Luna’s POV

I’m woken up early by my phone ringing. I roll out of Niall’s arms and look at the caller ID. It’s Beth’s husband!

“Hello?” I whisper as I walk to the front of the bus.

“Hey Luna. I have to be quick, but Beth is in surgery. The doctors say it’ll either save her life or kill her. I have to go see the kids, but I’ll let you know how her surgery goes. Bye!” he talks so fast. He hangs up before I can even say anything.

I’m so tired of this. I’ve barely slept or eaten, I’m sad and depressed all the time. Niall is all I have. Without these boys, I’d be a mess. They’ve been so understanding.

I can’t go back to sleep now. My sister is in a life threatening surgery. But that’s all I know. I can’t even cry though because I have no more tears left.

“Where’d my girlfriend go?” a sleepy Irish voice says quietly.

“I’m here love. Why are you up?”

“Well I noticed my cuddle buddy was missing so I came to see if you’re alright.”

“I’m, um, okay. Beth’s husband called. Beth is in a life threatening surgery. I was gonna come back to bed, but I can’t sleep.” I’m so tired, I’m just saying whatever comes to my head. “I’m tired of feeling like this. I’m tired and depressed. Before this all happened, I was so happy but now I feel sad and broken.” I sigh.

“Can you eat something for me? I promise you’ll feel better. We should just get you back in your old habits.”

“Fine”, I sigh. Niall jumps up and runs to the cupboards making me giggle.

“Well, what do you want? Crackers? Yogurt?” His excitement is so cute he makes me laugh even harder. He looks back over at me confused as to why I’m laughing so hard, which just makes me laugh even more. He starts laughing as he brings a bag of potato chips over to me. We just spend the next couple hours cuddling, eating potato chips, and watching TV show reruns.

For the first time in a long time, I’m not feeling sad. I might even be feeling a little happy right now.

Niall’s POV

Have you ever had someone in your life that makes your heart seem full? That whenever you see them you just want to hold them and hope they love you even half as much as you love them? That whenever you see them upset or down it breaks your heart too? And all you want to do is be with them all day, every day.

I’ve never felt that before. Until I met Luna. Seeing her happy makes me happy, seeing her sad makes me sad. I just want to hold her hand and take her everywhere. I want to show her off to the entire world. I want to give her the entire world.

Right now, she’s curled up into me. I think she’s feeling a little happier this morning. I’m trying to get her mind off of things. I hear a small snore escape from the curled up body next to me. I look down and see Luna sound asleep in my lap. I can’t help the smile that comes across my face.

She’s going to be okay. She hasn’t been okay the past few weeks, but she will be okay. I’m willing to do everything in my power to make sure she’s okay. My girl is going to be okay.

It only takes half an hour or so for all the rest of the guys to wake up and come to the front of the bus. Luna is still asleep so I make sure all the guys are quiet. She needs her sleep.

“Aww, Baby Niall and Princess Luna are cuddling.” Liam mocks.

“Baby Niall is growing up before our eyes!” Louis adds.

I roll my eyes, “Don’t wake her up guys. She needs to sleep.” As soon as I finish talking I feel Luna moving in my lap. She's barely gotten any sleep the last few weeks. I play with her hair so maybe she falls back asleep.

“Shh, love. Go back to bed.” I whisper.. She rolls over in my lap and falls back to sleep quickly. She’s so beautiful. Looking down at her brings a smile to my face and butterflies to my stomach.

“You really do love her, don’t you Nialler?” Harry says quietly.

I blush a little and keep my eyes on Luna, “Yeah. I really do.” I really really do.

“She loves you too Niall. She loves you a lot. You can see it when you look into each other’s eyes. I think you guys are meant to be.” Liam adds softly.

I don’t know what to say. “I love her so much.” is all I can manage to get out.

“When are you guys going to tell the public?” Liam asks.

“I haven’t even told my family”

“What!?” Louis exclaims.

“Shh, be quiet. We were going to but then all this stuff with Luna’s family happened and we just haven’t yet.”

“You should tell your family, Niall. They’re gonna wanna meet her when we get to Ireland.” Louis says quieter.

“I’ll talk to Luna about it when she wakes up.” I don’t know if she’s going to be up for it. “But we aren’t telling anyone else for awhile. She wants to keep everything private so we will.” I add. The boys all nod understandingly.

A few minutes later Luna yawns and sits up to cuddle next to me. “Good morning” she says keeping her eyes closed.

She’s so cute when she’s tired. “Good morning, Sleeping Beauty.” I say.

She opens her eyes and realizes all the guys are with us now too. “Where are we going today?” she asks with her eyebrows furrowed.

“LA. We have a bunch of interviews and 2 concerts there. We’re there for three days.” Harry answers.

“Oh fun.” she says and reaches for her phone, “What time is it? I’m hungry.” she continues without looking up at her phone.

The guys and I all smile because this is the first time she’s said she was hungry in awhile, “It’s noon. What do you want for lunch?”

“I’ll eat anything right now, honestly.” That just makes me even happier. She’s getting better. Everything’s going to be getting better
