Not gonna happen

Hayley’s POV
Tomorrow! Tomorrow, that damn plane takes off. The damn plane that is taking my best friend away to a foreign city to meet people who are probably better than me. It’s, like, 3 AM and I just got off of the phone. First I was talking to Jessie, then I called Zayn to ask him “what the fuck?” then Louis called me again and asked me if I wanted to go get coffee with him. I don’t know why he was up at fucking 3AM but I agreed. After all, I can’t stay mad at him forever, yes he called me some pretty hurtful things but he probably didn’t mean them. Then I finally got some sleep.

“FUCK!” I cursed when my alarm went off at 8AM, signalling for me to get up.
“LAA, LA LA LA LA, LA LA LA LA, LA LA LA LAAAAAAA”
It wouldn’t shut up. I groaned, throwing the pillow that was firmly pressed to my ears on the floor. I sat up in a daze, not remembering why I set my clock so early. That’s right! I have to go get coffee with Louis and apologize to him for spilling chai tea on his clothes. Even though it was pretty funny.
I put on a warm sweater paired with some black skinny jeans and boots to match. Leaving my hair down in its natural curls I walked out the door, heading down the street towards my favourite coffee shop.

Louis’ POV
I tapped my fingers on the cool glass table. A nervous habit of mine. Where is Hayley? She was supposed to be here ten minutes ago. Maybe she forgot, no that couldn’t have happened since I reminded her this morning. Maybe she is just running late, then why didn’t she text me? Maybe she didn’t care enough to show up, or maybe~~
My thoughts were interrupted when someone plopped down in the seat in front of me. I looked up to see Hayley.
“Hey” she greeted, placing her handbag over the chair.
“Hi” I smiled in return, genuinely glad that she came. The next three hours consisted of us talking, laughing and hanging out like old times. Before everything changed. Before Elle came back. Before I found out I had this baby. But I wouldn’t change either of those things for the world. Elle and I are going really strong, we are a good couple. When we got back together it was comfortable and familiar and just nice.
“So, how are you and Elle?” Hayley asked, trying to be polite. I don’t think she actually cared because I know for a fact that she can’t stand Elle but whatever.
“Good” then the conversation fell. Normally I would in turn ask ‘how are you and---‘ but I know Hayley isn’t seeing anybody. Then I had a thought, to make her laugh which was something that sounded so precious and angelic.
“How are you and---“ I asked. It was just a joke. She froze and stopped twirling her straw around in her glass of water
“James” she muttered, returning to the straw like it was nothing. James…Hmmm..That name sounds familiar. Wait what the fuck? Hayley is dating someone else?

Hayley’s POV
I don’t know why I was so stupid. James? Why the fuck did I say James? I think it was my last desperate attempt to get him to be jealous and break it off with Elea-whore and the baby. After my endeavour to do just that with Luke didn’t work, I broke things off. We left it at good terms. Not friends, but acquaintances…and I am okay with that.
Louis face was blank. He looked to be in deep thought so I didn’t say anything, wondering if his facial expressions would give anything away as to what he was thinking. Suddenly, without any warning, his eyes turned dark and he fists clenched. He stood up and stormed out, leaving me in the shop by myself with shock written all over my face.

Notes

This chapter was sort of a filler in between. I know it is boring but whatever.
Also, has anyone seen the photo of Louis Tomlinson and Danielle Campbell on the boat in Mexico?
