I ran out of my seat to go get the pizza from the delivery guy.
I opened to see a very familiar face.
"Um that will be $20.87." he said looking down.
I grabbed the money out if my pocket and held it out for him.
"I know you from somewhere." I whispered he looked back up at me his big brown eyes looking into my eyes. I squinted my eyes then I knew who it was.
"nathan?" I whispered.
"long time since I have seen you Bree." he said quietly. I stood there shocked. What is Nathan doing in California
"Breanne what's taking so long?" I heard Harry yell.
"NATALIE! FAMILY INTERVENTION NOW!" I yelled. I looked back and Nathan and lowered my voice. "come on inside." I said moving out of his way. He slowly walked in, Natalie was coming from the living room when she made eye contact with Nathan she ran toward him and gave him a hug. Tears were coming down her face I heard her whisper
"I have missed you baby brother." I stood there happy that her and her brother are getting along, I take the pizza and bring it to the living room to the boys and girls.
"what happened?" Liam asked.
"ohh something. I'll be right back me and Natalie have some things to talk about." I said setting down the pizza. I walk quickly back to where Nathan and Natalie were at. They were now sitting down at the table. I sat down,
"so Nate what brings you here to California shouldn't you be back in Texas with your mom?" I asked. He looked sad, his eyes were brimming with tears.
"well, I came to California because I got my girlfriend pregnant." he started.
"Woah Woah Woah wait." I said putting up my hand. "you ran away because you got your girlfriend pregnant?" I asked.
"well no. Me and Jessie ran away together, because if my mom found out she was pregnant I was going to be killed... Literally." he said putting his head down because he was ashamed. Natalie put a hand on his shoulder.
"Nate I doubt mom would kill you." she said softly. He pushed her arm off
"you don't know that! She beat me when you left. She got drunk every night and what happened to me? Well when she's drunk she's angry. And what would she do? she would be beat me! No matter what I did!" he yelled. "I would have to go to school in a long sleeve shirt and pants so people wouldn't see the bruises. The ones on my face I would just I got into a fight." he said in a normal voice. I understand what he means by having to wear long sleeve shirts and pants everyday. Because I don't need people to see my ugly scars.
"I know how you feel." I said quietly. His head snaps up.
"you know how I feel? You know how I feel?!" he screams.
"yes I do Nathan! My fucking boyfriend beated me! My mom left me like I was nothing to her! So yes I know how you feel! Don't try to act like you are the only person that feels like this!" I said angrily I felt tears coming to my eyes. "I was made fun I'm school after the boys left because they were my only friends besides Natalie, so I started cutting myself. No one knew about this til now." I pulled up my sleeves and held out both of my arms. Nathan stared at them wide eyed same with Natalie.
"what the fuck man?" she said.
"I know pathetic but I needed to release pain and that was the only way I could." I said pulling down my sleeves.
"why didn't you tell me." I turned around and saw all the boys and girls in the doorway. Fuck now everyone knows. Niall was in front.
"I didn't want anyone to know." I said quietly.
"but we could have helped you." Liam said walking towards me.
" I didn't want help then." I said looking down at my lap.
"more importantly why didn't you tell me." Monique said
"or me." Ashleigh added. Everyone looked at Andrea.
"what I already knew." she said shrugging.
"you told her?!" Natalie said furiously.
"I didn't tell her! She found out because at hip hop I hate wearing long sleeve shirt and sweats at practice because I would get to sweaty, So she ended up seeing them." I said.
"it's true." Andrea said. There was silence and not the type you would want in this situation.
"I need to get back to work guys good seeing you." Nathan said getting up.
"nice to see you too. But let me see your phone." I said. He handed his phone I put in my number. "if you ever need anything give me a call." I said with a smile.
"okay thanks Breanne. Bye guys." he said waving to everyone. Then he walked out of the front door.
"alright I'm starving I'm going to get some pizza." I said squeezing past everyone back to the living room. I could feel their eyes burning in the back of my head. I grabbed a pizza and sat on the couch watching to ending of Prom Night. A couple minutes later everyone came back in and sat down without saying a word.
