The Contract

Luke's P.O.V.
Dani really let me in, but I really let her in. I love this girl more than I have ever loved anyone else, but I don't know if I could open up the same way and still be calm and collected. As dark as her past may be, mine was darker.
"Luke?" Mikey asked.
"Yeah?"
"You okay?"
"Yeah, sorry. I was thinking about my day with Dani yesterday."
"I know the feeling." Mikey smiled.
"Whoa. You smile now?" I joked.
"Rae is just so amazing. I told her I love her."
"I told Dani as well." I replied with a grin.
"This may just be the second best thing to happen to us." Mikey indulged.
"Maybe." I chuckled.
"Guys. We gotta talk." Rob spoke.
"What's up, boss man?" Mikey asked.
"THis." He spoke, throwing down the magazine, "Michael. You were caught saying 'I love you' in public far before the contract states. Now these are the tabloids. Quote- 'love already?' 'is it really love, or lust?' 'moving too fast?' get the picture?"
"If we love them, we love them, why does it have to be so strict?" I asked.
"You signed the contract, so did they. You signed up for this, so start sticking to the rules." he spat, before leaving the room.
"Well that was fun..." Michael spoke softly.
"Do you ever regret any of this?" I asked, very let down.
"This is our dream, Luke." Mikey sighed, before walking out of the studio.
My phone vibrated-
D: Dinner?
L: With you? Sounds amazing.

I pulled up to Dani's house shortly after getting her text. As I walked up to the door, my heart raced. Just the meer thought of her makes me feel whole.
"Hello, handsome." She smiled, opening the door in a stunning red dress.
"Wow."
"Speechless?" she chuckled.
"You take my breath away." I spoke, before pulling her in for a kiss.
She pulled back slowly, leaning her head to mine.
"Ready?" I asked.
"Ready." she smiled.
As we walked into the restaraunt everyone stared. Dani was the light of everyone's night, and that's with the pap lights that found us.
"So are you ready for your last night here in Colorado with me?" She asked, my heart dropped.
"I can't say I am, but I'm ready to gaze at you all night."
"Oh, stop it Hemmings."
"Never." I blushed.
It's going to be a long 3 months of time without Danielle. I just hope she stays...
Dani's P.O.V.
Luke is gawking at me, but I'm adoring him. That smile, those eyes, the accent. He makes me melt. This will be the last night I spend with him before millions of girls are crying over being in the same room and his attention is lost.
"So, about what I said last night." Luke began.
"Oh?"
"We aren't at that stage of the... you know... yet."
"Ah." Well that hurts...
"It doesn't mean I don't, by any means. God, I do. Mikey just got in a lot of trouble for saying it in public."
"Wow, this... thing... Is strict."
"Very." He sighed.
"That's okay, I know you do, you know I do. And there's always texts."
"Clever girl." He chuckled.

As I lay in bed skin to skin with Luke reality started sinking in. He's leaving. This is the last I'll feel him for a while. I may get to fly to certain concerts, should the contract allow me, but other than that nothing but facetimes, and texts.
"Dani?"
"Hmm?"
"Are you okay?"
"I'm just going to miss you."
"I'll miss you too. Every second of every day."
"You'll be working and have a million screaming girls giving you attention."
"None of them amount to you."
"Don't say that, they mean the world to you."
"They do, but it doesn't change how I feel. I chose you; you chose me." Luke comforted.
"Promise?"
"Promise."
I lightly drifted into a comforted sleep.
My peaceful slumber was too quickly ripped away from me when I felt Luke getting up and ready. My stomach turned. Soon, I slowly got myself up to say goodbye.
Luke and Mikey gave mom and David and thank you, and hugs before turning to Rae and I.
"I promise." Luke spoke, before kissing me passionately.
"I promise." I replied, before reluctantly letting go.
