Niall’s POV

Liam and I get out of the dark van after security. I take a step back to look at the hotel, it looks very nice from the outside. I have to admit, I find it kind of funny this is Luna’s favorite spot in the world. But it’s worth being able to make her happy. I hear a car pull up behind us and look to see it an identical car to ours. Out of it comes a ton of security then Louis, Luna and Harry.

The look on Luna’s face brings butterflies to my stomach. She’s smiling ear to ear like a little kid who just got a puppy. She’s staring mesmerized at the huge hotel in front of us. I walk over to them with Liam and security. Our hands touched for a second then she quickly pulled it away and looked at me with eyes that shouted warning. I completely forgot. No one can know we’re together. Ugh, I’m going to have to stay away from her because if I get too close I can’t keep my hands to myself.

“Ready?” Liam says.

“Yes! Let’s go!”, Luna says with an American accent.

I honestly can’t help but smile. It’s probably best to walk next to Louis and talk to him. We all walk inside. Luna is talking to Harry and Liam as I walk next Louis behind them.

Luna points straight ahead, “That’s where the giraffes are!! Oh my gosh, I can’t wait to see them.”

Giraffes inside the hotel? I turn to Louis, “There are animals in the hotel?”

“I have no idea. I’m very confused”, Louis says with a shrug.

“No, well kinda. They’re on the outside of the hotel I’ll show you!” Luna says with her beautiful smile. She walks away and we all follow closely behind her. “See, you go over here”, she continues and walk down some stairs, “Then out here are all the animals. They have all sorts. That’s why it’s called Animal Kingdom Lodge geniuses.”

We all look out and see all types of animals. Giraffes, warthogs, and some I don’t even know the name of.

We’ve been looking at the animals for ten minutes now and I’m starving for dinner, “Why don’t we go to our rooms and then go get some dinner?”, I say to the guys and Luna.

“Okay but then can we come back and watch the giraffes?” Luna says finally looking at me.

“Of course beautif-um Luna”, I stutter. Am I allowed to talk to her like that? I don’t know what to say. Whatever, we’ll talk about that later. We turn around back inside the hotel and make our way to the bedrooms. Louis, Liam, and Harry have their own rooms but Luna and I are sharing a room.

As soon as I unlock the door and take the first few steps in, I hear Luna gasp as she pushes past me and heads straight for the balcony. She pushes away the curtains and steps outside. I follow her to see what she’s been looking at. Right outside our room are three giraffes and two antelope. If you look out a little further you can see more giraffes and antelope and some zebras and other animals.

“I’m so happy right now, Niall. You have no idea.”, Luna says after a minute of looking.

There’s no other person around us right now, we’re completely alone for what feels like forever. So I wrap my arms around her from the back and tell her, “Me too beautiful.” before kissing her under her ear.

“What do you want for dinner? There’s a restaurant in the hotel we can go to. It’s really good”, she suggests.

“Anywhere is fine, I’m not picky.” I tell her as I laugh lightly.

“Oh I know”, Luna says laughing too.
