The New Boy

The bright morning sun shined through my window and onto my floor. Nothing but the sounds of birds chirping. That was until Niall ran into my room, breaking the silence. "Get up! Get up! Time for school!" He yelled and jumped onto my bed. "Stop it." I laughed. He laid down next to me. "Sorry Katie cat. You ready for school to start?" He asked. I shook my head. "I know you're still upset, but mom and dad would've wanted you to move on and be happy. They would want you to have a good time. Come on let's get you ready." He smiled and pulled me to my feet. He pulled me into the closet. "Here. This is your favorite outfit. You should wear it today." He said and handed me a pair of black high waisted shorts and a maroon crop top. "Thanks." I whispered. "Get ready. I'm gonna go downstairs and make some breakfast." He said and kissed my forehead. He ran off and I changed into the outfit he picked out for me. I brushed my hair, making it strait. I put on some mascara and eyeliner before going downstairs. "Hey I made pancakes." Niall smiled. "I'm not hungry." I mumbled and grabbed a bottle of water. I took a big sip of it. "I'm really worried about you and so is everyone else. You haven't been eating lately. You haven't even come out of your room. You've only talked to me. You refuse to talk to anyone else. I know you're upset but you have to move on. I know you were a lot closer to them then I ever was but still. Everything's gonna be okay." He said. I nodded my head. "Promise me something Katie." He whispered. I looked up at him signaling him to continue. "Please talk to people. Don't block people out. Be nice to people and even make some new friends. Be happy. Please promise me that." He begged. "I'll try." I mumbled. "No. You have to promise me." He demanded. "Fine." I sighed. "Thank you." He smiled and hugged me tight. "Come on let's go." He whispered and kissed the top of my head. We got our back packs and got in the car. I don't even remember the last time I walked outside this house. I am now scared of cars. I was constantly yelling at Niall to slow down and be careful.

When we got there we were meeting our group at our usual spot, a brick wall with a picnic table in front of it. That's where we went when we didn't have classes, before school, and where we ate lunch. We would sometimes meet there after school. "Katie cat!" Louis yelled and ran towards me. He hugged me tight. "I've missed you so much. I texted you and called you but you didn't answer. Was something wrong? Are you okay?" He asked. I shook my head. "Are you still upset about the accident?" He whispered. I nodded my head. "I'm sorry kitty but you gotta get over it. I know that you were really close to them. Just know that we are all here for you. We can help you. You just need to go out and party and get your mind off of it. How about we have a big party at my house tonight?" He smiled. I shrugged my shoulders. "I'm taking that as a yes." He laughed and pulled me over to everyone else. "Guys we're having a party tonight at my place. Tell everyone." Louis informed them. Everyone said hi to me and I said hi to them. I sat on the wall while they talked. I am surrounded by people but I've never felt more lonely. They all have their girlfriends and boyfriends. Then I'm just here. I'm the weird quiet kid that no one talks to besides the people in this group. The bell pulled me out of my thoughts. I grabbed my bag and walked away quickly. I heard them call after me but I didn't pay any attention to them. I carried on walking.

I had a couple classes before lunch. I had math, English, chemistry, and physics before lunch. After that I just had history. I bought a sandwich and sat down at the table between Niall and Louis. "Hey." They all smiled. I gave them all a fake smile. "Remember our promise." Niall whispered. I nodded my head. "So how were your classes?" Louis asked me. "They were okay." I whispered. I unwrapped my sandwich. I picked pieces of the bread, never really eating it. They all started laughing and talking. "Aren't you gonna eat that?" Harry asked me and pointed to my sandwich. "Not hungry." I said and pushed it to the middle of the table. I got up and left. I sat in the bathroom for the rest of lunch. I heard the bell ring so I started walking to history.

I sat in the back corner. The teacher started talking and going over everything. I honestly wasn't listening. I was just drawing. I heard the door open. I looked up to see who it was. There stood a tall, brown hairs guy. He had the prettiest green eyEs and tattoos covered his body. He was wearing black skinny jeans and a white v-neck. "You must be Harry. You're the new student right?" The teacher asked him. He nodded his head. "Take a seat please." The teacher smiled. I didn't even catch his name but oh well. I was more interested in the other boy. He looked around until his eyes landed on me. He smirked and walked over to me. He sat down. I pretended not to notice. "Hey. I'm Harry styles." He whispered in my ear. His voice was so deep and raspy. "I'm Katie horan." I smiled. "You have a beautiful smile." He smiled. I look at him and good god those dimples. They're so deep I could live in them. "Thanks." I blushed. "What are you drawing?" He asked. I looked at my paper. "A flower." I replied. "You're a very good artist." He smiled. He had the whitest teeth too. "You two in the back. Quiet please." The teacher told us. "I'm so sorry sir. Won't happen again." I apologized. He smiled at me and went back to talking.

After class was over we started packing up our stuff. "So you're new to the school?" I asked. He nodded his head. "Well there's a party at my friends house tonight if you want to come." I smiled hoping he would agree to come. "That's sounds fun. Can you text me the adress and the time?" He asked. I nodded my head. He grabbed his phone and handed it to me. I made a new contact for myself and added my number. "How about a picture with that beautiful smile of yours?" He asked. I smiled and looked down. He took a picture of me. "Oh wait can you put your number in my phone?" I wondered. He nodded his head and smiled big. I handed him my phone. Our hands touched. His skin was soft. His hands were huge as I watched him type his name and number. "Here you go." He said and handed me my phone. "Thank you. I guess I'll see you later." I smiled. "Yeah see you later. Bye." He waved. "Bye." I said before leaving. I met everyone at the wall.

"Hey you look happy! What happened?" Niall asked and hugged me. "I met a guy. He's new to the school. He's coming to the party." I smiled. "Oh is he that Harry guy?" Gigi asked. I nodded my head. "Oh yeah. I saw him earlier. He's really hot." Danielle said. "Hey!" Louis yelled affended. "Not as hot as you though." She added and kissed his cheek. "Now what else do you know about him? Is he a good guy? Will he treat you good?" Louis asked. "He seemed nice." I shrugged. "Now you don't agree to do anything with him. You have to date for at least three months. I have to meet him before you guys date." Niall said. "Same here." Louis agreed. "Please guys. Don't embarrass me." I begged. "You're like my little sister. I need to make sure that you have the best guy possible." Louis smiled. "And you are my actual little sister. I need to protect you." Niall agreed. "I am younger then you by 12 minutes." I laughed. "Still I'm older." He said. I shook my head. "We need to go get ready for the party. Everyone meet at my house at 7. The party starts at 8." Louis said. Everyone nodded their head. Niall drove me back home so we could get ready. I was really excited yet really scared. I hope tonight goes well.
