"Sleepover?" I asked, although Ry and Ness were already asleep on our couch.
"Guess so." Rae chuckled.
I drug myself to my new room, in my new house, without Luke.
*phone rings*
"Luke!"
"Hey beautiful!"
"I miss you so much." I almsot began crying.
"Hey, it's okay. I get a small break sooner than you think and I'll make sure to come by and just hold you all day."
"I literally can't wait."
"You'll have to." He chuckled, "Now get some sleep."
"This is over just like that?"
"I've got sound check soon and I can hear you falling asleep."
"Ugh."
"Hey, I promise."
"I promise." I spoke, before the line went dead.
What an awful feeling.
My phone buzzed again. Snapchat from Luke. I smiled, then replied.
*The next morning*
If I thought last night was rough waking up in the morning was even harder. The headlines all read 'Luke and Arzaylea back together?'
"Rae!" I screamed, but everyone came running.
"Dani, it's okay." Rae calmly spoke, pulling me into her arms.
"What's going on?" Ness asked.
Rae showed her everything and she joined in the hug.
"It's just paps BS." Vanessa tried to calm me down.
"Let's call Luke, sweetie." Rae began, but my phone was already ringing.
"Dani." Luke's voice spoke.
"Is it true?"
"No." he replied.
"Tell me."
"No, Dani I swear. She just came to the show, I had no idea. Then she got backstage, that's it."
"It better be, or so help me."
"Dani, management is pushing my free schedule so we can counter these headlines with us, I need you. Please?"
I sat in silence for a moment, "Okay." I hung up before anything else.

Luke's P.O.V.
"Rob, we need to talk." I growled, walking into his office.
"Oh?"
"This contract isn't going to work if you throw curveballs like that in our face."
"People loved you and Arzaylea."
"Were we living in the same world? No they didn't."
"We'll see how this headline goes over, compared to you and Dani later."
"And if they magically love Arzaylea more?"
"We'll talk. You have a plane to board."

Dani's P.O.V.
I showered off the morning and got ready for a girls day with Rae, unfortuantely with the contract written the way it is, Vanessa can't come out with us, but we could run into her. Hollywood drama.
We spent the day shopping and getting food. Just when it was all coming down and we were heading home Mikey called Rae, so we went to our seperate rooms. I put Sounds Good Feels Good on and put all my new things away. I thought I was going crazy, but I started hearing rocks hit the window. I hesitantly walked over to my balcony doors.
"Rapunzel, Rapunzel!" Luke called from the shore.
"Luke Robert Hemmings, what the hell are you doing?"
"I have pizza and drinks. Are you gonna let me in?" he chuckled.
"You can climb." I smirked, and that he did, with 2 pizza boxes and sparkling cider. "Wow. My monkey man." I laughed.
"I liked the front door idea." he smirked.
"After this morning you deserve it."
"Dani, are you okay I heard-- Luke. I heard... Luke." Rae spoke.
"Hi." He smiled, looking down in a sort of shame.
"I'll leave you be." she froned.
"Couldn't bring Mikey for her, huh?"
"They haven't hit bumps in the road yet."
"Yet?"
"Contract. Pizza?"
"Pizza."
"I like what you've done with the room, maybe when we're done you'll show me the rest of the place?"
"Of course." I smiled.
We didn't make it to the house tour since we fell asleep from a food coma and the comfort of each other. I miss Luke.
