Luna’s POV

“Can you wake Luna up, Ni?”, a British voice says. No! That means it’s time to land which is the worst part of flying. I can’t stand it. It’s like we’re basically falling out of the air. How could anyone like that? I keep my eyes shut even though I’m sure I probably tensed up in Niall’s arms. Being with him really helps me calm down. He draws small circles on my upper back and neck with his fingers. I love the way it feels on my skin. His light strokes help me relax quickly.

“Luna”, he says quietly against my skin after giving me a small kiss on my forehead, “Luna wake up.”

“I don’t wanna”, I murmur honestly with my eyes still closed.

“Come on, love. We have to land.” he says and I groan, “I know you don’t like it but we can’t stay in the air forever. You have to sit up, but I promise we’ll be okay.”

I sigh and sit up slowly to look out the window. Ni grabs the inside of my thigh and strokes it lightly. It’s not sexual in any way, just a way to know that he’s there.

But, I can’t focus on that right now! What happens if they pilot loses control of the plane and we all die? Or what happens if only some of us die? And I have to live without Louis or Liam or Harry or even worse, Niall? I’d couldn’t live with myself.

“I can feel you worrying. Stop thinking and talk to me. What are you thinking?”, Niall knows me so well. Almost too well.

“We’re gonna fall out of the sky and die”, I tell him in a monotone voice.

“Luna!” he chuckles a little. He shouldn’t laugh at my stress, and I think he realizes that when he stops giggling almost immediately. He didn’t think I was serious. I’ve never been more serious, “Luna, that won’t happen! We’re going to be okay. Just don’t think about it. Let’s talk.”

“What are we supposed to talk about when we are literally falling out of the sky?”

“Luna, we aren’t falling out of the sky. We’re completely safe.”

“Doubt it”, I mutter under my breath as he shakes his head.

“C’mon, baby. Talk to me. We’re almost home.” he says.

What I want to tell him is how nervous I am to be in Ireland and actually meet his family. I don’t think I’ve been this nervous since this day we left for tour.

Then it hits me, “Wait, have you told your family that we’re dating? Or do they just think we’re band members?”

“Well, no. I didn’t really know what to say every time I wanted to tell them”, he looks down a little embarrassed, “I mean I’ll obviously tell them when we get there.”

I laugh at his cuteness. He had all this time to tell them and he just didn’t! I can see out the window that we are beginning to land and I start to panic. My hands are getting clammy and my heart is beating out of my chest.

Niall grabs my hand and tilts my chin so I’m now looking at him, “C’mon, love! Let’s keep talking.” I smile a little at his big smile.

“Okay, well what are you gonna tell them?”, my voice comes out a lot less confident than it usually does.

“Well, I don’t know. We’re gonna see my brother and my nephew, Theo, today after we land. Do you want the rest of the guys to come too?”, he asks me.

I nod fastly as he chuckles quietly at my reaction. If the guys go, this way I’ll always have someone I really know to talk to. I don’t know, it’ll just make me a lot more comfortable and less nervous.

“Okay so the guys are coming”, he says with a smile on his face, “So we’ll go to the hotel quickly and then my brother’s house after dinner?” I nod again as the plane lands.

I look out the window and smile. I made it across the ocean without falling out of the sky!
“See we made it, Luna!”, Niall says sweetly as he kisses my head.

I lean up and give him a quick , yet passionate kiss before we’re back in public and we can’t even hold hands. “Thank you for helping me.” I say leaning my forehead against his once we break apart.

“It’s what I do.” he says kissing my forehead, leaving me left in my seat with a smile and butterflies in my stomach.
