Breaking the news to the family
When I reached the scene of the accident there he was the love of my life the boy that I loved more than anyone in this world dead… At that moment I wanted to die as well I was blaming God why God why take such an innocent boy like this so early in my life.. we were supposed to spend the rest of our lives together living happy ever after and this incident happens…
I had to break the news to Deandre mom, I couldn’t break a news like this, if I am feeling like this what more his mother… but I had to toughen up and be a strong person.
Me: “ Hey, I have some bad news Deandre didn’t make it alive I arrived the scene of the accident and he was already gone. I know this will be a very hard to move on but he is with the angels God took him away because he knows that this world is too good for a kind and generous guy”.
Deandre Mom: * Cries for a good whole minute * “Elizabeth how can my son be dead he is gone way too soon he has so many ambitions in life a dream he wants to accomplish… “
Me: “ I understand the situation you are going through right now I will leave you alone now and I will come and see you soon”.
Crystal gives me a ride back to my place, as I get ready to go and see Deandre Mom. I told crystal that I will be meeting her at Deandre’s house ,so that will give her time to change and take her time.

I got ready and headed right out of the house I was trying to gather my thoughts in the car how to handle the situation… I said to myself this is the longest ride of my life God I need your help to guide me through and help me through this situation…
I reached the house the sister opens up the door I see the little girl burst out in tears my weakness has struck me I cannot see anybody cry, I hugged that little girl and I was about to tear up and cry along with the family but I said to myself “Elizabeth be strong for the family you have to be the hero for them”.

I couldn’t hold myself from crying he has come so far to reach his dreams and all of a sudden it all got shattered away just with a blink of an eye. Crystal suddenly comes and knocks at the door she was wearing :

I thank God that crystal came into the door cause I was about to run out of solutions to fix the situation because he was my baby as well and no body can ever replace that.
Deadre Mom: “ Hey crystal we were just sharing pictures with the family and Elizabeth of Deandre sister and his career as a musician.”
Crystal: “Your son was a very talented musician , certainly one of a kind my condolences goes out to you and your family”.
Deandre Mom: “Thank you crystal you are very kind”
Suddenly my phone rings and it was my mother.
Mom: “ Where are you now? how did the interview go?”
Me: “Mom it went great now is not a right time to talk something very bad happened with Deandre I will call you as soon as I reach back home okay?”
Mom: “WHAT HAPPENED? TO HIM I HOPE HE IS OKAY”
Me: “Will talk later mom bye”.
Surely enough after half an hour I headed out the door.
Me: “When is Deandre funeral going to be tomorrow”?
Deandre mom: “Meet me back here by 10 am”
Me: “Okay see you tomorrow and please stay safe and don’t do anymore damage to the family remember Deandre is with God now which is a much better place”.
Deandre mom: “Thank you Elizabeth you are truly a genuine person inside and out Deandre picked a good girl to spend the rest of his life with”.
We both shared a huge family hug and departed into our separate ways.
Crystal: “You missy, remember what you told Deandre mom about causing more damage I hope you don’t hurt yourself either I don’t want to lose you okay I will meet you here tomorrow at 10 am don’t hurt yourself cause Deandre wouldn’t want you to do that”.
Me: “ Okay I love you see you tomorrow here I don’t know what my life would be without Deandre or you”.
Crystal: “Can you stop it!! You are a great person that is why everyone loves you so much and cares about you so get rest will talk tomorrow good night”.
When I headed back home I gave my mom a call.
Me: “ Hey mom…”
Mom: “Tell me what happened to Deandre now..”
Me: “ He passed away in a car accident today, right when I was about to tell him the amazing news that I got a promotional job he died” I cried I couldn’t hold my tears back anymore…
Mom: “ I really don’t know what to say… I wish I was there to help you get through this but I know you will get through it I taught you how to be a strong person, be strong and if you need anything I am here”.
Me: “ I will need you more than anything now mom I don’t want to lose another person that I love please take care of your health”.
Mom: “ Don’t worry about me Elizabeth I love you okay remember that no matter what you will always be my daughter, and I love you I couldn’t have been more proud of you that I raised such a beautiful and smart daughter . Deandre was very lucky to have a girlfriend like you now you go get some sleep okay”.
Me: “ Thank you mommy, you raised me to be a strong women without you I wouldn’t be anywhere I love you say hi to broski and dad for me I love you all good night I love you”
Surely enough after that phone call with my mom I felt a little bit okay so I put on my night wear and headed to bed.
